Brand new place, service is great. If you want anything special done with your dish just ask, they’re extremely accommodating. Only took off a star because the ambiance could use a little bit of work, but otherwise definitely go here if you’re looking for an authentic, hole-in-the-wall experience!

First time coming here and I had a great experience. Definitely recommend this restaurant! I had the VEGAN shiro (chick peas stew) which was so good and served traditionally which is always a plus. I also had kemem shayi (spiced tea) and it was amazing. I’m a tea fanatic so trust me you will never go wrong with my review on tea. Most of all, I loved the atmosphere. It was clean, soft music playing, customer service was above expectations. One thing I noticed which isn’t really important but I had to say is the bathroom smelled really good. Whatever they had in there was working. Check this place out. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Update- went in for food this time, vegetarian plate is not vegan. So ignore the reviews that this is vegan friendly. Vegetarian friendly, yes. They are listed as online orders accepted/ door dash for pick up but when I showed up they said they do not accept online orders. This business needs to remove themself from doordash, add a website and note that you have to call in.

My experience at MarRosso Cafe must be one of the strangest encounters I've ever had. Upon ordering 2 drinks for myself and my guest, I gave the bartender my credit card - only to find out he's overcharging (and completing the POS system prompts for me) - charging me $47! Not only this, but the bartender I had refused to refund me the money, and also refused to give me the receipt. Maybe I just got a bad bartender - who knows, but clearly this is not a place I will return to, given my experience. Highly caution those who want to go here to audit their charges before handing plastic - and maybe only use cash!

We went early so we missed the crowd, we had the lamb tibsi & meat lovers combo. The food was authentic, feeshly made & amazingly seasoned! They have hookah and a full bar as well and is definitely worth a visit.

When my daughter's dad comes to town, we usually enjoy a family meal at Gojo's but we decided to try something new this time. My daughter begged her dad and I to go to to our usual place but we convinced her to try a new place. I must say that my daughter's intuition was on point. The food at Marosso was okay. The fish tibs (goulash) was not seasoned very well at all. I hope they didn't see we are Americans and decided to go "light" on us :-( The whole purpose of going to eat other ethnic cuisines is to experience flavor profiles that we may not be able to cook at home. Her dad was disappointed that the venue was too modern. He likes places that have a more cultural aesthetic, but hey I have never been to East Africa (he has, but that was at least a decade ago). All in all, we ate the food with no complaints but I will stick to what I know from now on.

This place is a dark lounge and they don't even have the items listed on their menu. Tables and setting were not clean but atmosphere was so dismal and nothing like the reviews that caused me to choose this place! The menu and pictures are all in error.

Delicious food and a courteous, friendly staff, who were very patient explaining the cuisine to the uninitiated. I forgot to snap a picture of the entree (lamb and vegetables), but the macchiato was excellent as well.

I have fun in this place. Great Eritrean and Ethiopian music. Hip hop and so on. Friendly people. The owner of this place is really down to earth. He will come and serve you by himself. Polite and descent. Thank you MarRissi. Cafe.

This was my first visit. I love lamb, and spicy foods, so I ordered the Lamb Tibsi, which comes with enjera. It was tastefully amazing!!! It was so good, i didn't want to stopping eating. Yet the entree portion is so large, there was no way I could eat it all, in one sitting. I'll be going back to try other spicy entrees.

Veggie platter was phenomenal. The vibe was loud music, dark, and lots of internationals. Amazing
