A beautifully unique place to spend your surf holiday. Away from the hustle bustle of downtown Dakar, Ngor island is host to a chilled out atmosphere with plenty of authentic African vibes. The camp is located right next to a world class wave, and while we didn't have excellent conditions every day while we were there in November, we saw the potential. When that waves fires, it's phenomenal. And of course, the crowds are still low relative to the quality of the waves, because not too many people have discovered Senegalese surfing yet. We stayed in the camp for over a month, and were thoroughly impressed with the vibes cultivated amongst all the staff and guests. For the most part, people come with surfing as their highest priority, so it creates a fun and exciting energy all about catching waves. When you're not actually riding them, you're usually talking about riding them, which is exactly what I look for in a good surf camp. There's also plenty of activities and recommendations offered for days when you need a break or the waves aren't great, so no need to figure that out yourself. Overall, highly recommend this place for the adventurous surf traveler looking to mix it up from the standard destinations.

A HUGE THANK YOU to Pierre, Pedro, Adama, Jib, and the rest of the team. The vibe, the friendliness, and the knowledge of everyone here made for the trip of a lifetime. I stayed with my brother for a week+ here. We were absolute beginners surrounded by much more experienced surfers, and felt completely welcomed and embraced by everyone. Pierre is a fantastic leader and manager of the camp, and his warmth permeates the place. We will return. Thanks a lot guys, y'all are awesome.

I have recently come home from 6 weeks staying at the Surf Camp. The camp is run by the lovely Pierre, who has created such a magical place and who seems to be constantly improving the camp! A massive thank you to Pierre, Adama, Ngalla Alassanne, Mangrove, King Charles, Captain Finn, Eliot, Mustafa and Mami (and anyone else I have forgotten). The team organised multiple daily trips to different surf spots, were always on hand to answer questions and give advice. The organisation was taken care out and you then had the freedom join the options given or do as you wish. It was fun getting joint car/boat rides to surf spots and surfing within the group. There were also trips organised a couple hours south when I was there as the swell was right for the spot, absolutely loved Pierre de Lisse… Was such an awesome day trip bonus for it to be included within the camp at no additional price. Really recommend going on that trip if the option comes up! The surf lessons were fantastic, I am an intermediate surfer and was very impressed from the lessons. Both instructors were great! I mostly was taught by Adama who was really reassuring, patient and I felt super safe in the water with him. Both instructors also were frothing in the surf which made it really fun! I really enjoyed the option for surf theory by Pierre too as well as seeing drone footage to enable improvement. There is also sometimes a photographer hired sometimes…. These were an awesome additional. You can purchase the drone footage/photos after if you wish. Food was great (they catered to me being vegan) and food was delicious and plentiful! Brekkie was simple but good! Bring your own re-useable water bottle as they have free filtered water at the camp. I stayed in the female door room, the dorm rooms range from I believe 6 beds to rooms with 3 or just 2. I was lucky enough to get a room for just two people and enjoyed the social aspect of the dorm style room and it was cleaned daily and was basic but great. The camp itself seems to attract really great guests, everyone was laid back and it was a great chilled atmosphere with people hanging out around the pool, a group of people “working from home” and tanning and workout/yoga space on the rooftop that overlooks the ocean! The rooftop is private and has good quality yoga matts! During times of low or no swell there is a fabric market you can go to, dessert trip, safari, trip to Goree Island and a few others. Pierre also has a projector and puts on cinema nights occasionally which were pretty awesome by the pool! During dinner drone footage is sometimes shown of the days surfing. The camp also has some really great books to use! There are also some fancy places to visit if you want a bit of luxury whilst you are there, check out Boma Hotel and Share Des Mamelles. There are also some great places to party….the dancing and music is pretty extraordinary! As a solo female traveler, I felt super safe the whole time. I enjoyed the relaxed, open minded culture of Dakar. Always felt comfortable, clothing was very relaxed. My experience with the locals was very positive, felt really welcomed, safe and cared for. People really seem to want the tourists to have a lovely time. The attitude/relationship of the men towards me were very different to a lot of places I have travelled to, felt really comfortable the whole time and wasn’t harassed once on my 6 week trip. As a whole the people are very genuine and kind. I had the most wonderful time and definitely recommend the camp :) Please give the little feral camp dog Tanket a cuddle if you do (and Rita!).

