This is a piece of History you must visit to fully experience. Ominous and eerie feeling to visit this historical site. The sky was sunny and the weather beautiful but the grief of loosing JFK lingers in the air. His death impacted so many for so many reasons. A husband, father, President was not just taken there but so much more. I think this is why you still feel it in your soul visiting this area. The area is clean well cared for. It is a safe place to visit if paying attention. Traffic is fast and abundant so take caution. I want to go back. See the muesum and experience the tour. I have read it is like taking a step back in time. A few of my favorite quotes…” The rights of every man are diminished when the rights of one man are threatened.” “Let us not seek the Republican answer or the Democratic answer, but the right answer. Let us not seek to fix the blame for the past. Let us accept our own responsibility for the future.” John F Kennedy

It was surreal being at a place that influenced American history so drastically. It is a very interesting, yet peaceful, memorial site. A must see if you have studied JFKs life.

Historic west end district n Dallas. Really glad to have been there to see where the history took place, very sad tragedy that took place there. Beautiful and well maintained park. Everything in the area has been kept as it was when JFK was shot. They have white x's painted on the road where each shot hit Everything in the area has been kept as it was when JFK was shot. They have painted white X on the road where each shot hit. Nice place to spend with your family to know more history.

It has not changed much since the assassination. It is an amazing feeling visit a site that I have seen in documentaries since I was a child. The city of Dallas has kept the grounds in good shape and you are free to roam the area. Be careful when crossing Elm Street, that is a major thoroughfare that people take to I-35.

Very nice to visit. A local gave me the run down of the JFK association along with theories and conspiracies. I tipped him and then continued to check out the area myself. I personally love exploring history through the present and it was definitely worth it because it was such a horrible piece of history that still has questions to this day.

One of the greatest historical experiences of my life; my stomach was in knots as I walked down the slope to the grassy knoll! I'd advise you get a guide to give you some info on things like the JFK Memorial which at first glance looks pretty mundane but you soon understand why.

We had hoped to visit the 6th floor museum but they were sold out as soon as we parked. We did walk around the historic plaza, which was educational too. If you decide to visit we advise you get the tickets online in advance. We walked to Market Street and had delicious gelato too.

The area was a lot smaller than I'd imagined, but I enjoyed visiting. Everything in the area has been kept as it was when JFK was shot. They have white x's painted on the road where each shot hit. It's a lovely area and worth seeing if you're a history buff.

It was nice and clean and well maintained. It was surreal when I drove under the bridge entering the plaza. I recognized it instantly. The area is small in person compared to the videos on TV where it appears large. The first shot was only 120 feet. Even though it is on a curve the angle of the building makes it more of a straight shot. They make it look huge in the editing. There is an older gentleman always sitting by the road in front of where Zapruder filmed. He is very informative and sells thumb drives with videos and information. There is no where close to eat. Don't go alone at night. Also be prepared for scammers and panhandling. It's best to ignore them because you will be bombarded by them.

When visiting downtown Dallas, a must is to visit Dealey Plaza where President Kennedy was shot in 1963. It is full of history and a lot of people information on the events that happened that day. Well worth the time.

A nicely organized story of the events leading up to the assassination as well as the time frame of and shortly after the event. There was a lot of reading for our 11 year old, but enough artifacts and artifacts to keep everyone interested. I do wish they'd have a quick 5 minute video about JFK prior to starting the museum tour to help set the stage for younger visitors who may know the name and event, but are unaware of the true significance of the event and family. We visited midweek before noon and it was very busy. I'd recommend spending a bit extra and parking in the covered ramp across from the Holocaust and Human Rights Museum as it jeeps your car out of the hot Dallas sun. It is a very quick and easy walk. Visit the gift shop!

Emotional experience. This is the area where JFK was assassinated. A lot of people were hanging out feeling the love and respectfully reflecting on that tragic day. Beautiful moments.

Walked around this historic place for about 40 minutes. There's tour guides around, but I'm not too sure if they're official or not. We didn't hire one, we self guided and read all the plaques along the way. Good place to stop at if you're in the downtown Dallas area.

It was great to see such a historical spot. Though extremely disappointed in the fact that the "tour guides" were vultures trying to sell you a souvenir paper. They take away from the solemnity of the plaza. I think they should be run off from this area.

Very solemn place. Unusual atmosphere given the reason for its existence. Very well presented. 4 star rating is for the simple fact there is an air of morbidity to it not for the presentation or quality of the museum.

It was interesting. Kind of like a living true crime episode. Unfortunately we did not confirm the hours of the museum. It was closed on Mondays. Walking around there are signs and plackards. I would go back to see the 6th floor museum.

Very interesting place, lots to see and a lot of details around the entire event if you're not very familiar. The place does sell out so you need to book online in advance, the price was very reasonable in late 2023. There is also an extra exhibit about the days before the event throughout Texas open till next year.
