Over priced disappointment. This is the definition of a dive bar, except we ended up paying $30 for two average sandwiches. I was initially surprised after reading the nearly 1600 positive reviews of this place! Everything looked amazing (see photos) but at the end of the day it needs to taste good. Pros: - large portions - fast service - quality presentation Cons: - overpriced - under-seasoned meat - bland texture - tasted reheated - paid parking - sketchy location - terrible atmosphere I went for lunch with a friend and tried the goat cheese and bacon club and the slow roasted pork sandwich. Both tasted like they made them the day before and heated them up! Very unfortunate experience for such a highly rated establishment. The goat cheese was the only good thing to say about the fist sandwich. Bread was soggy, tomatoes too thickly cut, bacon was cheap, and cucumbers were unnecessary garnish. The fries tasted reheated as well. The pulled pork was disappointingly dry for a rub based meat. No sauce, no marinade, no unique seasoning to speak of. Extremely unoriginal. This is very clearly a bar first and a restaurant second. In summary: either I hit this place on an off day, or this is a mediocre place with inflated reviews from bar patrons. Edit: I went back to make sure it wasn’t an off day, and it was the same the second time. Don’t waste your time or money here.

Unique sandwich shop! We enjoyed the sliced ribeye and a dinner salad, both were served quickly and fresh. Great Margarita with Josue Cuervo gold!

This is a hole in the wall but absolutely worth checking out!! Our server was running the show and despite doing it all, we had excellent service and the food was fantastic!! Enormous hamburgers, delicious fries, and definitely don’t overlook the sandwich menu! Philly cheesesteak was amazing. I’m looking forward to coming back!

With a unique atmosphere that perfectly fits the vibes of Deep Ellum and great food that features the freshest and most flavorful ingredients, Uncle Uber’s Sammich Shop serves the best sandwiches in Dallas. You can’t go wrong with a delicious sandwich and cold beer from Uncle Uber’s for lunch or dinner! I recommend the Cuban or the Veggie BUNme.

Great place to stop in when you’re exploring Deep Ellum. There was plenty of seating, though I went during the week while everyone was at work. I would imagine in the evening, or on the weekend, this place fills up. There were pool tables and a section just for the bar, separate from the tables. The menu is simple but there are plenty of options. I enjoyed the view while eating the Cuban sandwich I ordered.

The food is incredible, and I guess I just wasn’t expecting it to be THAT amazing. I liked everything we tried. The sweet potato waffle fries were my favorite. But the Friday and Saturday night bartenders (Rico and Chuck) are top notch and they make amazing drinks while always being fun and friendly! The DJ is on point and the atmosphere is very laid back but hopping. They also serve food late and that’s always a plus when your out drinking. I will definitely go back and visit every time I’m in downtown Dallas.

I had the Clara Peller sandwich and fries, it was $15 an it was delicious! We were the only people in there at about 3 pm. Our server was nice, the food was fresh and the fries were seasoned to perfection.

*This is a late post! I’m so behind on posting* This place is feels like the TV Show “Cheers” I am sure this has to be a local lunch hot spot! First thing first! The barkeep was the coolest guy I’ve met in a longtime! He was entertaining and happened to know some of the lyrics to Hanson “MMMBOP” *also there was a patron that sing the entire song* The lemonade here is also amazing & if you’ve read my other reviews you know I love lemonade! The chicken sandwich was much better than the steak sandwich! This is the reason I typically get two meals! I have nothing bad to say about Uncle Uber’s! The place is super lax! And the food is typical bar food! I would definitely say give this place a try!

I love a good sandwich 🥪! Fresh roasted bread, thinly sliced meat, perfectly sliced avocado 🥑! Uncle Uber's is a great spot for a quick bite or to relax for a long lunch. Can't wait to go back!

One of the best low key sandwiches in all of Deep Ellum!! We tried the Clara Peller Sandwich with the Sweet Potato Waffle Fries and it was absolutely delicious!! If they can add a sauce for the waffle Fries it would take them over the top!! Staff was super friendly and made a great food recommendation. If you're looking for a drink or a quick bite to eat this is a solid stop while in the area.

