The arrachera steak was tender, juicy and very well seasoned. The mole enchiladas were tasty and authentic. The traditional flan came with a scoop of ice cream and strawberries. We enjoyed our dinner at the cozy outside patio. Highly recommend place. Definitely we will be back.

First time going here. Based on the review score I expected to be wowed instead I was left quite underwhelmed. I've gone back today to read some of the lower scores and I have to agree. Very average tasting food made to look fancy. The description on Google does say contemporary serving to a trendy crowed...that's on point but I left feeling disappointed. My food lacked flavor and while it wasn't literally cold it was certainly wasn't hot. I had to ask the waiter to heat my food. The chips and salsa was decent. Queso great! the queso fundido with pork on the other hand was just ok, totally not as expected. Brisket enchiladas were ok. I didn't like the sauce that came on it and ended up asking for a little bit of queso to pour over. Would I go back? Eh yes only to try something totally different. I'll def give them one more chance. Ohhhh came back to add I appreciate the clean bathroom but also the toilet tabs that are placed inside the toilets are stong. You can smell them at the entrance when you 1st walk in. Waiter Augustine was great being that he's brand new.

OMG THE FOOD IS AMAZING! I was in Dallas for the first time for a conference and was desperate to find some good authentic Mexican food. EVERYTHING we tried was so delicious that we had to come back a second time during our 4-day stay. Everything is made in house and is so fresh. The sauces are prepared fresh each morning, and the bourbon margarita is exceptional. Literally the absolute BEST Mexican food I’ve ever had. You cannot afford to miss this one!

This restaurant is in the top ten Mexican restaurants in Dallas. Food was really good and flavorful. I'll definitely be back here to eat again when I'm up in Dallas. We drove hour and forty minutes just to eat here it's worth it.

This was my first time coming to this restaurant and it was delicious...the roasted salsa and queso was really good, every plate that everyone had was unique and delicious as well, service was a little slow other than that but will definitely be back

First time, and I was really looking forward to this dinner as Mesa was claimed to be one of the best Mexican restaurants in Dallas. Well, unfortunately I was disappointed. It was overall very busy, somewhat slow service, but I would have forgiven this aspect. I was disappointed in the food. it lacked flavour and it was cold. We indicated our concerns but they were not very well addressed. The chips and salsa is very nice, the queso fundido was ok, but as a Mole fn I was very disappointed by the chicken mole. Margaritas were ok, I wold recommend the Pineapple margarita. would I go back? I dont think so. there are better places I think.

First meal in Dallas, and it didn’t disappoint! From the service to the food to the atmosphere - everything was top notch. The enchiladas are delicious and filling - a little bit of a kick, if you’re sensitive to spicy food. And the drinks pack a punch! We had Fernando Nunez as our server, and he was absolutely phenomenal. Very knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations. We’re already trying to figure out a time to come back before we leave!

My husband had originally booked a reservation at a different restaurant for out wedding anniversary dinner , but once we got there the service was horrible and we walked out. I open google maps and found the closet restaurant to us. Didn’t read the reviews or the menu. From the moment we walked through the first set of doors of Meso Maya the service was so welcoming and friendly!! The server Omar was so polite and attentive!! The food was so delicious!! The vibe of the restaurant is so homey, comfy, and chill. Meso Maya, is by far the best Mexican restaurant I’ve been too in Texas!! Defense recommend it!!

Nice walk from the Perot natural history museum. Complimentary chips and salsa. The chips are ok. I don’t like the salsa, it’s a salsa roja and I don’t care for it. I ordered the tostaditas with black beans. They are adorably small. They come in orders or 4 or 8. They are pretty good. The salsa they come with is marvelous. This salsa is a little bit sweet at first and then it sneaks up on you. It can get spicy if you add too much. I ordered el chaman cocktail. It’s made with mezcal and I didn’t know I was not a fan of mezcal. It’s a little too bitter for my taste. That being said the drink itself is not bad. The flavor of the rest of the ingredients was quite good. The tajin rim helped a lot. The Oaxaca cocktail also has mezcal and it’s a little bit bitter but the taste is good. For my main meal I ordered the budín azteca con vegetales. It’s like a The portion is so large. It comes with this green tomatillo sauce it is so warm and delicious. Novela is a spicy martini. It has a good flavor and the spice level works well as a whole. The avocado margarita is so interesting. I had a few sips. I really didn’t taste the avocado only the pineapple 🍍 overall it was good. The service was fabulous all the staff was friendly and attentive

We found this place randomly looking for food on a Friday night. If you find parking on the street it’s not pricey. There’s also a lot where you can pay in the back. The ambiance of this place is so chill and friendly. We easily got a table on a Friday night with the restaurant being semi busy. The drinks are strong. They bring your table chips and salsa and the guacamole is fresh. We ordered the carne tacos, pollo serrano enchiladas, and pollo budin azteca. The food was good. For drinks we ordered cucumber margarita (refreshing), avocado margarita, and a bourbon margarita (very strong). I would recommend, and will be returning to try some dessert!

