My children and grandchildren decided on Katy Trail Ice House for a birthday lunch. What a great choice! This was my first visit but definitely not my last. This spot has something for everyone, young and older. Lots of outdoor seating, beer, wine and a good variety of menu items. Not to mention the Katy Trail for cyclists, walkers and joggers. Upon arrival, seat yourself. Thre restrooms are just steps away from any patio seating. The 107 degree weather felt like 120…the misting fans and shade trees made the patio very comfortable for outdoor dining. Our servers Macy and Jessie provided exceptional service. We were told that every burger has bacon ground up in it. If pork isn’t your thing the nachos are a great alternative. The meat was tender and flavorful. The kids burger and fries were delicious (so I hear). The prices seemed a bit high for the amount of food but I guess that’s becoming the norm. Overall, this was a wonderful dining experience, one that will warrant a return. Next time I’ll bring my bike and hit the trail after lunch🤩

Great outdoor space with picnic tables. Terrific beer selection. BBQ only available Thursday to Sunday so we had burgers and appetizers. The onion rings were really good. The burger lacked flavor.

The people in this area love this restaurant! We just got takeout, so I'm not sure how the service is but the food was okay. I ordered a chicken salad salad and it was good but I wouldn't order it again. If I got a salad, I would probably just get a chicken Cesar salad. The loaded fries were good. It's more of a burger place. I'll have to try more items on their menu next time I go. Update: We found ourselves downtown and called to see if there was a table available. It was an hour and a half wait on a Thursday night. Wow! So we ordered takeout. The burgers were good but overpriced. I could get the same quality at 5guys. I do not like the fries at 5guys but they are way better than the fries here. My husband also got a grilled cheese and that was wayyyyy overpriced. The bread was not toasty and there was a block of cheese in the middle that wasn't even melted. Very underwhelmed by our experience.

So nice this time of year. Cold beer. Great view. Rustic vibes. Outdoor seating and on the Katy Trail. Valet parking.

This is a great place to grab a couple drinks and enjoy the weather. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor area is the perfect drinking environment with outdoor TV's, colorful chairs, shade from the trees, and large speakers throughout the property. While we were there they were playing live versions of songs over the speakers to where I thought there was a band playing. They also conveniently have a bathroom and bar outside in the large patio area. The service was great and they had seltzers. This place checks all the boxes!

Loved the atmosphere along the trail. Daughter and I got a 1 mile in/out to eat here last week. Kaylyn was super sweet and helpful. Missed BBQ which was on select days. Our meal was great. Many had their dogs their with them which made it more family-like. If in that section of Dallas definitely will go there again. Burgers were super and esp. loved the fries. Strong selection of draft beers - had to chose the Shiner local Texas beer on tap.

You can walk in and seat yourself inside the bar area or outside. Pretty casual place for after work drinks or hanging out with friends. It’s also dog friendly! My only issue was that a couple of waitresses walked by us many times and took forever to actually serve us. The margaritas are the best though! They’re huge and made with a heavy hand (love that). Parking is only valet unless you can find a spot on the street.

Awesome place on the Katy Trail, want to say hidden gem but first time on the trail and appears super popular!! Stopped in for lunch on our hike, was super happy that dogs were allowed. Very cool vibe, and although we were just drinking diet cokes, the drinks that were walking by us looked amazing. The restaurant is ginormous and seems like an awesome place to go to at night. My husband and I both got a BLT sandwich with American cheese, extra mayo on the side. Very simple, but good. I got a side of onion rings, husband got the fries. Both were tasty but the onion rings were a bit tough. Will definitely go back to check out the other food. Service was quick and server super sweet.

This restaurant was not at all what I expected. We had some friends visiting that had brought their dog, so we thought this would be a great place to meet and catch up. We couldn't have made a better choice. It was laid back, pooch positive, and the staff was fantastic. The outdoor heaters were a big help on a chilly evening, and the cocktails were excellent. All of the food was fresh and tasted house made. This restaurant has jumped to the top of my goto list! Tip: The valet parking makes it easy to park right in front of the restaurant, and not have to navigate the tricky street parking around it.

This place was awesome. If you walk some of the trail, what could be better than having a good meal and a cold beverage, just right there -have a nice hamburger or some barbecue, you have earned it!- and surrounded by nature and fire pits? But even if you don't hike, the place is worth a visit: great food, good music and super nice ambiance (you can always do some exercise the day after😉)

Chill vibes. Patio seating is perfect for those like to enjoy a drink while people watching. The patio is enjoyable even on hot summer evenings thanks to the many fans and misters throughout. The service and food was great.

