Nice and knowledgeable staff. Tons of great planes and models on display. Worth the visit if you are interested in aircrafts. Goes through the history of flight. Also has aerospace exhibits. Glad we came. There is a Groupon to save a little on admission.

Good visit with family and loved the staff and their store. Good display can spend 2-4 hrs easily and an indoor play or break area for kids .

Great museum and overall experience. Quite educational but I wish there was some guide or audio tour also available. We haven’t seen that option. Maybe because we came on the back to school day and there were lots of kids, live music, some swag stations, etc. It was hard to make it to all the stations and pay attention. We liked that you can see lots of things up close!

Wonderful museum with knowledgeable people all around. The museum itself is great, though some of it's technology wasn't working. For example, some of the simulations on screens didn't work. Text heavy! However, I don't mind standing around reading, which is why I'm rating it 5 stars. With its planes and lots of room, I don't see kids getting bored, especially when there's a play area specifically for them. I didn't get to explore that area because it's only for children and their families. The price is great and the gift shop is wonderful! Restrooms are well maintained and clean. If you're a history buff for WWI and WW2, national and international flight history as well as local history, I recommend this museum. I will certainly be going back!

Educational and fun. Kids will love it. And teens and all. Amazed how many airplanes they have display in the museum space. So much to see. I can spend a day here. Too bad there is no restaurant inside.

What a cool flight museum! From the start you see an F16 parked right outside and you go in and see so many more planes, even the capsule from an Apollo mission! A must go for any aviation enthusiast or anyone who loves space/planes/helicopters. Great place!

Awesome place to go to experience how airplanes have shaped America's history over time. For an aspiring pilot like myself it was incredible to see how it all started ask the way to where we are with technology and creativity today. The museum is only 10 minutes from Bachman Lake Park. Highly recommend for anyone who loves to plane spot!

I've been to a reasonable number of air museums, and this one is my favorite so far. My husband, who is an aviation nerd and is not easily impressed by air museums, also enjoyed it. The museum is small enough that you can see everything in a few hours (even taking your time), the signage is good, and unlike a lot of museums that have the aircraft roped off, you can walk right up to most of them. They had some unique aircraft that you can't find many (or any) other places, such as the Flying Pancake, the Learfam, and the Regulus II. The non-aircraft exhibits were well done; my personal favorite was a collection of zeppelin themed kitchen objects that included a chocolate mold.

The family had a great time. It's not huge, but has enough within to warrant a 2-3 hour trip. Surprising me, it also had a sizeable kids' play zone within it, such that maybe 1 parent hangs with the kids while the other gets to read and see the various exhibits on display. Airplanes everywhere, of course, but there's also a surprising amount of aviation-related stuff to see. Hindenburg stuff, for example!

I visited this museum my baby love to see the airplanes. 🛫🚁 There were many different type of planes like passenger, fighter, helicopters and the ancient one. The facility is very small not much to do. This activity will take hardly 1:30 to 2 hrs. Gift shop prices are very good but variety of gifts are limited. 😍 Adult entry price $12 Kids $7 Behind the facility like from parking you can see the Love Field Airport❣️ My baby was so excited to see so many planed take off and landing. ✈️🛬🛫

Cool museum! Some of the staff were friendly and helpful. There was a class to view which the staff was somewhat trained but may need to dig a little more to teach the material. Overall good experience they do have a scavenger hunt for kids play area, and lunch area if going with school or friends.

What a great museum. I didn’t even realize it was there until I went to see a Coldplay by Strings concert there. The show was fantastic. Long enough for you to enjoy and then afterwards we explored a little of the museum.

Hidden gem of a museum in Dallas. Very impressed with the aerospace and aviation history, and it's a place that all, from kids to adults, should visit. It was so cool to learn about how Southwest Airlines started. The history of flight in military and commercial were very interesting. While not a huge museum, I would at least reserve two hours to see everything.

This museum was great, and theres a lot of variety within the museum. They have different time periods and old war relics like uniforms and badges. It was a surprise that they still had a Hindenberg chair from the control tower, and Admiral Byrd's parka. The only downside was that you could get in a plane with employee help, but there were no employees around. And, it was locked so it probably wasnt even an option. This museum was pretty cool though and theres a lot to see! 4/5

Good museum, could be better but for someone who is really into aviation, it was a good time. Could definitely use a few more aircraft and more information on Southwest airlines. Great for families though since there is a large kids area. Would go again.

Excellent aviation museum focusing on Dallas. The exhibit on the history of Southwest Airlines is informative and relevant given the proximity to the Southwest hub at Love Field. The few actual aircraft are impressive. The hidden gem is the amount of models there. As you walk in there is a model workshop where you can watch as models get built and serviced. The museum goes through the history of aviation, from Wright Brothers to now. It's also home of the Apollo 7 command module. A lovely way to spend an afternoon. 10/10 will visit again

Took a last-minute road trip with my son before school started, this museum was so worth the 5-hour drive. Great section right after entering the museum which is dedicated to the Apollo program which was great for my space obsessed son! He loved getting to see inside the Apollo 7 CM and was in awe of seeing the SPS engine used on the CSM. Really cool to see so many aircraft, and so much history, up close. Staff was friendly.

Wow! Wow! Wow! How in the world did I not know about this wonderful museum until now? Attended the Candelight Concert series here and could not have been more pleased. The museum had so much history and a wonderful collection of all the GI Joes that had been made so it would be so great for kids to see too.

