I walked in at 11 AM ordered a bison burger, med rare with onion and pickle, onion rings and a drink, to go. The lady at the counter politely told me that pickles were behind me, I said noted. She also said we serve our burgers .....?, I thought she said med rare. I agreed. I got my order and left. It was well done also had tomato and lettuce on it. My onion rings were good! The pickles from the pickle bar were good! I could NOT eat the burger, I tried. :( Once I realized the mistake I called into the store and stated what was wrong and the lady on the phone was polite and said "yes, I took your order." It was not til she was off the phone w/ me and talking to the mgr Mike and didn't have me on hold did she have a smart tone and told him I did not order my burger the way I said above. OOOPPS Put the customer on hold! Okay, so Mike explained to me and let me explain it to the rest of the world so we ALL are on the same page.... Their burgers come with lettuce, tomato and onion- on it. If the order is to go, those 3 will be on it; if the order is for in house, those 3 will be on the side. Now If you would NOT like your burger to have all 3, you HAVE to say I DO NOT want .....- You are NOT allowed nor will it be understood that "I would like Pickle and onion only!" means you do NOT want the lettuce or tomato. Mike and I went around a good 4 to 5 times before I had to stop the conversation and specifically ask him "why are we disagreeing about this, Can I please get a refund?" I as the customer in no way should I have had to take control of this conversation from the mgr, who did not know how to manage even his self much less his staff. This was my first time back since the re-opening. :( I got my refund in the end.

It was my first time and definitely not my last! Everything was absolutely superb! From the Classic burger, to the onion rings, to the fries and finally the S’mores shake! Big shout out to our awesome server Cali, who was kind, courteous and patient as I asked a hundred questions for a first timer. His service was on point, thank you sir!

Hands down, the best burger I’ve had in a very long time. The patty itself was flavorful and cooked at the temperature I requested. The bacon tasted fresh and was perfectly crispy. Not to mention - they offer gluten free buns! I also got the watermelon iced tea which was refreshing and sweet. I’ll be thinking of this burger for a while 🤤

It has been so long since I had a good burger 🍔 Probably the best burger I've had in DFW so far. They look absolutely tasty. The meat is medium rare, so moist and juicy. The portion is huge, I was super full after finishing the whole meal. On the other hand, the fries were not as good as I expected. They were not crunchy at all. They were really soft and soggy. They were too salty as well. Parkings at these area are hard to find. Unless you want to park in paid parking lot nearby.

This is the place to enjoy a solid burger, plus a festival of whimsical takes on celebrities, including you as one of them. I was Yoda during my visit and I couldn't have been more pleased. Of course I had to try the millionaire burger, a literal pile of tasty components from a fresh, light bun on down. Don't expect to be able to hold on to the burger with it, unless you finish the side order of onion rings drizzled in truffle aoilo that form a tower on top. I was foolish to order a side of fries too (but really not because they were quite good), especially when there were barrels of pickle slices of 6 different flavors free for the taking. Such is the pile-up of experiences with this burger which goes on to include many of the best burger toppers, cheese, bacon, mushrooms, with a but-wait-there's-more type experience. It's only for the hungry and not for the digestionally-challenged but worth the approximately 50,000 I could buy with a million bucks. It might be one of the few great sharing burgers for a couple. Go off prime hours here and enjoy the relaxed, casual, comfortable vibe.

We chose to walk from Baylor Hospital which was only 16 minutes and there is plenty to see along the way. Honestly I'm glad we were walking because the parking can be a bit of a pain to get into and it's ALL pay parking. The restaurant itself has a really good vibe with the music and the decor. The staff was all friendly and helpful. They have some really unique burger choices along with the standard burgers you would expect. The burgers took a reasonable amount of time to prepare and were very tasty. This is the 4th Twisted Root location that I've been to and they're all really good but this one based on location is maybe my favorite.

Ordered tonight and it was horrible! I've been about two years ago and it was amazing but that wasn't the case today. The bread on my 3 kids burgers were so stale and crumbled as they tried to eat them. I hated to even serve it to them it looked so bad. The meat was hard, overcooked and dry on all 5 burgers. I know we're in a pandemic, but just shutdown if you can't serve the quality people pay for. Very disappointing visit- waste of $70. 2 stars only for the onion rings- they were good.

🍔 Legit the best burger I’ve had this year! 🍔 100% worth the extra few dollars for the angus patty. The root beer float is dope too!

