I moved to Dallas from New York a few weeks ago and wanted to check out the goth/industrial dance scene. This seemed like the perfect place to go. The space was nice and the music was decent, but I felt very alone. I tried starting conversations and was dodged or ignored each time. Seems like the people who go already have tight cliques. Nicest people were the staff. The dancers really let loose out here, so that's great.

Awesome! The transformation from "lizard lounge" (saturday/friday; mix of younger crowd and music) to "the church" (sundays; younger and older crowd and goth vibe/crowd/music) over night is unbelievable! The place is two story with a DJ playing hard rock, metal and techno. Theres an additional room in the back with a connected patio, where another DJ plays 80s music. I had so much fun. The crowd was great and friendly. It's a breath a fresh air for those that are into the goth style or music. Many were dressed up in costumes or dressed down with their favorite band merch.

It’s a weekly gathering every Sunday for goths, punks, freaks, misfits rockers and industrial types. It’s a bit underground so it’s always the same group and it can get busy on the dance floor but it’s a safe environment for all and the crowd is awesome. DJ Virus is usually at the helm creating mischief and surprise with each mix. I’m not saying but I’m saying since the majority of people are in costumes (encouraged) you just never know who is dancing beside you. It’s a cool place for local and touring bands to go out and have fun and not be hounded. I won’t tell but I’ve met a few there. Valet parking; cover charge varies, drinks are inexpensive, conversation is free, great cold AC when it starts getting hot on the dance floor. See ya there On Friday and Saturday they feature international circuit DJ’s performing live sets till 2am. Some of these shows sell out fast.

The best and super iconic. Nights at the previous place were some of the best in my life. There was so much room for dancing and each dance floor was a different theme and the red room will forever be missed(rip). It’ll do only has one dance floor but it’s still good enough. In the end some Church is better than no Church.

This place is huge for a downtown Dallas club. On average there will be four bar areas open for the patrons. Two large dance floors and plenty of dance floor space and a huge smoke deck with a pretty skyline view. The security guards are fantastic and will drag any major offenders out like a dripping trash bag.

Always have a great time when I go with my BFF! Was there Sunday for their Halloween Costume Contest...it was awesome!

I went for the first time last night. It was by far the best time ive had in years. the staff is nice, the people are easy to talk to, and everyone is kinky as all hell. My one complaint is that we were packed in like sardines, especially on the patio. I will definitely be returning

I went for the first time in October. It was really great. The staff were all so nice and the drinks were not watered down. The atmosphere is so neat and everyone there is just so fun and chill. There was a coat check also, which I really appreciated.

Absolutely LOVE when we go to The Church!! Live the venue itself and the staff is always great to see and chat with. I always feel welcomed and at home here and always wind up meeting someone new.

Needs moving lights even smaller ones. The grid just doesn't give enough variety.

HOLY COW, IT LIVES! RIP the Lizard Lounge with all my heart and soul, long live The Church! Props to It'll Do accommodating Dallas tradition and culture!

The bouncer and door hags are ugly and rude, the bartenders are cool, the music is ok, and the venue sucks. I had the worst experience here just cause the bouncer and door troll made it difficult to enter when I was a regular. Won't be going back I'll just be a regular at the goth club in L.A.

So happy that I found this amazing place again. RIP Lizard Lounge. The Church isn't just another club. This place is a community. A family. This is the place I fell in love with my now husband. Thank you for existing.

They changed the name and format, only been once but it look like it's time to go back!

One of the greatest clubs to exist. A unique atmosphere, fantastic music, and wonderful people. The community that exists in this place is welcoming, and doesn't hesitate to make people feel welcomed and comfortable. The variety of events, DJs, and people watching are some of the best experiences you can get.
