Fantastic food, great atmosphere. Loved everything from the rotating vegetarian options to the beautiful, serene environment, and the low prices! Instant favorite Dallas restaurant. Will be back again and again.

Kalachandji's is a wonderful experience. The temple is spiritually uplifting and simply beautiful, and they have a really cool gift shop with all sorts of goodies. The food in the restaurant is vegan, but that does not mean it isn't very tasty. The menu varies daily and it's set up buffet style, but don't get too much of any one thing, because you'll probably want to try a little bit of it all; you can always go back for more, but please be aware of what you waste. Definitely check this place out!

The restaurant is a gem which is closer to the city center. We visited on Sunday for lunch. I will discuss the restaurant and then share some information about the temple. 1. There are two entrances (one from the parking lot and the other from the temple’s side). *images attached 2. Lunch timings: 12 pm to 3 pm 3. Price: Lunch - 14.95/ per person; Dinner - $17.95 / per person 4. Food is sattvic (contains no onion, no garlic). It is easy to digest, and neither is it spicy. 5. Outfit: People were dressed in traditional attire or casual. Recommend semi-formal. ©️MillionDollarCravings Recommendations: a) Take small portions. Taste it first so that you don't waste the food. b) Try to be early so that you can enjoy the meal c) Visit the temple as it is adjacent to the restaurant. Please take a seat there; it's very peaceful (recommended before lunch/dinner) Hit 👍 of it was helpful. Hare Krishna!

As my husband & I were in Dallas we wanted to have Veg for a change and searched something near me and we came across this place which is small yet with very calming vibes. The people and ambience was very nice. Food was delicious too and I do give 10/10 for tamarind tea. The only thing we felt it was bit pricey and we did not knew what all comes in it as some stuff we bought separately like samosa and some sweet and we took it by paying extra. overall we liked the place and would definitely go for good food and to get spiritual side.

This is a really good Indian spot hidden inside a temple! All the food is vegetarian and its buffet style. The raisin bread and black bean curry were my favorites. The tamarind lemonade is worth getting too. The garden temple setting where you eat makes the experience even better! Raisin bread and curry are must orders here. I would definitely come back to this spot.

My boyfriend and I come here once a week. It’s very good and flavorful. It’s all vegetarian or vegan. It’s a buffet but you have to pay after grabbing your plate and can come back for more. The service is nice all the employees are sweet and helpful. Food is made fresh. Clean areas to sit inside or outside in their beautiful courtyard. Easy to take it home as well.

Unbelievably tasty vegetarian and vegan food. It's a buffet, but not its not all-you-can- eat. Someone serves you the food in your plate -- something such as Chipotle in this regard. The Indian dessert is just superb. There are also one or two Western fare like lasagna, but I personally think it spoils the Indian taste, so I usually avoid it. You eat your food in a lovely open area in the Krishna temple, while Indian tones play in the background. The ambiance is very peaceful and perfect for gentle conversations!

Mindful Eating! A warm and welcoming environment where you instantly feel a shift of energy. We went on Saturday afternoon for lunch and surprisingly it was not too long of a wait. As you enter the restaurant the buffet is lined up and filled with amazing fresh foods. Take a tray, line up your plate and utensils and enjoy the variety of all vegetarian (and vegan) food options. Everything was fresh, delicious, and satisfying! The courtyard is also pleasant to be surrounded by! I definitely recommend trying this mindful food experience!!

This place surprised me in every way. The food was top class vegetarian. With sweets . All self-service. The most impressive is the devotion with which they attend on you when necessary. It's a kind of silent prayer. It is your money's worth in every way.

I travel throughout the U.S. for business. I’m on the road 40+ weeks/year. Suffice it say I have my favorite restaurants in nearly every part of the country. These days many restaurants have vegetarian options, and while that trend is getting better, good vegetarian options are still a challenge. I was introduced to Kalachandji's by a local friend. I learned that Kalachandji's is Dallas' longest serving vegetarian restaurant. I travel to Dallas 2 – 3 times per year and this has become my personal Texas tradition. I prefer to arrive as soon as they open for lunch or dinner (There is usually a line waiting to get in) before they run out of options. I am not complaining; they are THAT popular and the food is THAT good. Food is always fresh, and the service is always friendly. Thank you.