Got the Millionaire burger and my friend got the All American. Both were very tasty and priced pretty fairly. The only thing is I think the burgers should automatically come with a side of fries for the price but that's not a big deal. Fun atmosphere that is themed on pop culture.

Created by 3 chef's, Twisted root burger company is an amazing place for a chefy burger. They often have several other meat choices. Today they had wyagu, bison and venison in addition to beef. They have unique burgers, check out the menu to see what I mean. They make everything fresh and in house including pickles, hand cut fries, hand battered onion rings. Even the sodas are made in house. The portion size is generous and the quality is top notch. So even though it's not a cheap place to eat, you don't feel cheated. I don't go often because it's a 25 minute drive but I always enjoy myself when I do. If you are a burger fan, you owe it to yourself to try Twisted root.

One of the best restaurants I've been to. Very good looking restaurant, famous actors fake civil war portraits and the order name is someone famous. Chuck Norris themed bathroom and I think probably a Bigfoot themed bathroom for the other one. The food was great, good burger, I like the self-serve pickles, had any root beer flavor you could think of or any classic soda. The only critique I have is that the fries were way too salty and probably the option of being able to put on extra salt by yourself would be a good solution. Sadly they were out of ice cream for the root beer float, but I'm sure it would've tasted phenomenal with all the root beer flavors. Also, the service was good with employees offering to take our finished plates from the table, despite the saying on the wall that said something like"This isn't your mama's house, clean up after yourself" LoL. Overall it was one of my best experiences with a restaurant in my entire life so far. Wish there was one in Delaware, would probably end up going every week.

I've been to Twisted Root several times and they never disappoint. A couple of friends and I ventured out for lunch. I love their self service pickles served in barrels. They had a variety of flavors from ranch, sweet and spicy, bread and butter, dill, and atomic. The atomic ones were my favorite. I had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. The chicken was fried perfectly. The hot level could have been higher, but it was delicious. I had their fried pickles. My buddies had original burgers that they said were delicious with a side of fresh cut fries. They also make their own sodas, and I had their watermelon sweet tea which is always great. They are not the cheapest item around, but worth the price in quality and flavor.

I ordered the western burger and the hot chicken sandwich. Both were good and fresh. I have it four stars because the chicken to bread ratio was a little off. The service was quick and we enjoyed the time.

Best burger joint in deep ellum DFW area. The atmosphere is inviting and the food is delicious. Doesn’t look processed and feels and taste homemade. The fries are supreme. The Texas toast is crispy and buttery. The bacon was made to perfeaction. A bit pricey but for the price you can’t beat it! The drinks are also all real cane sugar! Best combo

One of the best burgers Ive had, however, the place is starting to look a little run down. It was pretty busy so I cant see why they are letting the place look like that. The booth seat we were at is totally ripped, the pictures on wall dusty and crooked, lets not even talk about the restrooms. If your establishment looks dirty, it might make people think your kitchen is as well? Would defintely go but only as take out. Staff and food were very good.

One of the best burgers I have EVER had. Patty was seasoned to perfection, atmosphere was great, and the fries were salty and delicious. I now fully understand the hype!

This place has a really cool hipster feel too it. With it awesome decore it has a great atmosphere. Even the Chuck Norris bathroom is a great 'kick'! I will start with the only 2 things that were not great with this meal. 1 being the steak fries: Don't get me wrong they are decent I'm just not a fan of fries like this. They may have been French cut but they were still to soggy inside for my liking if that makes sense. The other item was the onion rings, which I'm not sure are served as an appetizer or not, but I had some served on top of my burger and the portion size was big enough to be a whole order, but they could have used some more batter and a little more time in the fryer. But still; not too bad. The total game changer was 'The Millionaire' burger. This may have been the best burger I've ever had. So juicy and flavorful. I definitely recommend trying this.

Downtown burger joint. We sat on the ample shaded patio. Service was great. Counter ordering- explained the menu and immediately made a recommendation without me asking. Loved it. Fresh juicy burger. Bacon cheeseburger with substantial bacon big veggies. Probably used 10 napkins. But was fire. Awesome burger.

Hamburgers are easy to come by but a GREAT hamburger 🍔 is way harder to find. We found it at Twisted Root. The food is awesome and the way you order and wait for our food is a fun twist 🪢😄. Definitely stop by if you want a great hamburger and a cool experience.

Burgers are a great size, fries are shareable as well. Overall, good tasting burgers, you won’t be disappointed. Water taste: I give a thumbs up. It’s refreshing and doesn’t have any nasty taste to it. 👏🏼