I rented a surfboard recently and didn't get told how many sea urchins there would be on the area!! . The leash was not well tied, so I lost the board with one wave and went to the rocks. Trying to get it back, while paddling I got several spikes on my feet that last for few weeks till I got the remove them al, and my feet got infected for few days. It would be good to advise that when getting to the spot as any information is very welcome when you're going to surf on a new spot for the first time.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the surf camp. There is a real sense of community amongst the staff and approx 20 guests at this place. Surfing is the number 1 priority, and the location is superb to support this. Ngor island itself is a very relaxed spot, and you feel very safe in the surf camp. There are the 2 main waves accessible straight from the island. There are a number of other surf spots around Dakar for which transport is provided by the camp. Everyday, breakfast and dinner is shared communally around the big table. Every night, the experienced team discuss the predicted surf conditions for the next day, and create itineraries to support the conditions and skill levels. The accommodation in dorms was fine, with decent mosquito nets for the single beds and shared bathrooms. In the afternoons you can enjoy a beer by the pool. The crowd was a variety of Europeans during my stay. The team can speak both English and French very well. I'd say this place is best enjoyed by experienced surfers. Beginners and weekend warriors may find the main wave spots to be quite challenging as we did. Persevere and you will progress, but be prepared to be tired! Be sure to make your voice heard too, so you have the best experience.

I had such a nice stay in this super cool surf camp! The staff Pierre Louis, Elliot, and all other surfer guys are so helpful, friendly and individually nice with each one! The island Ngor and the camp are very special and with great vibes. Breakfast and Dinner is really good and shared with the group like Family. There are different surf trips offered per day for all levels and the camp has good boards and equipment. Loved the Roof top where there were Yoga Mats available for little Sunset sessions. Leaving Ngor Island with beautiful memories :-) Merci Beaucoup!

Have recently arrived in Dakar and Pierre and the NISC crew have made my arrival and integration into the city and surf scene so much easier. I've taken lessons and guiding, participated in surf trips out of Dakar, as well as surf theory classes - all of which have enabled me to surf independently, feeling comfortable and confident with the majority of the spots around the city. For the 'trickier' spots, the guiding sessions are perfect for giving confidence regarding the conditions and particularities. Not only has the camp helped me to surf regularly since my arrival, but the people I've met through the surf lessons and trips, as well as other activities - such as the sunset yoga classes - have become the main part of my social circle here. Highly recommend getting in touch with the camp to arrange tailor-made surf support, adapted to your needs!

Can I give 6 stars? My experience at the surfcamp was unique. From the beginning we felt taken care of. Pierre picked us up at the airport, it was late and he had us leave some spare dinner. The camp has its own charm, in the colorful and peaceful Ile of Ngor. It has everything you need: a long table where each night we had dinner together with all the other guests, it was a moment of sharing, a true community feeling that you don't see often in other camps. We ate some traditional Senegalese food. At the end of the dinner they explain the program of the next day, where/when to go surfing depending on your level. There is a rooftop where we did yoga in the morning, a hammock space, and about the bedroom, i had my best dreams sleeping in that mattress with the sound of the waves in the background! Pierre and the crew of the camp were really friendly and interested in helping us. I took surf lessons, and I received useful feedback from the teachers. I made a significant improvement in only few days!! I would add a 6th star because of the camp, the crew and the people (advanced, intermediate, beginner surfers) who were there felt aligned, with the same values and spirit. It created a warm and unique atmosphere that I wish everyone to experience. Thank you Pierre!

