Final update (see last paragraph for original posting): Just picked this ring back up along with its matching wedding band! As per their recommendation I brought the set in the be welded! Turned out lovely and I’m so happy! The staff was so sweet and had some more interesting stories to tell! You don’t find the kind of sincerity they offer very often anymore these days and it’s always a treat going in. So glad my now husband found and chose them for our rings! We’ll d efinitely be returning for future projects! Added new pictures of the final set!!! Original/First Visit: Visited today with my fiancée to pick out an engagement ring and wedding band. We went in not knowing anything about the in and outs of picking a diamond/band, however, when we left we were much more comfortable with the knowledge they provided us. Jenna was wonderful and very educational. She went above and beyond to help us choose the best fit for us within our budget. Her husband was also helped add the cherry on top with the perfect setting arrangement! The process for the mens band was a lot shorter but still educational! Can’t wait for the rings to come in after their sizing. Updating my review to include the photos! I was surprised that it was ready so quickly.

Lucinda and Jenna are amazing customer service advocates. I had several items that they complementary cleaned. They found stones loose in my diamond hoop earrings. I was so grateful as the stones would have gone missing if it weren't for the examination with the jewelers loop. They are the only if not one of the only jewelers that have an on site benchman 30+ years in the business here in Irving. They do design custom work also. The will buy your old gold too. It's the only jeweler I trust with my fine jewelry. Thank you for your caring attitude.

My husband gave me a black pearl engagement ring with a sweet story about how at the age of eight or nine, he acquired the pearl on an outing to the Japanese Cultural Gardens in San Francisco. His grandmother had the pearl set in a white gold setting and gave it to his mom for safe keeping until he was ready to propose. After several years of wear, the pearl began to shed its outer layer. I took my mother's wedding set, a beautiful sapphire and diamond ring from my husband, and a new black pearl we got a few years ago at a pearl store when opening an oyster to Lucinda at Gold n Carats and asked if they could make me a new ring using the diamonds and pearl. The result was stunning and more than I could have hoped for! They knew my style and my love for unusual coupled with traditional. They took care of me and gave me back beautiful memories and hope for a bright future, all wrapped in loving care for me and my husband of 43 years! Thank you isn't enough. Although I’m not one to leave reviews just because….. However, during my inaugural visit to this jewelry store, which involved two items – one to remove a few links from the gift that my wife and son gave me and another with significant sentimental value – I encountered a delightful surprise. From the moment I stepped inside, it was evident that this establishment prioritizes a warm, family-oriented atmosphere. The staff attended to me promptly, and their exceptional service truly made my experience pleasant. The reason for bringing it in was that I’d previously taken the sentimental item to a mall jewelry repair shop. Significantly later, when the battery was draining, I noticed it had an issue; it would change the date around 8 or 9 pm, which was quite odd. So, that is when I searched for a repair shop near me. When I shared the story with the staff at this store, they also found it extremely odd as well but indicated they would look at it. While in the store my eyes latched on to newer elegant Citizens watch but similar to another one I had from many years ago, as I mentioned that the item was not working either, she suggested I bring it in. Since it was during the weekend and lived in the area, I went back to collect both the additional item that was also in need of repair. The convenience and thorough service further solidified my positive impression of this store. What truly stood out was their proactive approach. Upon noticing that one of the items I dropped off had not been charging, they quickly sent me a text message with the necessary information. When I arrived, they provided me with the next steps I could take and an estimated timeline for when the items would be returned since it had to be sent off to the manufacture! Several days passed and when I returned to collect the other repaired item, I found that the staff’s willingness to engage in open and stimulating conversation, covering a wide range of topics, added a personal and memorable touch to the experience. The fact was they were not scared to open up a conversation, but again, I was not either. In the end, it’s not often you have the chance to connect with the leadership of a business in such an inviting and enriching manner, combined with their attention to detail and exceptional customer care. My visit to this jewelry store exceeded all expectations, leaving me with a lasting impression of their professionalism and dedication.

Excellent craftsmanship and service. Jenna went above and beyond to make my custom ring into a reality. She had the cad drawing drafted up in 2 weeks and turn around time to getting the ring made was super quick. It is exactly what I envisioned with great communication throughout the process. Pricing was reasonable. Highly recommend Gold & Carats!

This is a wonderful, family-owned store! They have beautiful jewelry here and they are also a great place to sell pieces you no longer need/want. If you have a lot, be sure to make an appointment because they review each piece thoroughly and honestly. They made everything so fun and meaningful!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Gold N’ Carats. Years ago they made my Mom’s wedding ring, then they made wedding rings for my wife and I. Recently, I lost my best friend. I received some of his ashes and a lock of his Dad’s hair from his family because he and I were so close for over 20 years. I designed a ring (see pic below) to hold some of his ashes and a few strands of his Dad’s hair. Jenna was so wonderful, and she worked with me not only to bring my design to life, but to make sure that the Texas pendant was small enough to be aesthetically pleasing, but also big enough to hold the hair and ashes. My friend would be proud, and I am so grateful to Jenna, Lucinda, and Jim for making this happen in his honor. For future customers: you can trust that family jewelry, heirlooms, and special projects will be treated respectfully, and family diamonds will not be switched with other diamonds “of equal value” as is so common with many jewelers (if you Gold N Carats a family Diamond, you will get that family Diamond back!). Highly recommended, they will have my loyalty as a customer forever!

I came here to have my ring resized. From the moment I walked in, everyone was welcoming and assisted me with what I needed right away. They made sure to accommodate me with everything I needed done.
