I have done my ‘baptême’ with Hilda and it has been an amazing experience. She is very patient and makes you feel very comfortable in the water. I definitely recommend her!!

Nautilus is a wonderful dive shop with very friendly staff and owner. They are very patient and kind instructors. I started my advanced diving certificate with Nautilus and will return to Dakar this summer to finish. I very much enjoyed my dives with Nautilus. It was quite fun to meet other divers in Dakar as well, people from many places around the world. I enjoyed my time with Nautilus and can’t wait to return in a couple months!

Fantastic and friendly place to dive in Dakar. Extremely well equipped with a deep knowledge of the region. There were a number of firsts for me - first time in the Atlantic, steel tanks, 6 mm wetsuit with hood, cold waters, very strong currents. It was nerve racking and I’m already a nervous diver. But the dive masters Chris and Barnaby really helped me through it and I became very more comfortable over the two dives I did. I felt safe and enjoyed it at the end. Will certainly return here during my next trip. And hopefully when it is warmer.

Nautilus has made diving my passion. I have dived with them over 130 times in the last four years, having been professionally trained in Nitrox, deep diving, shipwreck diving, rescue diver, dive master and lastly in dry suit training for colder water elsewhere. I will certainly miss the numerous species you can find in the Atlantic Ocean, the close encounters with eerie eels, mysterious sea hares, flamboyant perroquet fish, unique and massive rays, the mighty barracudas and tuna fish, the genius octopus, and even the rare whale or shark. For anyone settling down in Senegal, I will also recommend immersing yourself in the friendly community that you’ll find in Nautilus.

Philippe and Hilda are awesome! They were able to accommodate my needs and I was able to complete my Deep Diver and Enriched Air Diver certifications during my stay in Dakar. Both locations for meeting prior to your dive are easy to locate and accessible. The club has all the gear you will need and the prices are very reasonable! Meeting all the divers and the team at Nautilus made the diving experience all the more better, if you pass through Dakar, Nautilus is the place to go!! Over four years ago, I arrived in Dakar in the midst of COVID. I didn’t know anyone here, and I was feeling the weight of being far from my wife. As someone who has been diving for over 20 years, I naturally looked into the three dive clubs in Dakar. The one that stood out the most was Nautilus, so I sent them a message. What an incredible decision that turned out to be. Within a week, I had made a bunch of friends—some of whom feel more like family now—and I’ve even been on holidays with them. Very professional diving center, the equipment was in an excellent condition, the whole team was very friendly, supportive and patient, fair prices. Overall a great experience, I was lucky to even see a seahorse at one of the dives. I can definately recommend this diving center in Dakar and I am looking forward to dive with the Dakar Nautilus Diving team again the next time I'm in Senegal!

Je cherchais un endroit sportif et plus complexe (comprendre possible courants de surface et/ou profondeur, visibilité variable, présence de vagues, température de l'eau un peu moins tropicale) pour venir passer mon Divemaster. Le Nautilus était le choix idéal rendant chaque plongée aussi instructive que passionnante! Je retiendrai la pédagogie, toujours, d'Hilda et Philippe ainsi que le professionnalisme et l'accueil de toute l'équipe. Bref des plongées uniques dans un esprit de club associatif où se côtoient locaux et voyageurs avant et après la plongée !

During my stay in Senegal I took the Advanced Open Water and Enriched Air Diver course with them as well as a fun dive. The truth is that the experience was unbeatable, both the organization and the management of everything was perfect. But above all, the best thing is the human treatment you receive from all the instructors, both Hilda and Baptiste and Philippe are great people who help you with everything you need and solve all the doubts that may arise about the dives; and if you add that they are great professionals ... it is a perfect diving club! Thank you very much for the experience and everything I learned about diving and Dakar!!!! I hope to come back soon. And for the rest of you, don't hesitate to choose this place as your dive club in Dakar!

It is indisputably the best diving centre in Dakar. Professional crew who is dedicated in diving and you can tell they are all passionate about it. I started my diving experience with them and finished PADI OWD, AOWD, Deep and Nitrox courses. Thanks to awesome instructors I have only enjoyable memories and for sure I will continue diving.. I can tell it is my passion now as well. Thank you Hilda, Philippe, Fred, Loic, Kevin and all the other stuff for memorable diving experience. Hope to see you all soon again!

I had a great experience getting my Open Water Diver certification at Nautilus. All of the staff were very friendly, helpful, and professional, especially Hilda and Osman with whom I did the majority of my dives. The location was great and the facilities were clean (it is based in one of the hotels right on Ngor Beach) and the equipment was well cared for. The staff is also bilingual in English and French. The diving locations in/around Ngor Bay were also mostly superb and full of things to see, although the shallow-water ones used for early training dives were sometimes dirty due to being close to the beach. Highly recommend Nautilus overall for anyone who's looking for a great diving experience in Dakar!
