Reached out via IG to inquire about personal yoga sessions due to the lack of time to attend group classes. The price was much higher, but a personalized service, I was willing to invest in myself for- No Problem! An agreement was established for 10 sessions for 200.000 CFA including transportation. The FULL payment was Requested and sent up front....From the start, I should of known something was SKETCH! About 2-3 classes in, Mominatu sent a long message about how her driver was unable to get her to my home, due to it being rainy season. She stated this has NEVER happened before, an she was so so sorry that she bit off more than she could chew **Fine, whatever** She offered a FULL REFUND for the inconvenience. I accepted her offer and awaited the FULL refund via Orange Money, to use another instructor she recommended. Well, Excuse after Excuse....My refund NEVER came. Message after ignored message...Nothing! So here we are months later, still NOTHING. The worst part about all of this, is after meeting with other women in DAKAR- I was informed Mominatu is a KNOWN SCAMMER, an the same thing has happened to many others! I was beyond disappointed in specifically wanting to support a woman owned black business on the continent! Lesson learned on my end- For the rest of you, YOU HAVE absolutely BEEN WARNED. A police report will be filed and awaiting her return to the land of "Teranga"...An the "Evil Eye" ONLY protects you when YOU DO NOT do people dirty!!! Yall, the AUDACITY!

I had a tremendous yoga session at Momi Yoga. Mominatu is brilliant at what she does and super attentive to her students; more than I've ever experienced in different yoga classes I've taken in and outside of Dakar. The class left me feeling relaxed and refreshed. I know I'm not the only one because I ran into a few folks from the class at a boulangerie right after the session, and they were all raving about it too! Highly, highly recommended!

Nam Myōhō Renge Kyō !!!! What an experience !!!! I find Momi yoga on Instagram when i was traveling by myself in Senegal and it was my breath/ relaxing / Mind-free moment. Mominatu had the same power that the vow "Nam Myōhō Renge Kyō " .It is a pledge to oneself to never yield to difficulties and to win over one’s suffering. During her class and even after, you Feel yourself full of your own Energy, and ready to achieve whatever you want. I really understood what yoga meant, the minute after my first class with Mõmi at Mamelles. I've been practising yoga for 5 years now, with different teachers in different countries but the experience with Mõmi brought me to another level of spirituality, wellbeing and most of all positivity. The connexion you get with her and some others students during the class is special like a halo of power. I can"t wait to continue my journey with her because I know the good vibes it brings to my life 🌈.

Where do I begin. This woman has positively changed my life. In terms of the way I think, self awareness, communicating with my internal being, loving, appreciating and thanking myself for BEING myself. Words cannot express how grateful I am for Mominatu. She’s helped me open up and learn not to despise myself. Learn how to love and be loved. Learn how to forgive. And most importantly learn how to breathe. This is not just regular yoga sessions. This is also spiritual healing sessions. Would recommend Momi yoga to anyone willing to go through the lifelong journey of self love ❤️

We had a wonderful and extremely relaxing experience. When we left our session, we felt replenished and ready to take on our day. You can tell that Mōmi is passionate about the practice of yoga and is truly incredible at sharing it with us. The class being by the ocean really helped in further unwinding us. Momi’s classes are an experience. I’ve practiced all over the world and as a busy entrepreneur I find yoga to be so difficult because many teachers move so slow and don’t engage me. Not Momi. She’s enthusiastic, empathetic and extremely in tune with her students. She has a way of knowing exactly what you need. From the music to the traditional yoga movements. There’s no one better in Senegal, and arguably in Africa.

I’ve been practicing yoga for a while, and what I love about Momi Yoga is the vibe. I can’t get that vibe anywhere else. It’s fun and upbeat, you get your sweat on, but at the same time it’s relaxing and rejuvenating. I love going with my girlfriends and we always look forward to Saturdays sessions at the beach!