In the enchanting embrace of the evening, we ventured into Katy Trail Ice House, and boy, was the atmosphere electrifying! This place offers the best of both worlds with its inviting indoor and outdoor seating options, and the vibrant crowd only adds to the charm. Now, let's talk service. It might not be the fastest in town, so here's a tip: If time is of the essence, grab a spot near the billing counter; it'll save you some waiting. As for the star of the show, our order included the Portabella Burger with a delightful side of Tater Tots. The burger was decent, but the real winners were those crispy, flavorful Tater Tots - they were a true delight, but the vegetarian options were minimal. Portions here won't leave you hungry; they've got that just right. So, whether you're in for the game-day excitement, a laid-back chill session, or a lively hangout with friends, Katy Trail Ice House has all the ingredients for a fantastic time. 🏈🍻👫 ©️MillionDollarCravings order: Portabella Burger with Tater Totes on Sides - $13.95 Hit 👍 if it was helpful!

What a chill place! Decided to stop here on our way back to the car from a walk on the Katy Trail, and it was a great decision. Environment is great, staff is amazing and that canned Margarita is BOMB!! Looks like a great place to come back to at night and just eat, drink, and relax.

Super friendly service, lots of tasty drafts on the beer menu. Plenty of shaded tables & misting fans. Dog friendly rules posted right when you walk in ( pretty much leashed & gets along with others). A great find on a hot afternoon- If your using the trolley to get around it’s a Quick hop & walk from Cole & Allen.

Absolutely adore this place! My family and I came here for drinks and apps. This place is dog friendly, so we brought my brothers corgi. They have bowls of water if you need it for your dog! It's right next to the trail, great for people watching. The bathrooms are clean and warm! Great prices for beer and apps. We order chicken quesadillas and they tasted great. I would recommend getting there early on the weekends, its definitely a popular place!

It's an amazing restaurant/bar in uptown Dallas. Great vibes with the setup and the lights make it cozy, you can bring your dog if needed and it's perfect for a gathering after work. The fries taste good but they are pretty dry and hard, there's definitely room for improvement there. The chicken sandwich is a must try!

Went with my daughter and my furbaby. It was a chilly Saturday night, so we sat next to one of the fireplaces and snuggled under the blanket-(which they provide). The fries are awesome, the BLT was the best I've ever had. The atmosphere is so pretty, and you will have planes that fly directly over, which is cool too. There are water bowls for your pet if you need them. All pets were well behaved. The music wasn't loud, you could still have a nice chat with the people at your table and hear them just fine. The waitress checked on us several times and it was pretty busy that night. The food came out fast too-which worried me at first, but no problems there. They bring you a huge drink, I usually have to ask for at least 2 refills- but not here, one was all I could drink. Overall I wish we had one of these places where I live. When we show back up in Dallas- we will be coming g back here to eat!

I went for a jog on Katy Trail and I went here afterward around 11:30 am yesterday on a Sunday. No line, we got in and we were seated. Our server was Megan. Very nice and was checking up on us. I ordered a grilled cheese with brisket. Got a beer rita, which they are known for there, and the best outdoor patio.

Lovely Texas style and Texas made bar and BBQ restaurant. Has a great design and atmosphere. Food is high end ingredients from the BBQ to the burgers to the nachos and the Texas home made beers and bourbons and vodkas . Friendly staff and service .

Amazing food! This is conviniently located along the 3.5 mile Katy Trail! Would recommend walking the trail and stopping by after for a bite/drink. Burger was amazing, fries were great, and they have a wide variety of drinks! There is a huge patio, they also show the big games! Very vibey!

Great food! I was lucky that they had the barbecue available at 2 PM on a Saturday. Ordered the ribs, brisket, and the loaded fries, along with a couple of drinks. Great food all around. The ambiance was nice, the staff was friendly, and it was my first time at a place like the Katy Trail Ice House! Great experience and I definitely recommend it (and get there early, you might not be as lucky as me)

Loved the atmosphere here, both during the day and at night! Dog-friendly, great drinks, good food and very cozy outside by the fireplaces. They even have blankets you can use in case it gets chilly.

This place was awesome. Went there with friends while on a business trip. I don't drink, but my friends were happy with their drinks. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the trail. It was a good and new experience. I would recommend place even if you are not a drinker. Get a soda and snack, enjoy the outdoors and trail.