Best Surf Camp I have stayed so far: We arrived very late at night (2am) and everything was perfectly organised. From the pick-up at the airport to the island transfer. Pierre - the owner - is super helpful and knows everything about surfing. At night, there is dinner for everyone and it feels like a big community. My friend came with me - she didn't surf - and she loved it, too. So it is a 100% recommendation from my side!

The thing I benefited from the most is the quality surf guiding service - we took boat trips and 4x4s everyday, unless the waves out front were pumping. Breakfast and dinner is SO good - I never ate the same meal for 2 weeks straight. The surf cinema nights are cool and the bed mattresses are hotel quality. Much better than next door, no comparison. Thanks Ngor Island, I'll be back !

My friends and I had a great week and a half in the surf camp. We met wonderful people and appreciated the fact that all is so surf-oriented. The staff is so nice and took special care of any request. Definitely a place to come back.

Stayed here for 2 weeks on a solo summer surf trip to escape the madness of UK and was lucky to see the house after its recent refurbishment. Really nice rooms and bathrooms as well as lots of sheek artwork and decorations around the place. Also has a great social area with sofas, a small library filled with a range of great surf books and a roof terrace for 360 views. The location for surfing speaks for itself and the waves are unspoilt. Hidden gem.

Spent a month here and loved it…the only place to stay if you want to surf Senegal. Pierre and the team will sort all your surfing needs and the camp serves as an awesome place to relax and meet other likeminded surfers…a home away from home. The camp is a minute from Ngor right and the waves are the least crowded I’ve ever seen. Special mention to Charles and Abu, two surf guides from Sierra Leone, who know how to rip whilst also guiding you on your Senegalese surfing adventure. Definitely will come back again for some Winter swell.

We've spent three weeks at this beautiful place and fell in love with it. The whole crew is super friendly and helpful, the daily surf schedule for every level is well planned and organised - you'll be at the right spot at the right time. The regurarly shot surf photos and video are a pretty nice extra you won't find in other camps. Long story short: We'll come back :-)

I have spent the whole month of October at the surfcamp and the experience has been incredible. Pierre has a clear vision for how a surfcamp should run, and he works hard every day to make it happen. In addition, he cares about getting to know you, and making your stay the best possible. Abu and Charles, the senior surf guides, will help you understand each spot, feel safe and catch more waves. Abu is also a great shaper, in case you need a ding repair. On top of all that, they are two really nice people, and the passion with which they live surfing is just contagious. Tim, the junior surf guide, arrived when I had been at the surfcamp for two weeks, and he brought a positive energy into the place. He's warm and hilarious. The rest of the people who work there are genuinely nice and willing to help in whatever is needed. The dorms are basic but clean, enough even for long stays. The common areas and pool are great for chilling. The food is very good, and pizza night and Tuesday tacos add a bit of fun and variety. They always have vegan/vegetarian options. A few steps from the sufcamp you have N'gor right (it seems to always work, it's ridiculous) and a short walk away you have N'gor left (I love you). Trips to different spots on mainland are organized daily, depending on surf conditions and your level. On the best days, in addition, there is a photographer available. In short, a great experience, with good people and good waves. P.S. The two dogs at the surfcamp are awesome. One seems to be alive only if there is food nearby, the other will accompany you to check the surf or walk around the island.

