I was treated with total disrespect when paying for my wife's exams today. The receptionist recognised I was misquoted, but would refuse to let me pay the value I was informed when booking. I asked to talk to the manager, but she said they were fully booked for the morning. She treated me in a very rude way, despite my respectful attitude. I asked her name, so I could file a formal complaint, but she said it was "none of my business". I was coerced to pay an incorrect amount so I could get the exam results and the onus to fix the issue is now on me.

Would it really be that difficult for the female Asian receptionist at Capital to just show a little friendliness, courtesy or even polite professionalism to an elderly customer this morning?? (21.7.23) Would even a smile be asking too much from her? Honestly, some people are not cut our for customer service front-line positions.

If I could give this place no stars I would. On the 23/11/23 a girl in her late twenties maybe early thirties asian woman, denied me to get an OPG done at 4:40 even though they close at 5:00. I travelled all the way from Armadale to get there, her manner was so rude she made me a 15 year old girl cry. I will never return here again. Don’t come here terrible service. I am devastated and not happy.

I was nervous attending this clinic after reading some of the reviews. However, I am pleased to say I had a very good experience having an X-ray done. Yes, you have to take a ticket, but my number was called almost before I sat down. Spoke to Reception, answered some questions and then less than 10 minutes later I was called in for my X-ray. Sienna (the Radiographer) was delightful. She explained everything that was happening through the number of X-rays taken. More than once she apologised for being called away very briefly because they were understaffed that day. Sienna was very personable, despite being very busy. In summary, easy to find clinic, bulk billed X-rays, pleasant staff and in/out in less than 30 minutes. Happy customer, thank you!

I just had an ultrasound appointment this morning with an Asian male Radiographer and he was extremely unprofessional!! He kept asking me personal questions that had nothing to do with my scan and even went as far to suggest I freeze my eggs before quickly stating he shouldn’t have said that as he isn’t a qualified Gyno to give reproductive advice like that. He also made me so uncomfortable for not having private health insurance and just kept falsely diagnosing me on the spot and scared me into thinking I was critically ill. I won’t be returning to this clinic again!!

Several months ago I went for a pelvic ultrasound with a male sonographer P Lac. I then had a few other scans with other sonographers. The scan from P Lac was the most thorough and the only one who noticed possible adhesions on one side. Thanks to this, I pushed for further investigation and with a laparoscopy the adhesions were confirmed and removed. Thank you P Lac, the 5 stars are for you! The scan I had in this same clinic with a blonde female sonographer was very basic. She just wrote “all normal”, obviously taking a quarter of the time that P Lac took for a very superficial ultrasound. I will make sure I never book with her in future.

I returned to this centre yesterday for a CT-guided lumbar epidural injection. I was a little nervous but was kindly attended to by radiographer Shona and Dr Nick who took great care of me during the procedure. Shona then led me to a room where I had to lay on my back for one hour before leaving. Staff dropped in regularly to make sure that I was OK which I appreciated. I then went to the reception counter to pay for the procedure and was assisted by Mary who was wonderful. She was very patient while I located and provided my treating GP and local specialist's details in order to inform them of the results. Having been to many radiology centres over the years, this if by far the most professional and friendly from the front reception team to the radiographers. Many thanks :)

Firstly, do not get an MRI here. Mine was not conducted correctly, and I had to waste my money undergoing a second MRI at a different place, halting my diagnosis for another month. My GP actually told me Capital Radiology is notorious for this. Sorry, what? Secondly, I believe there must be a pre-requisite that you have to be insanely rude to be hired here. I was 5 minutes late to a different appointment due to torrential rain. Waited 10 minutes to be called up and was told by the receptionist that I was 15 minutes late. I kindly told her I apologise for being 5 minutes late, but I was not 15 minutes late, I have been waiting here for 10 minutes. Receptionist rudely responded “well I just saw you walk in”. I really do not understand the need to lie to me like that. When the nurse called me up for my exam, she rolled her eyes and also rudely told me I was extremely late. I bursted into tears and the nurse got extremely frustrated and said she wouldn’t do my exam in this state if I didn’t stop crying. I told her through tears that I am in an extreme amount of pain, I was only 5 minutes late, and we are all human. When you are a patient coming to Capital Radiology, you are most likely in pain, and are anxiously awaiting a diagnosis for a health issue that is causing you grief. Compassion or even just basic friendliness really goes a long way. After seeing countless horrible reviews about staff here, I know I am not alone in this. It’s a shame the management of this place does not seem to care enough to fix this ongoing problem of staff treating patients so rudely. This is obvious since these reviews go back YEARS. Please, just save your sanity and do not waste your time here.

Had a very good experience with the reception and the nurse Katya. She’s so gentle with the patients. Highly recommended the this place!

I went to have on the 19 of October but when I arrived then girl at reception said it was the 15 th I was booked in for she Was nice and said I will try to book you in to day please take a seat Not even 5 minutes a lovely girl took me through and all finished Ina short time I am sure she said her name was Maria She was very kind a very professional thank you Then I went back to to the reception and said to the girl Who was Mary you are so smart and polite and also professional In your job as dealing with some of the staff who said I could Not have the test there as I had to remember we’re I had the first well done to the girls the look after me regards Anne 😎