I had lunch here, it was delicious. I got the chicken salad with alvacado and bacon and habanaro ranch. It was all fresh and juicy, very good romaine. I loved it. Also, I tried 3 different mixed drinks, amaretto, red headed Irish, and Washington and they were all made perfectly. Lauren was our tender/waitress, she was so kind and fast. Absolutely loved it. Also, the parking can be difficult, and it is on a one way street, bit you can pay to park in a lit two doors Down and it's only 4-6$ so not too bad. Tons of other restaurants and stuff around them also. Out of 5 I would give them a 4.7, definitely great for socializing and a quick bite.

My Husband & I Consider Ourselves Certified "Foodies!" My Husband Read A Few Reviews & Liked The Rating, So Off To Uncle Uber's. We Were Not Greeted When We Walked In, So We Were Not Sure To Wait For A Hostess/Greeter, Or Go To The Bar To Place Our Order For CarryOut??? We Headed To The Bar, & The young Lady Asked If We Were Dining In, Or Ordering To-Go? She Was Very Busy & Explained That They Were Short-Staffed For A Monday...After A Few Minutes Wait, A guy Did Take Our Order, & I Must Say Our Food Was Out Pretty Quick Inspite Of Them Being Short-Staffed. Might I Add, Our Food Was, Fresh, Hot 🔥 & Delicious! I Had The Blackened Fish Sandwich With The Most Cute tetris game pieces-shaped Tater-Tots, & My Husband Had The Double-Meat Burger With Fries. We Will Come Back!

This place make one of the best sandwiches in deep ellum , after 2 years I stop by again , they did make some changes in bar area . Sandwich still good , but they could’ve make better improvement about decoration.

Would come here for their delicious cheese steaks but will not be returning due to their undisclosed "merchant card fee" that's charged on the top line then taxed on the bottom. When asked about it, they said it started in November. But it is not disclosed anywhere in their restaurant or menu. Just another way to penny pinch their customers. Service here has always been mediocre. Cheesesteak is good. Fries taste stale and prob been sitting under the heat lamp for hours.

I so loved theses burgers. It’s not fancy just a regular burger but they are really delicious. I recommend this place if your in the mood for just a regular simple burger 🍔

Decent prices, tasty food. Could have a better beer selection. Bartender was nice, server could have been a little more cordial, but it's a sandwich shop - a decent beer and sandwich is all that's needed.

Unassuming, decent spot to grab a sandwich and a beer in Deep Ellum! We ordered a few items… I had the chicken cordon bleu and a couple of beers. The beer was cheap and cold (how God intended)… portions are HUGE but the sandwich was just ok, could’ve used some Dijon mustard and it would’ve been great.

the grilled chicken sandwiches and tater tots are next level delicious! Like for real - it’s hard to make a tasty grilled chicken, but Uncle Uber got the sauce!

Great quality ingredients and welcoming atmosphere. Lacking 5 stars because, and perhaps I’m just petty, but $15 plus tax and a $4.50 gratuity fee tacked on for pickup orders on a Cuban sandwich and sweet potato waffle fries (no drink)? Seems like ole’ Uncle Uber is running a little bit of a racketeering business. Plus, Cheeba Hut is better in my humble opinion.

We were in there last Sat, I ordered the Bacon and goat cheese with sweet potato fries and my husband ordered the rib eye with tots. Those were the best sandwiches we have ever had and beyond filling. I wish I could remember our waiters name, but he was beyond AMAZING!!!! Also the tea here is delicious!!!

Perhaps the greatest hole in the wall I've dined at all year. I went here with my brother on his recommendation and it lived up to my expectations. Service was good, the habanero ranch is a nice compliment to the sandwich, and the sandwich is very filling.

Ate there on Memorial Day and it was wonderful. Food came out hot, fresh and delicious. Nice selection of beers and a good vibe. Staff was friendly and super attentive. I got my sandwich their "spicy" way and it had a nice kick to it, thankfully nothing I had to call an ambulance over.