Asked our Uber driver who happened to be a Mexican where’s the best Mexican restaurant. And he recommended Meso Maya, and it definitely did not disappoint. We went with a group of seven, and we were all very impressed and loved the foods. The portion was very generous, they were flavorful. Friendly service, and nice ambience

Food was excellent, we had the ceviche, Budin Azteca Camaron and Cochinita Pibil. I can also say the Short Rib Rellano and Arrachera are excellent from previous times eating at the restaurant. My favorite from anything I’ve ordered is the Arrachera. I recommend eating on the second level if it’s available, it’s a nice quiet atmosphere up there and the bar is nicer in my opinion. Service was good, we sat for longer than I’d expect before a server ever came by considering they weren’t completely slammed or anything, but our sever was pleasant and helpful, so I did four stars for the wait, but not a knock on the server specifically.

Coming from a Mexican-born guy, this place just falls short, it has an attractive menu that made me think this would be legit, but not that so. It was decent and good for some chit chat and cool margaritas, but if you are looking for the real good Mexican stuff, this is no the place. The service was good but could have been better, specially if they were catering a few Mexican folks. Worth coming in and have a fun, cool hangout, but food just OK.

The food is great and love getting the cucumber margarita! My favorite dishes I have tried so far is the Camaraones a la Diable & Arrachera !!! For desert I got the pastel de chocolate anmd it had oaxacan dark chocolate that complemented perfectly with the corn ice cream!! This is great spot for date night.

First time to this restaurant....We really enjoyed the food and service. Mimosas were delicious. We had the Del Mar enchiladas and stuffed Poblano, and the Poblano queso was excellent as well. The manager Jimmy came to check on service and food...can't say enough good things about our experience today and will definitely be back!

My food was amazing. I loved everything I had to eat. The service itself was slightly slow but we had a big party so that’s ok. The food was made and brought out quickly after we ordered. Be aware that they don’t split checks for parties over 8, but they don’t have that on their menu or posted anywhere in the restaurant. I would definitely go back as the food was fantastic.

The pollo tacos were literally the most delicious tacos I've ever tasted. The combinaton of zesty and savory flavors was amazing, and I could tell how fresh the ingredients were. I also enjoyed trying pozole rojo for the first time. 10/10 and I'll be back again the next time I'm in Dallas!

Outstanding Mexican food, everything tastes fresh and authentic. The corn tortillas chips, the rice, guac, beans… everything was made in house. We had enchiladas and the beef fajitas plate, sooo good! Got flan to-go for dessert. Service was great, and good atmosphere. The price was reasonable for the location and quality of food. I would recommend this place to anyone. Definitely would take family here again!

What to say about Meso Maya Comida y Copas? I really loved this Mexican restaurant because they really serve authentic Mexican food. The quality of the food and the service were amazing. I personally enjoyed the enchiladas with mole sauce. The location of the restaurant is great, super close to the Perot Museum of Nature and Science downtown. The decoration is great. We really liked their courtyard, where we could let the kids run and play around while the others were finishing their food. I highly recommend it!

Lovely, knowledgeable server. Easily the best Mexican food I've had even when ordering the salmon! They know their cuisine very well. Smokey salsa, delectable queso, and handmade guacamole. The perfect place for a date or for friends. The interior feels like you crossed straight into Mexico, and you might be inspired to go if you manage to make it as close as Texas!

Still new to the area but I think this was downtown Dallas?? Anyway, met some co-workers for dinner and the food was decent for sure. The dessert was good too! The service was not bad and while it sounds pretty decent there was just something that didn’t scream WOW or even slightly better than average about the place. Small and cozy for sure and really busy during dinner so maybe give it a try! I have more Mexican options closer to me than this one so maybe that’s why I was not too impressed after the fight through 1hr of traffic only to have something that wasn’t super spectacular. The brisket enchiladas looked good but they were a little tough, should have got the queso enchiladas instead probably.

The vibe is lovely and good selection of food and drinks. But the cocktails are not boozy and the food was average. Loved the nacho chips here though!

Amazing meal here! We had the guacamole, and queso to start which was delicious. And then two large meals as well, both very tasty! The server was extremely nice and gave us some good recommendations. I will definitely be coming back to this restaurant, already looking forward to my next visit.

Went here after walking out of a previous restaurant. The hostess was super friendly, she seated us pretty fast, the waiter was very attentive and friendly. The area we were seated at was very cold 🥶 and we asked if they could cut the temperature up for us and they did, that made the rest of our stay much better. Food was delicious 😋 I liked that they had vegan friendly options!! 😋