Healthy vegetarian food. Plenty of food. You will love it if you like Indian food without too much oil and spices. Quite tasty like home cooked food. I dined in the open by a fountain, under a tree. It was a serene experience.

I visited yesterday and all I can say is that the food was delicious. The staff was very nice, Jose explained to my friend and I what every dish was made off since we had little knowledge about Indian food. I loved everything and I will definitely come back.

Rich culture of a particular Indian Hindu sect depicted inside. Imparts a serene ambience. The restaurant is standalone and has an spectacular ambience with a splendid porch that transports one to one of the many temple gardens of India. Can spend hours there appreciating the decor. Food is very simple, reminiscent of home cooked food, great authentic flavor profile. Loved the uniquely refreshing tamarind sherbet. Even though they're pure vegetarian, they rank as one of my favorite Indian restaurants in the US, of whatever I've explored.

World class destination of actors, Musicians and vegans from all over the Planet. Indian cuisine at its finest. Attached to the Temple and accessible by back parking lot.i am not a vegan, in fact carnivore lol. However I could be turned out Vegan if I had daily access to these recipes and fare. My daughter and Grandson love this place. I normally do not like Indian cuisine or curry heavy recipes but their excellent blend of spices are delicious. Looking forward to dining there again soon.

You are always treated like family when you are here. The food is all you can eat and the spicy and savory flavors will transport you to a happier existence. If you haven't been here yet you MUST come and dine al fresco! We are constantly bringing friends and family to dine and they are so hooked that they come back too. Not to mention all the good works they are doing in the community. Really, there is no reason why you should have read this far in my review. Hurry up and go there now. 😁

We were really craving some Indian food and decided to stop by here because of how unique it was. This is a vegetarian buffet styled restaurant that's located inside a temple. There weren't too many options when I was here, but everything they served that day was delicious. There's a fairly large parking lot with ample parking even on a Friday night. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating had a magnificent tree and each table was equipped with a heater so you don't have to worry about it being too cold. I preferred eating outdoor as it was not as crowded as indoor. The concept is simple. You walk in, immediately grab yourself a tray, plate, and utensils and then proceed to filling your plate with whatever you want. Remember, it's buffet style, so you can have more than one round. Do not overfill your plates with food that you cannot finish. After you grab your food you can go and pay for your food before finding a table. When it's time for you to get seconds, you can go right back to where you started and just grab a new plate for food. At the end of the meal, you can just leave the plates at the table. I believe they also allow you to take the leftovers home, which is very nice of them. On the night I came here there were people dancing in the other rooms of the temple. Please respect the posted signs about the shoes.

This place never disappoints me. They always come up with twists in their preparation style. Some days the food is prepared in pure ghee and some days with coconut oil. Although over time the dishes have reduced, however never the less the spread is lavish. Their tamarind juice is always a delight. Would certainly continue visiting this place.

A friend and I visited Dallas over the weekend and we were looking for a quiet spot to eat a tasty meal. When we arrived I was honestly about to turn around. You walk into a church hall and it just feels like we were in the wrong spot but we found our way to the restaurant and found some friendly locals behind us in line that told us we picked the perfect spot. The Indian food (even though it was vegetarian) was so delicious. The atmosphere is quaint and nice. Seating is limited indoors but they have a beautiful outdoor patio as well. Some cons were they charged extra for samosas ($2) but everything was so delicious. Great spot! P.s. don’t be alarmed with the no shoes thing on some folks, it’s just their respect for the temple

A very reasonably priced dinner buffet option. The menu on the wall notates items to watch out for depending on food allergies/ethical concerns, so that is a nice addition. Everything was tasty, but note that a few items like the samosas and several dessert options are extra. The dal soup was great comfort food, the bean masala was great, and the aloo with green beans were yummy, in particular. I would def come back.

One of my favorite places to eat in Dallas. The food is always fresh and very flavorful. Excellent buffet options that change daily and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. The ambience is everything you would expect from a Hindu temple. Clean and always inviting.
