Had this place a year ago, the chicken was to die for. Craved it a whole year in Colorado. Came back to it a few days ago. Words cannot express my disappointment. The legendary chicken tasted old, like it had been cooked in old oil and maybe even cooked twice. I feel betrayed, my soul feels disturbed within. ( It looks decent on the pictures, but trust me when I mean it tasted so old & nasty)

I am in love. Although this place is right in the middle of busy Deep Ellum I consider it a hidden gem. The lowkey vibes, amazing service, and delicious chicken automatically put this place on my list of favs.

Absolutely the best chicken I’ve ever had, right up there with Pecan Lodge and Terry Black for Deep Ellum food! Love this place and the atmosphere so much! If you can only go to one place in Dallas, this needs to be it!

One of the best gluten free food I have ever eaten! Don’t let the location and the low key look of the restaurant fool you! I was so impressed with the flavors and the quality of food that I can’t tell you with words! I highly recommend this place! I am very picky and very selective! I almost walked away from the parking lot. I asked the people walking out from the restaurant about their experience . They were all raving about the food! I was impressed! Go and try it yourself!

Such a great place. I appreciate being able to get high quality food from a bar atmosphere. I tried the Hot Chicken and a couple drinks. The chicken was elite, well seasoned and not dry at all. The drinks and green beans were great too. I also appreciate the welcoming atmosphere. Went inside expecting to place a to-go order, but ended up staying and enjoying a meal with a couple drinks. That's just due to the good vibes I felt once I walked in. Both bartenders working were super cool and friendly, even offering a warm towel after eating to clean my hands (that's a first). They have really cool art on the walls too. All in all, glad this place is in the neighborhood. I'll definitely be there again.

Y’all! This place is a secret gem! The chicken…. mashed potatoes, corn and mac n’ cheese 100% the best and nothing like you have ever had before! Make sure to sit at the bar so you can chat with “Big Sexy”. His knowledge and recommendations are spot on.

Great place for fried chicken. Got the 10 pc bucket between two people, add some like juice + hot sauce and you're good to go 👌and you get a hot towel at the end. 10/10

Crispy, juicy, delicious...seriously good fried chicken with a Mexican gourmet twist. Savory, with sweet undertones, (think mole) this chicken seasoning is an explosion of flavours especially paired with their homemade chicken sauce they provide. Also yummy were the real mashed potatoes with brown gravy and their green beans. Added bonus was the cocktail list. Service too was on point and friendly. Adding to my review a month later as I decided on take out after work picking up around 11:30pm. I have a 15 minute ride home but the chicken was already cold. I'm highly doubtful that it was cooked fresh to order like when I dined in. Very disappointing 😕.

I ordered at 11:44pm and I got my food at 11:48pm.... I should have checked it before I walked to the car though because my chicken was COLD & this was still the BEST CHICKEN SO FAR IN DFW. I also was told I was paying for toast and got light bread in a box but THE BEST CHICKEN IN DFW (I've tried so far) The habanero bacon Mac and cheese was flavorful.. not my favorite.... But the CHICKEN.... even though it had been sitting up for a while and was colder than room temperature was still GOOD. It is probably GREAT hot

Literally our third choice, but not anymore. We tried getting brunch at 2 other places but they had an hour wait, so we ended up at Brick & Bones. The drinks were great, food was impressive and service was quick and great. Don’t let the dem lighting scare you off, once your eyes adjust, it’s pretty cool. Can’t we to go back.

This is BRUNCH!!!! I’m so in love with the menu. Typically this is my spot for a shot in my way to… something else. Yet!! now that they are open for brunch I’m ready to post up for most the day & gorge!!! Bailey is absolutely amazing. Colin is great as well. Either way. Stop & brunch with the best in DE.

Don’t let the location or dim lights deter you….this is the place for good comfort chicken in Deep Ellum. Their bowl is EXCELLENT. Moist breaded chicken breast over mashed potatoes, Mexican corn and covered with gravy. Amazing. Staff is great, food is even better. Pop in for a drink and a quick meal - you won’t be disappointed.

The food, dessert, and drinks are so good we asked to speak with the chef to compliment them!! Now I have to say the waitress was not my favorite especially when she said that the chef didn't speak English. Which made us feel like it wasn't worth bringing him because of this 😕 luckily I speak Spanish! Either way, do not let this discourage you from trying this delicious meal, bring your cell phone for lighting cause it's dark in there 😋 👏🎯

I wasn't really hungry when I went but I really wanted to try their fried chicken. It was very flavorful and definitely seasoned well. I am usually afraid of people mac and cheese because I'm afraid they won't have enough cheese or that it will taste like American cheese but this mac and cheese was really good and the multiple cheeses selected were really good also. Everything had the prefect amount of spicy kick to it. The person at the bar had really great costumer service and told us about a few other places we should check out while we were in town.

Fresh chicken late night nothing better! The BnB bowl was really good, nice mix of fried chicken, mashed potatoes, peppers, cheddar, and corn! I want to come back & try the chicken & waffles.

This is a nice spot for a quick bite and drink. It's a barebones place with a good vibe, and you can expect friendly and prompt to-the-point service. The hot fried chicken drumsticks, though not super hot from the fryer, are still fairly hot. More importantly, they're crispy, tender, juicy, and flavorful with a kick of decent (not overwhelming) spice. Sides like the mac and cheese are pretty tasty too, and complement the chicken. Additionally, the drinks here are strong, which is a big plus. Overall, it's a really nice place to grab a quality drink and food while walking around Deep Ellum during a late night.

This place always pulls through when I want fried chicken. Drinks are tasty, and the staff are awesome. Of note, though, if you get a to-go order, pick it up as fast as possible and start eating it cause the breading on the chicken can get a little soggy. Still tastes good, though!

Holy cow the fried chicken is the BOMB! Super moist, very crispy, and amazing flavor (with a slight sweetness to it). Definitely some of the best fried chicken I've had.

I come here for the experience they have curated and deliver consistently. Great fried chicken and Mac n cheese, a vintage 70’s sound system with an eclectic playlist. The place is super chill, they do what they know, just go with it and you’ll be in good shape. Cheers

Hands down the best cocktail we’ve ever had (Tennessee Tuxedo). Bartenders were awesome and provided us with a list of “must visit” places in Deep Ellum. Food was amazing. Will stop back if we’re ever in the area again.

Easy-going dive bar-like place with great fried chicken. The cilantro/lime on top of the bucket of chicken is not something I've exactly encountered before but it's unique and tastes great. The bar staff was accommodating and generous.
