A quaint modern rustic wine lounge... The simple menu the perfectly compliments the plethora of wine choices. This spot is great for meet-ups with friends, date night, and to be entertained by talented locals. An adult atmosphere, ages on this night appeared to range from mid 20s to mid 40s, & street parking. FYI: I really enjoyed their hummus.

Very unique and eclectic atmosphere with the friendliest people running it. I can't get enough of their local wines, and their Wine Smackdown events are the most fun you've ever had at a wine tasting. Live music on Saturdays, Ska fests, and Two Wheel Tuesday (specials for those who ride in on 2 wheels.)

The wine and magic show is awesome. It's very entertaining for adults and makes for a great date night or friends night out. The staff are very friendly and the food is good.

Local wines and beers. Friendly staff, and a very cool vibe inside. Great location on Lamar. They are more than just rebranded wine... They are an actual winery, sourcing all of their grapes locally in Texas. Don't miss out on the Walnut & Cream Cheese, Cheddar & Basil Spread. It is amazing.

I came here for a painting class and I thoroughly enjoyed myself! I had their own sangiovese and it was a medium-bodied wine, savory but also fruit forward. Pair with a nicely put together cheese and charcuterie board and we're in business! Will try to go back! And although it's near-ish to downtown, there's plenty of free parking so don't worry about the possibility of driving up and down the streets for a spot and walking back 3 blocks. Good find!

Spacious, good ambiance and service. The house Tempranillo was excellent. Also tried the Viognier and the Albariño. Personally, like the Albariño better than the Viognier. That red pepper hummus though 👌🏽 Paired with small plates, great place to hang out.

My boyfriend & I attended Paint Nite by Yaymaker event taught by Jessie who is an excellent teacher. We had a cheese plate, wine & frozen wine concoction.

Such an awesome hidden gem! Checkered Past Winery has an amazing live music night that I had the pleasure of checking out on Saturday night with some girlfriends. And wow, the atmosphere is just super chill and laid back. I got there at about 9PM and most of the tables were full and the music was jammin! There was a three piece band playing jazz. I decided to share a bottle of wine with some friends as well as check out their wine flights. They have several available, so I got their in house wine flight, which had four of the Checkered Past wines. All of them were delicious, especially the tempranillo. I love that the music night was free to go to with no drink minimum and the staff were nice and attentive. I definitely want to come back here!