I've been here a couple of times in the past year in association with Guadalupe Radio Network's annual Summer Speaker Series. The museum is loaded with world-class visuals consisting of air and space flight memorabilia and informational displays going all the way back to the Wright brothers. Vintage military and civilian aircraft from all flight eras are parked inside and outside and even suspended by cables from the ceiling indoors. They even have the Apollo 8 Command Module inside! A large stage and audience seating space are available for public presentations, so this is an excellent venue for speaking engagements and other events up to several hundred people. This museum is perfect for such occasions because there is much to see before and after any event in the form of the many and various exhibits. It's an experience you will never forget, and one visit is not enough! Photography is allowed and if you are at all a fan of aircraft, you will not be disappointed by the rare originals on display here. I look forward to our next event there in July 2024.

Good place to spend a few hours inside, learning about the history of aviation and southwest airlines. There is plenty of space for the family, nice kids area for the littles to play. Areas to sit down and eat a snack or your sack lunch. Really neat model airplanes on display as well as several "gently used" aircraft. They have an interesting exhibit on the sr-71 and a neat interactive map with the various paint schemes featured on the southwest airlines fleet over the years.

Amazing museum! I attended this on a field trip with a school and other parents. We all had a blast. The kids were excited to see the displays. They have a small play area for younger kids to enjoy as well. No food on site so bring a sack lunch, but there is fast food nearby. There is a souvenir shop as well. It is filled with all sorts of things from model planes and spaceships to astronaut food.

Great museum had a real fun time. There are some problems with the kid area though. It’s over near a few exhibits and the screaming brats make it so you have to practically yell at each other when your by the SR-71 trainer. Gave me a headache. The main room is great, quiet and peaceful. Might want to move the trainers over there. Amazing exhibits on early flight. The case with the Hindenburg exhibit was mind blowing!!! Highly recommended.

I took my gf for her bday to see Cold Play Tribute. It was absolutely worth it. Easter Egg** If you get there early you can do row B where row A isn't blocking you. There's 4 chairs set up in each corner. It was the perfect spot

Awesome experience for my son and nephew. The volunteers made this visit special for us. While we were touring, they would come over to give history on planes and flight and engineering. It was better than I could have expected. So much great history and information about the future. We really enjoyed ourselves.

My husband and I got to experience their speakers they had one day and these guys are retired astronauts and military and it was so refreshing to hear real life stories! I loved that they let the audience ask questions too and some of these questions were amazing! Will definitely go back to see more speakers!

We had our women EntrpreNewHer event there in the Auditorium and dinner with live band setup upstairs. They allowed us to cater our own for the event. The museum itself is amazing. How they hung all the aircrafts in the air is beyond me!

Love this place!!! I am a huge fan of aviation and there is much to know about the history of Love Field. In addition, you get to see static displays of military planes and museum pieces of different eras. Plan to spend 2.5 hours at least. Admission is not very much and worth the price to visit.

The Frontiers of Flight Museum is such an interesting find for my little one who loves airplanes. He screeches and alerts everyone that a plane is near anytime he hears one flying over us. Their parking lot is a few hundred feet from where planes are taking off and landing, which gave him plenty to see and do before even entering. On the east and west side of the building there are parked planes perfect for photos, also on the west side of the building are tables for lunch. Adult tickets are $12 and kids three and under are free. Inside there are model planes, full size planes from different eras to NASA landing pods. There is also a large play area for kids with a plane that has a slide on the back, air traffic tower, and a theater with Elmo speaking to a NASA astronaut. The Southwest airline area of the building contains lots of memorabilia and a fullsize plane with more memorabilia. Overall, I think we will be returning and checking out more of the museum. I do wish there was somewhere to grab a snack or a drink while Exhibits 4/5 Staff 5/5 Parking 5/5 Cleanliness 5/5

Loved this. We went in, only had 10 minutes, but still was a great place to spot at DAL. Being an avgeek, it certainly is a place for plane spotters and aviation enthusiasts alike to come here and spot at DAL for even a short bit, as Southwest is the main airline at Dallas Love Field

OMG! My 7 year old had such an AMAZING time today. I was not sure what to expect given the mixed reviews, and I'm very happy we visited this museum. We spent 2.5 hours and the first 45 minutes we were just walking around by ourselves until we walked into Tom. Tom is a retired aviation engineer and a volunteer guide at the museum and is quite a gem. He was consistently engaging the kids, asking them questions, giving them access to various exhibits so they can touch and experience to their hearts content. Which is how kids learn best and have fun. I too, thoroughly enjoyed my visit. A great place for kids and grown ups. Thank you very much Tom for your time, patience with my son (and other kids) and your willingness to share all the knowledge with every visitor to the Frontier Museum. Keep up the great work!!!

What a fun and interesting little gem!! Not huge by any stretch, but the perfect size for families with small kids because it's not overwhelming. Had some really great items, including articles from the Hindenburg as well as a moon rock. The staff were all super nice and very informative. And there is a huge play area indoors for the kids. Overall, it's just a great way to spend an afternoon.

Had an absolute blast! So much cool stuff to see and get very close to! The staff is warm and welcoming and the well of information they can share is amazing! We got to talking with one of the volunteers named Tom, freaking awesome guy! If you are on the fence about this place just go! Well worth it!

Stopped in here right before our flight at Love field airport. So glad we did! The attendee on duty said most people spend about an hour and a half to 2 hours there but we didn’t have that kind of time so we spent what we could which was about 30 minutes. Could have been there the full suggested time though! Very cool museum and the volunteers on duty were SO informative, we could have talked to them for an hour easy.
