Amazing sculpture museum with regular exhibits and news one around the year. Outside garden is beautiful with many sculptures. I use to visit at least once a year. Beverages and snack available onsite. Free access first weekend of the month. You may need at least 1h to visit.

Free since I'm military, but might also be free for Dallas residents. Not usually into abstract art, but they had some cool stuff. Especially the large sculptures outside.

Beautiful sculpture center - great variety of work presented in a gorgeous, inviting building. The staff was so nice and informative as well - really made the visit even better. Perhaps due to the snow/cold, the lawn out back was closed, but you could still see some of the work at a distance (we visited early February 2022).

My student discount got me in for free. I had a lovely experience in that Courtyard and the indoor exhibit. There were many sculptures and the general area was well kept. No trash anywhere, the bathrooms were also clean. It was a very classy atmosphere with with all the patrons getting along quietly. The staff was friendly. As an added bonus, I spotted some ducks also enjoying the facilities!

Excellent museum with indoor and outdoor exhibits. Well worth a trip and it's conveniently located across the street from the Dallas Art Museum. Rotating exhibits create a new experience with each visit. Slight admission fee.

What a beautiful place Nasher Sculpture Center is. My friend and I had brunch down the street and decided to stroll through since he had never been before. The exhibit inside was really unique and very diverse. At 3:30 they did an instrumental with the metal art components, that was really cool! There was a room that had an exhibit of sound that you definitely have to check out. It was a really dark room with focused lighting that tracks your movements makes a certain chord and melody. We definitely had a good time in there experimenting with the music. The outdoor garden is just exquisite. Beautiful pieces throughout the lawn, even a Picasso! They had several water features with a really relaxing soundscaping. It was a beautiful day and certainly a perfect into a relaxing Easter day. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Always a stop when I visit. I love the range of exhibitions, the Nasher Prize award, and the sculpture garden. They host great events, talks, and workshops. They are bringing the international art scene to Texas on a regular basis. It is a treasure.

As far as museums go, this was an amazing location to visit for my husbands 25th birthday. We both had an amazing time, all of the sculptures were so beautiful and the women at the front desk were truly such kind and outgoing people. My husband and I had gone to the downstairs viewing area and were just enjoying the art, standing a good 5 feet away from each piece and keeping our hands folded and down to ensure that the security guard in the room would feel no worry while we were there. Well, we had come to the last sculpture in the room when we were screamed at by the security guard in the room that we were not allowed to touch the artwork. Considering that there are about 30 signs we had seen saying the same thing as we walked around the room before we stopped at this sculpture, my husband replied that he was sorry, but we had not even come close to the piece. This security guard then proceeded to tell us that she had witnessed us herself touch the sculpture and that the cameras had caught us doing so. Feeling as though we were being singled out, I quickly said “We apologize and we will move on.” Again the security guard began to argue that she had seen us touch the piece. With that being said, it was truly disheartening to feel singled out in that way when we were simply trying to enjoy the exhibit. I understand that this association must prevent people ruining art by touching it, but to be singled out and yelled at across the room for something we had not even done is absurd. Naturally, we both left after this event as it made us feel completely unwelcome in the building, labeling us liars and blaming us for a thing we had not done. This truly impacted my view on this exhibit and the values that they hold close to heart.

I've been dying to make a visit and it finally happened. Smaller than I imagined, but yet still everything I'd hoped for. Everyone enjoyed themselves and we were able to get around with stroller. Small collection on view as a new exhibit is being installed. They are also working on lawn, so you're asked to stay off grass. Loved the sculptures and how they're a spaced out so it give you space to move about without running into others. Definitely recommend you make a spot. We were there for an hour and street parked for free.

This small, yet beautiful museum is such a hidden gem ! Gorgeous pieces to look at and the garden outdoors is such a wonderful treat. You could probably spend a good 45 minutes here, but my suggestion, go to the Dallas Museum of Art afterwards! It is literally across the street !

Tranquility shattered by a hoard of school children, their weary educationalists appeared drained and drawn as they shepherded their pupils amongst the works. The sound was like the evening chatter of a tree full of Grackles, inane, non germane. One hopes amongst the rabble a spark, however dim, may be lit. A fragment of reality absorbed in the absurd imaginary screen world occupied by our youth. This hope, a point of reflection in the welcome silence as they vacated each space. The silence cherished even more by its own virtue. This place is a rectangle of the world that deserves a moment of your life to visit.

We saw the amazing Harry Bertoia exhibit, which was so beautifully displayed. A range of his artistic skills were on display including monoprints, jewelry, and a variety of sculptures. We so enjoyed the sonombiant sound performance with the musical sculptures. What a treat to hear this impressive performance!! I highly recommend visiting this exhibit.

It was a great experience!!! The exhibits and the Christmas celebration were all timely. No, wait, and it was free entry.

One of my favorite museums, the Nasher was inspired by my other favorite DFW museum, The Kimbell in Ft. Worth. It’s a shame the next door luxury condo skyscraper ruined the James Turrell’s sky-space installation, “Tending Blue,” in addition to its glare. In spite of this, it’s still an incredible museum with original pieces spanning the modern sculpture canon. To quote Moira Rose,” Your senses have just been affronted by a Magdalena Abakanowicz,” - in the best way possible.

Nasher Sculpture Center is an absolute masterpiece in the heart of Dallas! The artistry exhibited here, both in the sculptures and the stunning architecture, is truly awe-inspiring. The outdoor garden is a serene oasis, providing a perfect backdrop for the magnificent sculptures. The curation is impeccable, showcasing a diverse range of artists and styles.

First time here as we was visiting from out of state. To top it off it was free for the day. Lots of art and not your normal type of art. It was definitely unique and quite awesome.

We love this museum especially the cafe and the outdoor seating. The current exhibit as I wrote this review is of Mark Di Suvero’s work which we love. I hope it never leaves!!

These are pretty good for the outdoor sculptures, The interior exhibits are great as well, and have their own uniqueness, and the overall walk-through should only take about 30 minutes to an hour to feel complete, and I suggest also checkout out the nearby area. I parked at a meter north of the DMA and walked through Nasher and Crow within about an hour and a half, and touched up on DMA. Nasher isn't free, so consider that when planning it

If you haven't been here you missing out. One of the hidden gems in Dallas. Great place to go on a date

  • 1/5 Justin S. 5 months ago on Google
There are literally no sculptures here. Sculpting requires skills. You SCULPT the material. This is an accumulation of art installations that look like they were based on drawings by toddlers. One “sculpture” was literally a pile of bricks…Would be zero stars but they were giving out hot cocoa. Just go to the Dallas museum of ACTUAL art. It’s right next door.