Just returned from my surfing trip back home. Still can see these amazing waves when I close my eyes. I had an exceptional experience, thanks to Pierre and the team. Even the wet season with its moisture and humidity have not spoiled the outstanding surfing we had there. The camp offers everything needed to people looking to ride waves: 1) Perfect surfing. Lot’s of fairly empty spots in 30 minutes distance by boat or car ride. One of the worlds level spots is in less than 5 minutes’ walk distance. The spots are exposed to different swells and winds which all together almost surely guaranty you waves all year round. 2) The knowledgeable instructor providing insights of each spot details and helping you to improve your surfing. 3) Abundant food. When you intensively surf 4-5 hours a day the last thing you want to bother is to prepare dinner. The question is completely taken care about. Every day we had different types of local food. For me personally, it was a very big point. 4) A wide variety of surf board to rent for any levels of surfing. 5) Fairly stable water and internet connection to shower and chill between the sessions. 6) I was personally lucky to meet very interesting and open-minded people in the camp. Very good and friendly vibes in the camp. I think ordinary and close-minded folks don’t get there 😊 Now, people, be aware that this is Africa with all consequences. For example, the electricity and water pressure can drop sometimes. Or, you may need to be a bit more organized when you charge your devices (because the electricity used in the camp is generated by solar panels). There can be a few other things that may not be as straightforward as people might have got used to at home. Hence, if you are looking for a perfect accommodation with an AC and other perks you may need to think twice. My recommendations to those who are thinking to travel to Senegal: 1) It is not super cheep as you may have thought. Average lunch will be 7 to 12 EUR deepening on a place. For a country with an average monthly income of less than 100 EUR this is quite surprising. Hence, budget accordingly. 2) Obviously, forget about paying by cards. You will need cash everywhere and maybe it makes sense to withdraw some cash directly in the airport. 3) Reef spots are covered with sea urchins. For me it was a big thing as I got them twice during my 10 days trip. Not a big thing if you get one but you may have to skip couple of sessions until fully recovered. Consider buying some boots that will cover your feet. 4) My personal opinion is that it is better to travel to Senegal if you are already a bit experienced surfer. I reckon if you never surfed you should probably mind another place. Of cause people of different levels and even with 0 experiences are welcomed and will be taught and helped, but most of the good spots are reefs and therefore people experienced will benefit and enjoy much more. Never wrote such a long report. But hope it helps people. Semyon

I’ve stayed at the camp first in 2017 and have come here every year since. The location is unbeatable, on the tip of the cozy Island of Ngor and half a minute away from Ngor Right. Breakfast and dinner are included and delicious, with many local dishes. I especially enjoy the cozy atmosphere in the camp, and that people have dinner together and hang out at the pool. The staff is very friendly and helpful, with mostly locals, which gives a great vibe. I’ve never been to a camp with so many intermediate and advanced surfers, so the general vibe is focused on surfing 🤙

First time surfing Ngor Island Pierre and the whole staff were super welcoming! Pierre is very passionate about everyone of all skill levels getting on good waves. Every night at dinner he goes over the plan for the next days surf plans and sets up trucks or surf guides accordingly. Super good dinner and breakfast you’ll be fed real well. Also lots of activities outside the surfing Pierre sets up for all the camp. Definitely a good destination to come to I’d recommend to anyone trying to find user friendly to advanced waves with minimal crowd.

Had a great time here! The location is idyllic, on a quiet island close to the bustling city of Dakar. The hostel provides multiple surf trips each day, as well as tasty breakfasts and dinners. Surfing and eating together makes it easy to bond with other people in the hostel and creates a homely atmosphere. Big thank you to the host and the staff for their kindness and dedication <3

