This little restaurant will give you a feel of a diner. But not just the feel, the food was amazingly delicious too. We ordered for meatloaf, that comes with three sides. Mashed potato was served with beef gravy on top, I haven't eaten such wonderful mashed potato in ages. Corn was soft and sweet, just how you would like it. And the fried okras were crunchy and tasty. My grilled chicken salad was delicious. The chicken was tender and juicy. The meals were so huge that we had to pack the leftovers. Oh, the fried mushrooms were the perfect appetizer for our brunch. There were complimentary freshly baked buns and cornbread to start with. I couldn't love my experience here more. Their ♿ entrance and parking along with the accessible 🚻 just made them earn an extra ✨. I am going back to this restaurant for brunch again, for sure.

I enjoyed the Blue Plate Special on the 67th anniversary of the cafe and had a great experience! $1.85 chicken fried steak and great atmosphere and service. They were on a wait but the staff was friendly and welcoming. We had a great time and I plan to return.

This was not my first Norma's experience, but it was for my parents and they loved this location. They were understaffed but our server was quick as she could be and so attentive. The food is great comfort food. The portions are more than generous, especially for the price. Love the atmosphere of Norma's and this is a great location. You could tell there were regulars. I recommend that you go here.

The food is so good! Me and husband went there for lunch 😋 it reminds me of when I was a little girl mom and dad took me to. Everyone is nice, the atmosphere is great. I will most definitely be back and will bring in more friends and family with me. Go there try it out you won't be disappointed. The rolls and cornbread they give you are delicious 🤤

Food was luke warm, greasy, gristly mostly tastleless. The server was, at best, adequate, and yet the best part of the visit. The joint between the table and wall was full of leavings and crumbs of many previous patrons, lodged in cakes on layers of grease. PLEASE, CLEAN THIS NORMA! So nasty.

Hands down the best diner experience in Dallas! Will always make the stop when I’m in town just for the cornbread alone and probably the chicken fried steak breakfast I’ve ever had! Enjoyed my experience through and through!

Walking into this diner is stepping back 20 years. It's your grandma's cooking. It's that good you just always seem to get full on. The pie that hits the spot right after you've been stuffed and said "I can't eat anymore....okay maybe I have room for dessert." Melody was very nice and a courteous waitress. Glad we dined-in

Another jewel in my tapestry of great diners!! Norma's serves up classic diner breakfast with plenty of biscuits, chicken fried chicken, and huge fluffy omelettes.. Took home German Chocolate Cake and blueberry cobbler, report to come.

I’ve been going to Norma’s since I was a little kid. The original one we remodeled the kitchen on the plumbing side. But they’ve opened several new cafes since.

Even though the were short staffed, the service by Melody was superb! Everyone pitched in. No complaints on the food or price. That Big Ol Cinnamon Roll was everything😊

We ate here for breakfast. Both my husband and I got veggie omelets, but he got a biscuit and I got toast. From the minute we walked in the service was excellent. You pretty much looked at a server and before you knew it, they were walking your way asking if you needed anything. When it comes to the food, it was served warm, had great flavor, and was large enough that I got a second meal out of it. Prices are great for the portions as well!

