Very beautiful islands with a magnificent beach The only problem is the price of the crossing which is 5000 FCFA per person, quite expensive for me. But it's a good place for an outing with family and friends. 🏊🚣👍👍👍

I came here in April, and it wasn't really something to see. Maybe you'll have a better experience if you go some other time of the year when the vegetation isn't all dry. I'd recommend going to Ile de Ngor instead!

Like another world! After a lot of effort organizing a guide for us from the hotel, we drove to the harbor near the fish market where we were taken to the island by traditional boat. After waiting for our island guide for some time, taking lots of pictures and asking, the tour of the small island began. In addition to many birds, insects and many plants, there are breathtaking rock formations that looked like a Minecraft world. We wanted to go to the island because it is officially considered the smallest nature reserve in the world, and because there was a wreck in the water. However, we learned that this was removed by the state in December 2017. Anyway, I can recommend everyone to visit this quiet place, far away from civilization, for a day in nature. You have to take a lot of time and bring your own food and water with you because the organization and food on the island is extremely poor! Despite everything, a very beautiful and mysterious place, therefore my personal insider tip for Senegal/Dakar! c: Jonathan L. 2018

A must, the prices are a little too high for a family with children.

Wonderful and quiet virgin island near Dakar. The price is a little bit expensive (5000 per person) but good to counter mass tourism and preserve the nature. A must see for lovers of merveilles of nature.

Madeleine Island. In 10 years of living in Dakar, I had never visited it. Protected island with no real human presence apart from the visitors who are there from time to time. Ideal for being soothed, relieving grief and recharging the batteries, the calm is "mystical" 😎😎. Birds and other animals reign supreme there. A must visit, I would rank it above Goree. Cleanliness is essential, very little human waste

(Translated by Google) Perfect place for romantics. Very calm, all noise pollution is forbidden to visitors so as not to disturb the rest of the birds and the atmosphere of the ecosystem. Paradise place for picnics with rotations from the Quai de Soumbedioune (Original) Endroit idéal pour les romantiques.

(Translated by Google) The island to connect to nature, the water is pollution-free. Bring your snorkels, snacks and drinks but remember to pick up and keep clean. (Original) L'ile pour se connecter à la nature, l'eau y est sans pollution. Apportez vos tubas, casse croûte et boissons mais n'oubliez pas de ramasser et de tenir propre.