You would not be able to experience all the surf that Senegal has to offer without Pierre and the Surfcamp, which is a big claim but I’m going to stand by it. Pierre is dialed in to the swell reports, but it’s his knowledge of local spots that allows him to make decisions that you or I wouldn’t be able to just by looking at Magic Seaweed (or Surfline ;) Camp: I had such a fun time, the cozy set up allows you to meet everyone, but easy to go back to the dorms to chill alone. Camp dinners and breakfast- Food is amazing and abundant. Community style Surf: Surfing on the island is a great option and the most accessible. That said, Pierre and the surf guides make decisions based on the conditions and guide trips to 1-4 different spots that could be working better or more suited for the level of surf of different people. A lot of the Dakar spots are in front of a restaurant. The peaks can get easily crowded, but not if you wake up early and it’s very possible to be surfing alone or with a few other people for most of the time. Pierre also has people out sometimes taking pictures or drone footage. There is a free surf theory class once a week I surfed Nov1-18 and did not need even a short wetsuit I think it’s easy to get skunked in Senegal if you don’t know where you’re going because there are Sooo many surf spots. **We had a week of massive swell and Pierre just made the right decisions and I had magical surfs all over Dakar and Senegal. ** Location: steps, literally from the right and a 5 minute walk to the left. The camp is close to a calm little swimming beach and a livelier beach with restaurants. Easy to get to and from Dakar, the boat takes about 5 min +whatever time you have to wait for them (I never had to wait long but some people did) and if you take a surf trip with the camp they always call so you don’t wait. Practical stuff: Ngor gets their water from Dakar. There may be island wide shortages on busy weekends but it’s never really for more than a few hours and I didn’t feel affected. Hot water!! Free potable water Kind, super helpful staff Wifi is good but not during dinner or breakfast because it gets overwhelmed by people. Dorms: Open, very clean, my only reservation is that every bed doesn’t have its own fan, so my first week (november 1) was pretty hot but I could already feel the island starting to cool down as the surf season started I’ve never stayed at a surf camp, always do my own thing but staying here helped me make the most of my surf trip and I had a stellar time. Thank you!!

We spent over 3 weeks in the surfcamp during November. The host and his team of guides are not only very skilled in their surf forecast interpretation on where to surf best, but are also very nice people! We spend 3 weeks full of surfing, eating good food und chilling with awesome people. We‘ll be back for sure!

As every place you visit it is always about the people and in case of Ngor Surf Camp it starts with Pierre who has surrounded himself with a team that beams care and kindness at the heart. No need to worry about transfers, accommodation, food; all of this is excellent by default. It's in the 12 hour day where you kick it with a breakfast altogether and from there Walter will breeze with you through your wave pick of the day, Claire is around to hop you onto the next safari and Stella making sure you're swamped in TLC. Whatever has been your day you'll end it every evening with the most amazing home cooked meal with a big bunch of friends. Looking forward coming back before everything becomes a distant memory as it has been one of my top rides!

I had such a lovely time staying at the hostel and will definitely recommend it to my friends! I stayed for a week in the summer, the manager Claire is super lovely and helped wherever possible. I'm a beginner so the waves on the island were a bit too challenging, but the hostel made sure some other guests and I got transfers to and from the easier surfing spots with sand grounds (Virage and Yoff).

Pierre and the surf camp were incredibly helpful and responsive in all aspects of my stay - from the logistics of arriving, scoring waves, and everything else in between. They have everything you need to have the trip of a lifetime. Truly something I will always remember. Can't wait to come back!

Admittedly, I am an anxious person/traveler, so the idea of traveling to a surf camp in Dakar--despite not knowing how to surf and having a general disdain for camping--certainly pushed the boundaries of my comfort zone, but my experience at the NGor Island Surf Camp was an all-around amazing experience that I would highly recommend. They provide private airport transfers to help get you settled into your island stay, the breakfast was filling and always provided an opportunity to check in with fellow surfers/campers about what they planned to do for the day, the dinners were delicious and healthy, and the staff and campers added to the overall welcoming environment. Also, Pierre does a great job of lining up activities beyond just surf trips, such as safaris and zip-lining excursions in case you feel like taking a break from the ocean for a day. All in all, this is an affordable stay with great people and well worth your time if you enjoy surfing.

  • 5/5 Clem H. 2 years ago on Google
Really great time at Ngor Surfcamp, Pierre was really trying to do the best for all of us staying there to fully enjoy the island and the waves, getting us to the best spots around Dakar with different trips during the day according to the swell and our surf level (and our will to get up early in the morning) and proposing fun activities when the swell was a bit off. Great plus is the surf gear available you can rent everyday (especially nice shortboards for intermediate level). 5/5 would recommend (beware of the sea urchins !!)

