Most of the time crowed with buyers and sellers. Can find a great diversity of products at a good price. Goods, clothing, jewellery, electronic devices. There are banks and ATM nearby.

This Market has a lot to offer. While you go through its lanes, admiring products and listening to many vendors trying to convince you to purchase their products, be mindful of your belongings as there are also some "bad eggs". Oh, and have your haggling game on!!!

This place is just awesome. I used to go here often with friends. You always find whatever you need. Humm very great place but something it might be boring because sellers don't let you walk on your pace. They always want to sell you whatever they have in their hands. I mean it still a great place to shop.

Beautiful place, too busy as people, vehicles rush on different transactions, with business shops opens on either sides, restaurant owners, fast foods, take aways doing well in the competitive market. Business hardly delays here. Considering the cosmopolitan and metropolitan nature of the city of Dakar

Great experience with lots of locally produced items. You need to bargain to get a good price though. Vendors will follow you around so be careful and stern.

A great local experience. As a foreigner I felt very welcome. One of the locals who is an Arabic teacher Mohammas showed me around and treated me with the traditional Senegalese mint tea attaya. Still you have to be cautious for pickpockets. At this market, foreigners have little to no risk of facing violent crimes. Defintely try out some if the food stalls and buy a bunch of souvenirs back home. Also DONT FORGET TO HASSLE!

A burnt out building in need of some TLC. There are plans to remodel the market but so far nothing has started. Sandaga and the area around the market are known for pickpockets and hustlers. Be careful with your valuables and don't believe everything you are told by the many"guides" around the market.

if you wanna be lost in the middle of chaos in Dakar, go to sandaga ! remember you can get anything you want by bargaining like a pro. if you don't know where it is, ask for Bant Yi. you can have a king's meal under 1000 xof. enjoy this place while it's still there.
