My husband and I visited for a bite to eat. The atmosphere was bright and beautiful with high ceilings, good music and attentive service. The food was good. Me being a vegan, it would be great to have the choice of oat or almond milk for my coffee. I was able to buy sourdough bread at the bakery and browse through the accessories, books and furniture. Overall, it was a fine experience

Good food, but the menu is very difficult to understand. Changes daily, no ingredients listed, no prices listed. Don't try and look it up online. The store and bakery is also a nice visit. Great co-working space as well. Often pretty crowded.

Lulu cafe is a little hidden gem on the Corniche. With a spacious but still welcoming atmosphere, you'll think for one second you were in SoHo NY or in Shoreditch in London. Located inside a arty furniture shopping space, the fact that it's a bit hard to find add to the experience. The food is amazing, made out of fresh groceries purchased the same day. Don't expect to eat the same thing there, the day's menu is created after the chef went shopping his products. Pricing wise it's reasonable, I ended up with a 12,000 xof bill for a huge salad a juice and a desert. My only negative point is the service being a little bit slow, to get your order. I think the place could work with one or 2 more servers. All that said, you still have to try LULU cafe when you're in town!!!

Updated review. (July 2021): finally caught this place open. Had a good brunch here. Menu was somewhat limited. Great outdoor seating. Store has good variety of items, good for finding gifts. Some interesting furniture. 2020 review: Too bad. Came on Saturday December 26th at 11h00 and it was closed. No one answered phone. Appeared as open on Google maps. Big sign out front saying “sale.” Would be great if owners would keep open days/times current.

Cafe has a menu fused with both traditional and innovative fare. Everything from noodles to roasted fish. Multiple different daily specials are offered. Juices and drinks (non-caffeinated and caffeinated) are excellent. Nice relaxing atmosphere with inside/outside dinning that is somewhat melded into the associated store. Recommend for a great lunch spot.

Such an awesome hip place in the very cool city that Dakar is. The food is good and is organic. The portions are decent. The price are a little high for Dakar, but in reality they are in line with other cafés of its class. If you are in Dakar for the first time, this café should be at the top of your priority list. You might also enjoy the interior design studio next door.

A nice atmosphere! A shop with all sorts of things with African theme, from furniture to books, clothes, table mats, trays. It has also a cafe, and a small deli where you can buy food (the Belgian meatloaf was great!) that are served in the cafe and a few jars stuff. Portions are generous! Really great ambiance and has a nice light spacious trendy feel.

Very cool spot with great food and good vibes. You can eat inside or on the terrace. Both lovely options. The shopping is also quite nice with some luxury appointments and clothing. Also visit the shop out front for east sandwiches and other foods

Nice spot. Food was just OK. Service was terrible. We were dismissed quite a few times and frankly couldn’t ask one question without feeling like we were getting on our waiter’s nerves. Definitely ruined my experience.

Arrived at 10:30, 3 people, sat at a 4 person table. Two people ordered breakfast. At noon we were told we had to move because they were separating our table into two, even tho I told them we would stay through lunch. The two people eating weren’t allowed to finish, no one helped us move our plates, and then the serving staff expressed their displeasure loudly in Wolof. Unprofessional and quite honestly, if you plan to separate tables everyday, why don’t you just leave them that way.

This place is so great. The food is so fresh and it really changed my entire perception of food available in Dakar. The service is exceptional and its a wonderful place to get some work done. A tip: if you like to sit outdoors call in advance to reserve a table as it can get busy and the tables fill up fast!

New Lulu cafe just opened up within the home good store. Excellent food, great decor, and great little but high quality gift store. Has a nice area for kids, and a spacious outdoor seating area. Excellent spot for brunch and lunch.

Lulu comprises of a deli, home interior store & restaurant with an outdoor seating area. The restaurant focuses on fusion international cuisine with a focus on sustainable local products and dishes with a twist. Occasional events for Soul Train/disco style music.

We first came to Lulu 7 years ago when they had just opened and Clement was just beginning with few pieces of furniture and an assortment of housewares. It’s incredible to see the community space that he and his family have created, a great layout for work or play with unique brands in the store and delicious food in the restaurant. We make sure to visit and support every time my family and I are in Dakar.

I love Lulu 😍 makes me feel at home when I pass by Dakar. Mbaye, Eric and Azziz are the kindest! Don’t miss out passing by the shops (I could not get enough chocolate mousse!!)

Great food and very generous proportions. It’s often very crowded however and their meals are very expensive. They have many vegetarian options and do serve organic vegetables so I’d still recommend it if budget it’s not a concern.

We went there for lunch and had a really good abundant plate of mixed salat and a sandwich which were delicious. I really like the atmosphere and co-working opportunities.

Spent the day here working twice, and enjoyed it. It's vibrant and eclectic. There are several different places to sit, there is good lighting and enough power outlets. Food selection is a bit limited, but really enjoyed the lulu chicken salad. Service is the main issue... it took a long time for things to be cleared off the table, thus inviting flies and their friends. Definitely something that can be improved on.

Nice quiet garden to sit outside away from the street and enjoy yourself. Bit more pricey than other locations. Credit Card payment wasn't possible because of technical issues which is extremely common in Dakar and very annoying and nobody cares to tell you about it.

This is my favourite cafe in Dakar. Well designed, great cofee, super staff, good vibe. Good place for remote work but only if you don't have important meetings because as me a lot of people like to work there and it's a kind noisy but ambiance there is really superb I recommend yes 👌

Nice food and staff. Mostly crowded during lunch time and taking a bit too long for the food.

I’m disappointed today with this restaurant . It’s both of my sons birthdays and the place I chose for them was Lulu cafe just because I thought their burger was nice once in the past . We ordered 3 burgers , the meat came up so burnt , too much sauce and a spicy one , the bread was old and the salad had sand !! None of us could eat it . I then approached Aziz to explain , he wanted to change the salad after confirming it’s indeed a sandy black pepper they used but it was too late for us . He knew it was a birthday event but did nothing to make our experience better ! The bill came up to the same exact amount we ordered even though it was filled with sand and meat was burnt , I only ate a small part of my food ! Anyway never again ! You’ve lost a customer .

👍 A popular place tohave ice- cream in Dakar (2000 Cefa, ~ 3€ for two generous scoops of ice-cream). The pistachio icecream was just amazing, and the most "interesting" one was vanial charcoal icecream. They have nice air-conditioned place to sit but it might be crowded depding on time of visit. 👍👍 A great place, if not the best in Dakar, for focus working, learning or just chilling… I’ve experienced teamwork and meetings in two Layu places and it went so smoothly and well that you feel like you are in a company meeting room (but more cozy) or a library. Keep it in mind next time you want some...

👍👍 Superb quality - in the heart of Dakar. Friendly and attentive service, nice food, nice wine and well-prepared drinks (Mojito taste was almost exactly as the one we had in Havana!). Congratulations, well done, and keep it up!