Well organized surf camp. As they watch the conditions, they take you to the best breaks all around Dakar. The local instructors are very good and professional. Staying on the island is wonderfully peaceful and quiet and the sunsets are beautiful. We stayed over Christmas and could feel the amount of thought put into creating a festive program and feast - it was a very special time to be there. The meals are tasty and the camp is cleaned every day. I appreciated being able to pay via SEPA. Thank you, Pierre for being an excellent host.

Definitvely the best place to enjoy/explore the surf! Pierre is managing the place with so much heart. Super friendly and helpful staff, great food and, most of all, fantastic surf/surf-guiding. It's so nice and relaxed on the island. I really hope to come back!

A great camp location with very experienced and kind staff, trip possibilities and a huge selection of rental surfboards. Best breakfast I’ve had in a long time. Nice rooms and dorms, safe, overlooking Ngor bay and the Dakar waterfront on the other side. Ngor Right is only a one minute walk!

Had an amazing experience here, made possible by the super friendly staff, thanks Pierre and all the others. For me it was my first time travelling out of Europe, so I didn't really know what to expect. But the people here helped me a lot in getting settled in. On top of that the surf trips are great, and the dinner, which is prepared by local chefs every evening, is absolutely fantastic and always more than enough! Definitely recommend this place to anyone interested in surfing Africa!

Had a great time at Ngor Island Surf Camp. Scored some really good waves at Ngor Rights, Ngor Lefts & Club Med. The camp is fantastic, and a great place for a solo traveller as it is very social with communal meals and you will make friends instantly. The food is plentiful at every meal and the camp is tidy and good value. There's also yoga on the rooftop, surf video analysis and surf coaching. The staff are super friendly and welcoming and I would definitely recommend for a surf trip. 5 stars!!

“A brief review of my stay from mid December 2021. 3 nights was not enough on this Island, where time seems to stand still. Arriving at 1am, there were no issues getting on a water taxi to the Island, being greeted by a member of the hostel and shown to the dorm. The space is simple, but clean and tidy, all you need for a surf trip in my opinion. At first light, with only 5-6 hours sleep I was on the hunt for a coffee and surf check. The assistant-manager of the hostel was already up and visibly frothing for the swell. He took me on a quick surf check to Ngor lefts and after a quick glance gave the nod that meant we were in there. Once the coffee had kicked in the adrenalin of my first surf took over. I was out with Elliot sharing waves. Elliot was an excellent guide/host. He was often the first in the water, bringing pleasant vibes to the surf camp whilst also having time to talk guest through the conditions for the day or any arrangements for their stay. After the first surf, we had a breakfast of fruit, toast, pancakes and eggs. Replenished and ready for more, the right started to turn on and that was that. We had a full afternoon of surf on the right with only the Surf Camp guests for company. Hollering and hooting each other into waves until dusk closed the day off, I knew I’d found a pretty special place, I felt like I’d been there all week and didn’t want to leave. The evening was spent sharing stories of the day, best waves, heaviest wipe-outs and putting together a plan to surf as much again the next day. Two days later, a lot more of the above, I was on my way off the Island with only great stories and memories. Thanks Elliot/Kolin/Anna for your hospitality. I’m sure I’ll be back one day!”

We had such a great time on Ngor Island. The food was good, the vibes were great and the beds were really nice! Elliot took us out on a lot of dawn patrols which meant sharing the waves with only a few out. Superb! Although it was windy now and then, the crew always had a program planned to enjoy optimal surfing conditions. We wanted to go to the south of Senegal and the staff helped us out a lot. Thanks guys!