Norma's Holiday Take-Home Meals Review - I ordered a Thanksgiving meal to go. The meal was precooked and just required reheating at home. Mixed reviews about this meal: Ham was excellent - precooked and juicy when reheated. I reheated mine on my outdoor grill, and it was perfect! Dressing was VERY dry - most of it went uneaten. Giblet Gravy - this was the only gravy they offered, and it was very fatty - no one added it to their plate. Yams - good, but I had to add marshmallows at home when I reheated it. Green Beans - very good - everyone enjoyed. Mashed potatoes - very good. Rolls and cornbread - good. Norma's also provided butter for the rolls and cornbread. Pumpkin Pie - very flavorful - lots of nutmeg and cinnamon. No whipped cream on the pie, so we added it at home. Sweet Tea - average. The pick-up process for the holiday meals was VERY slow and somewhat unorganized. The restaurant was open for diners at the same time people were coming in to get their holiday meals. The meal orders weren't prepared beforehand; therefore, your meal was put together as you were waiting, and I waited 45 minutes to get a meal that I thought would be boxed and ready to go when I got there. When you ordered the meal online, you chose a time and day to pick it up. I arrived at the time I indicated on my order, along with at least 15 other people that must have signed up for the same time or disregarded their pick up time and just showed up. I was disappointed with this process. In addition, you can't sub-out items as the meals are pre-set. You can order extra menu items to add, if you want, for an additional charge. Not sure I will get a holiday meal from Norma's again. I enjoy dining here on occasion, but I was disappointed with the holiday meal pick up process and some of the items in the meal weren't satisfactory.

Hands down the worst dining experience ever! Our server walked over and said, "What do you want" in a rude way. We asked for menus and beverages. She insisted they do not have club soda, but they have a fountain. It's the little lever that says soda on the sprite btw. We eventually got to order. I requested fresh sausage as I know they use a warmer, so I requested fresh. It was at a minimum used on the am shift, if not the day before, I couldn't cut the day old cinnamon roll with a steak knife, none of our food was hot. I was unable to eat any of my food, as it was too old or too hard. I certainly was charged for the food I didn't eat, we rarely saw our pilled out server, and had to try to find people to help. The order was also not complete. It was a massive disappointment as I was looking forward to trying this place out. RUN! unless you enjoy stale, cold, hard food, and leaving hungrier than when you left with a splash of nasty and rude from your server, then this is for sure this is the place for you! Make sure you have a strong stomach because all items are held at an unsafe bacteria breeding temperature for longer than health department allows. Photos includes. Day old sausage and "fresh" that was just flung in a fryer for a few seconds, the rock hard roll, Bill with everything charged, I'm still waiting for hot hashbrowns with cheese, and the cold and old waffle that I took home to attempt to reheat, as you can see, butter won't melt. They "syrup" is also just flavored and not actually maple syrup, it's fake and doesn't look good at all.

Came here on a whim and I’m so glad I did. Store manager was amazing. Best rolls I’ve ever had hands down. Chicken fried chicken, French toast, holy cow! Chocolate pie was a delicacy! Will be back.

We had went to Norma’s Cafe and it was ok, not awesome food.. I had a mushroom omelette and hash browns.. a mushroom omelette is easy. Well, the eggs were runny and a couple of mushrooms.. my wife liked the Texas scrambler, however the fruit was old.. the bill was $30+ so, I would say 2.9 but I bumped to 3..

We were in the area for another event and stopped by Norma’s Cafe mid-day on a Saturday. It was very busy, but worth the wait! The food was very tasty and the portion sizes did not disappoint! Needless to say after eating our breakfast entrees of - Norma’s Cafe Favorite (eggs and my choice of hashbrowns, bacon, and biscuit) and the CBGB (chicken tenders and bacon stacked on a biscuit, hashbrowns, eggs, cheese and smothered in gravy) and a short stack of pancakes- we had no room for dessert. Maybe next time! If you have never been, give them a try. You will not be disappointed.

Walked in but was not greeted upon entry. Once we were greeted, the staff was very friendly, grits was cold and undercooked, eggs was overcooked and kind of burnt, hah hashbrowns was hard, omlette was under cooked and raw, even the orange juice was nasty but Melissa the waitress was very nice.

This Norma’s cafe is mid compared to others in the metroplex. I love the hash browns/biscuit/ and eggs, but steak seemed undercooked, & under seasoned. They wouldn’t sub out my cinnamon roll instead of a pie which wasn’t nice. They were out of cherry pies, that’s another neg, they were understaffed and overwhelmed so you have to be patient. Oatmeal was great! On the other side of northpark On park lane
