This is my new favorite restaurant in Dallas. Talk about a true dining experience. I don’t think I’ve ever had service like I did last night with Chris. He was so friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. He really went above and beyond to make sure we had a great evening (and we did). The food and drinks we ordered were superb and beautifully presented. I absolutely loved the atmosphere - dark, quaint but still modern and lively. We will definitely be back in the near future!

The charles is an amazing restaurant with charismatic, helpful staff. The valet was great, greeters friendly, and waiters very friendly. We had a great time for my parents anniversary! Great pastas and drinks! Apps are yummy.

LOVE this restaurant. First time here with friends. They have great Italian pasta with a twist. The ink pasta and the blue crab pasta were fantastic and the pork chop was so juicy and flavorful. The salad was amazing as well. Will definitely come back.

Fun spot for Italian with a modern twist served by one of the best teams in town. This place just has that “it” factor that makes you feel cool just by virtue of sitting in the space. It’s dark and intimate, but lively, especially if you are seated in the “secret” back bar. Nearly everything on the menu is inventive and on point. We had a couple of small hiccups on our last visit, but those are unusual and always well-compensated. Equally great choice for a weekday date night or a weekend dinner for a larger party.

Phenomenal service. Every member of the staff I encountered were friendly, and made me feel more like a friend at a dinner party than a customer. That usually means it's a good place to work. The food was next level for both surf and turf. Pasta was cooked to perfection. Cocktails were unique takes on familiar favorites. The Mega pint makes you feel like a gentlemanly viking.

Absolutely one of the best meals we’ve ever had. Everything was perfect - well-thought out, interesting, and delicious food and drinks. Briana was so friendly and knowledgeable, too. Automatic favorite in Dallas.

Great food. Had the lemon ricotta gnudi, totally different than the usual pasta, topped with hazelnuts. As second plate, we had the pork chop, oh my goodness, just amazing, so tender that you wouldn't believe it is pork, great sauce, oyster mushroom made a great compliment. Had the shishito peppers and onions as side, would have made a better side for a steak, but yet delicious. We aslo had octopus as appetizer, was good but not as amazing as other reviews suggested. Oh, and that olive oil cake with mascarpone and lemon sorbet, what a way to close our dinner, just outstanding. The only issue is that the place is very small and tables are way too close to each other, with the music being so loud and people's chatter makes the place quite noisy, but can't wait to go back. Short ribs, you are next...

This classy restaurant, complete with a hidden speakeasy-like bar in the back, exceeded all our expectations. The wait staff was friendly with excellent service. Our attentive server had a thorough understanding of both the menu and off-menu items. All the staff seem to be always in sync ensuring our table was never too crowded or empty, always serving food and drinks in a timely manner. We tried the branzino fish, grilled beets, crispy polenta, and veal ragu capalone. Each dish was tasty, it was a symphony of flavors. For cocktail we tried Aperol Spritz and Mezcal Amerato from the bar. The drinks were good, but will try something else next time. To end the meal on a sweet note, we tried the tiramisu. This place offers a truly exceptional dining experience, with impeccable service, flavorful food, and an enticing hidden bar. It has earned its place among the best in town.

Truly the best service I’ve had from any restaurant! What a special experience. The food and drinks were incredible, along with the entire staff. Highly recommend the spicy marg, pink snapper crudo, and the shrimp pasta. I’ve been GF since 2012 and hands down the best GF pasta too. Can’t wait to go back!

My brother & sister brought us to The Charles our first night in Dallas. We ate in the speakeasy bar and had a fantastic time! The charred octopus was amazing! The wood fired oysters so good! The Spicy Creste Di Gallo was so good!! We ended the meal with the Olive Oil cake. This place is a must hit. The food and cocktails are just want you want for an evening out.

This is one of the best meals I've ever had. The old fashioned was the best I've ever had (maybe out of a hundred or so), and the crab pasta took me about 40 minutes to eat only because I never wanted it to end. Tiniest bites ever, followed by chewing similar to the rate of a cow. The tiramisu melts in your mouth until it's just a memory.

Went to dinner with some friends and the service and food was above and beyond. Our server Chris and Matt who was training were friendly and very knowledgeable. The sommelier was very enthusiastic about the wine and made it a very fun time. The food was portioned perfectly and the courses were timed out impeccably. The big steak was the star of the show, and the pastas were phenomenal, all Chris’s recommendations. Can’t wait to come back.

First time going to the Charles last night and it was great. My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary there and they were so accommodating. So many of the staff stopped by our table to greet us and made us feel special. The food was excellent as well. I hope when we visit again we can try a different seasonal menu. Wine selection was great as well. The vibe is very romantic and intimate. Nate made sure we had a great time. He had such great energy and wide knowledge of the food and drinks. They also have complimentary valet which is a plus. Will definitely be back.

If you’ve heard of, or been referred to The Charles and comments include, beautiful, amazing service or exquisite cusine; They’re all true! Hands down, one of the best dining experiences I’ve enjoyed in Dallas, and I’ve enjoyed many amazing places. From the moment you arrive to Valet, and the hostess, you’re greeted with the warmest of greetings. You’ll appreciate the teamwork every member of the staff, right to the GM, exude, to assure your experience is amazing. Our server Austin was so knowledgeable and warm, our time enjoying our fabulous cuisine and cocktails passed far too quickly. The Charles enjoys a diverse clientele, both in demographic and attire. The eclectic dining area with its open kitchen and stylish bar are petite in size, arousing memories of the ambiance of fine dining cars of luxury railways. Not to be outdone, they’ve even managed to incorporate through the kitchen, a speakeasy (Bar Charles) that elevates the vibe of the night, while maintaining the same amazing service, and dining experience. You can always visit for cocktails, however, If you’re on a tight budget, the full Charles experience may be one you’ll save for a special occasion; it will be so worth it. I look forward to seeing there soon! Xoxo Lorenzo!

Nice vibe and fun atmosphere, good food, especially the pastas. Lots of friendly attentive staff. Interesting back room and speakeasy. White chocolate tiramisu was a standout.

Really enjoyed this place. We went with a group of 7 for my bday. They have a speak-easy section through the kitchen where we had drinks and our private-ish group table was at. Our waiter was great. Drinks and food were very good. Only draw back is that the size of the dishes are a bit small for the price, in my opinion. We'll definitely go back