This surf holiday was beyond expectations. Pierre, the rest of the staff and the surf instructors were amazing. Every day is very well organised, we even went on a day trip to the South which was amazing. Pierre and the rest of the staff really think about which surfspots work best for different levels. But most of all we had a lot of fun with all the people in the camp and met amazing and inspiring people. The Island where the camp is located is very chill and it definitely gives a unique experience traveling by boat everyday to the mainland. We stayed for 10 days, but it felt way longer as it felt like home. We've been homesick to Ngor Surfcamp ever since we came back. xx Julia & Zoe Michelle

I spent an incredibly nourishing 6 weeks at the surf camp, remote working, surfing, centering. I will return. I couldn't recommend it higher. The island is unique, a short boat ride (swim and/or SUP trip) to the dynamic and artistic capital, yet you live in the peaceful quiet of a traditional village without cars or roads, surrounded by the Atlantic ocean on the western-most tip of the continent, with an excellent left and right reef/point on your doorstep. The camp is at once elegant, simple, off-grid. The staff are wonderful, kind, attentive, human. Shared dinners are beautiful moments to reflect on the day, and connect with Pierre and the enchanting characters attracted to this special place. You're invited to be yourself, to opt in and out of surfing and cultural activities throughout the days, to be incredibly social or to disappear into your work or private meditation on the roof terrace. Rita and Tinquiète, the camp pups, are wonderfully excitable running partners and SUP companions. The back side of the island, on swimming and paddle-boarding trips, can be filled with sea turtles. The sunsets and sunrises, both visible from the roof, are unforgettable. Enjoy.

Amazing experience all around! The staff, from cooks to surf guides, manager to owner, are truly exceptional—friendly, skilled, and dedicated to ensuring a fantastic stay. The location on Ngor Island with its laid back vibe and excellent waves at walking distance is superb. Boat trips to empty spots were a highlight. The camp was also the ideal starting point for our travels in the region. Highly recommend!

So good we had to return the following year! There's a few options on how to do a surf holiday in Senegal- Staying here is the only one you should care about. From its location to the great waves on its doorstep, to the company's genuine desire and eagerness to find the best surf on the day. If it's worth looking, these guys will do it. The nature of the beast means exploring doesn't always mean scoring. But I'll be damned if you came back that day saying you didn't have a great time doing so. Pierre, Pedro, Abu, Samuel, Djib and any other member of staff are just as (if not more...) motivated than you to make sure you get the most of the day. Having spent time working for companies that provide similar experiences, I know what it takes to make a great day for guests, but to do it day in day out and make it seem effortless says a lot on the wonderful team they have here. Management had even made a few changes to the camp since our visit the previous year to make the camp run even more comfortably and efficiently, which is fantastic. The food is delicious, the housekeeping is top notch. Just book.....

Paradise for surfers The location is ideal, you can walk around Ngor Island and the surf sport of Ngor Right is literally 30 seconds from the camp. Pierre-Louis, Pedro and the team will make you feel at home as soon as you walked in. Everyone is really friendly and always ready to help you from giving you food recommandations on the island to helping you organize a safari on a flat day. I really appreciated the surf program made daily according to the swell and levels: everything is made so you can surf as much as you want during the day but the schedule remains flexible if you only want to do one surf session. They really take your opinion in consideration. The surf guides know well the spots and are always happy to give you recommendations. They also have a wide variety of boards for rental. I also need to mention the food! Everything is homemade and delicious. Staying there two weeks I have never had the same dinner. Special mention to the banana pancakes at breakfast. I would definitely be back soon and can only highly recommend you this place :)

Joined Ngor Island Surf Camp's first international surf trip and had a great time! Pierre did a good job of organising the trip and we scored fun uncrowded waves with new friends. Thank you!

This hostel is definitely recommendable. It's very well-structured, allowing guests to avoid any hassle as everything is perfectly organized daily. With a great sense of community and an ideal location, it's a no-brainer choice if you're in Dakar. It truly deserves a 5-star rating

Me and a few friends had an awesome week in early December on this paradise. Everything was perfect at NGor Surfcamp! The camp itself, the people, the services, the food and all the their organization. Big thanks to the owner, Pierre Louis and specially to Pedro, the manager, who made all possible for our stay to be fantastic! Regarding the waves we had, fantastic! For sure we will be back!
