It is the Dakar branch of a French 'artisinal' bakery. The baguettes are very good and come in a wide variety. The sweets are also nice but rather overpriced (even compared to France!!!). Coffee is also served, as well as hamburger and a variety of Sandwiches. There are a plenty of staff there, but how well they attend to you seems to be a matter of luck.

I love the customer service here, also the pastries are appealing but the food… not so much

Great and fast service despite being overcrowded on a Sunday morning. I liked their brunch. It’s a great place to meet with friends or colleagues or even business partners. Would highly recommend.

As a tourist, this appears to be the most popular cafe in the city. It’s almost as if one has transported to France. Amazing pastry variety. Decent menu. Very clean and good atmosphere. Pleasant and efficient staff. I expected the prices to be much higher than they actually were. Definitely check it out for an upper-class experience.

Quite good, in the sense of, for a top European modern style bakery. Expect the kind of stuff, presentation and quality you would get in a nice European bakery, turn the quality down just a little bit, and remember that it is a feat to achieve this here and be happy about it, these guys are champions and are achieving extraordinary quality all things taken in account, then raise the prices a bit. European prices but you're in Dakar, but well, you are enjoying a European dish, sandwich, sweet, salad or fries in an African athmosphere. Kind of. How delightful.

The waiters are fast to notice you , spontaneous and nice. It's sure not cheap but the experience is 100% worth the price. The place is warm and lovely as well, the food is great and the average waiting time is really okay, I'd even say fast. Definitely recommend it, specially for a chill breakfast or brunch

There is quite many cafés in Dakar. But Eric Kayser has always kept their standards and quality. Tasty menu. Prices are little on higher side.

The breakfast menu is excellent, they have also very good patisseries, and the triple chocolate is a must-try. I also love their bread with olives. A nice spot to chill and work. Very crowded on week-ends.

Eric Kayser has good food and great bread, pastries, and desserts. It can tend to be quite busy and a little loud inside, but it has a great overall feel and environment.

A branch of the famous French bakery chain. One of the decent options in downtown. Make sure you have Google translate with you if you dont speak French since the staff does not speak any English. The pastries are very delicious. Price wise it is expensive but it is worth. For expats and foreigners, this place became a hotspot so probably when you go there, more than half will be foreigners. For me the only problem is that seating is so uncomfortable and tables are very unorganized. You dont really feel comfortable sitting here. Everyone is just crammed in a small seating area.

😠 Horrible service and not so good food. Waitresses are lazy and rude, and meat served is not always fresh. Quality of restaurant has dropped with new ownership as current owner focuses more on decor and marketing. Only good thing about this restaurant is the location.

😠 I came in, ordered a coffee and a brioche. I'm not Senegalese; I'm a foreign visitor, and last I retrieved money from the bank, I could only get round numbers, no change. I didn't have 1,100 CFAs, only 1,500, so when I ordered, they told me they would have to send someone to get change. This was fin...
