We truly enjoyed the educational and informational visit to this museum. The entry price is a little steep, but it’s part of City Pass so don’t sleep on that deal. We spent a little over two hours and didn’t read every single thing. There’s a nice tribute for 9/11 and details of the days, weeks and months to follow. There’s a replica of the Oval Office which was neat to see. I really enjoyed the segment where Laura talks about true home side of the White House - they really made it feel like home which I have never really given much thought to. All in all, a really nice exhibit.

As far as presidential libraries go it's OK. The exact or replica of the oval office is great. They also have a piece from the World Trade Center towers. One of my favorite things to see at the presidential libraries are the gifts that are given while they're in office. It's worth seeing. They have a photographer in the oval office but make sure you get your own picture because they charge I believe it's $33 for a set of pictures so just get your own with your own camera.

Very interesting place, filled with tons of history. With any presidential museum, it's important to take everything with a pinch of salt. It paints the president in a positive light, and might skip over their failures. For example, I didn't see much about the lies of Iraq's weapons of mass destruction. Also, it's quite pricey compared to other museums in the area at $26. Plus $10 parking. A presidental picture is also $30-35.

I was in Dallas for the Christmas holiday, and I decided to check out the George W. Bush Presidential Center on the SMU campus. Prepare to go through an airport-style security check when entering the Center. There was no line, and I do not see the need to buy advance tickets. Tickets are $26, which I thought was a little steep - and parking is another $10. As you enter the lobby, you can see all of the gifts from foreign dignitaries and the American people to President Bush and First Lady Laura Bush, including jewelry, swords and even fancy dog bowls. The temporary exhibit is all about Freedom and includes an on loan copy of the Magna Carta as well as other key documents from global democracy. The permanent exhibition goes through President Bush's early life, the election vs. Al Gore, and then his two terms including a large section on 9/11 (with warped steel beams from the WTC). The most popular part of the exhibit is a replica of the Bush Oval Office, where you can actually have your picture taken at the White House Presidential desk. The docents are very helpful with their added information, and there is a gift shop as you leave.

Great library. It highlights all the major events of our nation during this era of our nation. Inside there is a section about 911. This museum is unassuming. Parking lot is small and across from the street and I have to circle couple of times using google maps. I am glad I went there even though I only had an hour to rush through.

The visit here was really cool. Got to read a lot about the former president and the different events that happened during his presidency. Walking through the center gives a perspective of what he went through during the duration of his time in office. Some things you may be able to relate to as for some of the events, I know for myself, I was still in school when they happened. The most touching tribute/ event is the World Trade Center attacks. Part of the south tower can be found here and it really brings back the memories of this horrific tragedy.

Although we are not big fans of the Bush presidency, we found this library and it’s staff particularly engaging. The library is very well staffed and there is always a guide about that can explain an exhibit or give you some insight into the background of a particular display. The recreated Oval Office was terrific as was the 9/11 exhibit. Overall a very worthwhile visit and one of the better presidential libraries we have visited. We give it four clams on the coveted Five Quahog Rating Scale.

Fantastic Presidential Library. Great look into Ws life and presidency. Awesome Docents and staff. Great restaurant. New for this year is the actual Situation Room so definitely check that out, only open on weekends as I understand. Also the replica of the Oval Office is the only one you can actually walk around in. Highly recommended. A credit to George and Laura Bush’s legacy.

If you've not been, you don't know what your missing. It was so much more than we expected and worth every penny! The oval office was my favorite part. It is an actual replica of the oval office in Washington D.C. We enjoyed getting our picture taken behind the desk and had a lot of fun with that. The displays of gifts received from different countries was very interesting. And a piece of the towers that fell on 9-11 is on display. So many things that reminded us of what it was like when the adults were in charge (not the recent orange clown.) had us missing the old days when our culture was united after 911. I had forgotten what a true dignified president GW Bush was for our country. It's best if you go on a weekday that is not busy, for easier parking and less crowds. Enjoy!

The George W Bush Presidential Library and Museum is such a cool museum! There is a replica of the classic Oval Office, a room where you can make presidential decisions that George W. may have faced, and at the time of this review until Dec. 31st this year, there is a special exhibit called “Freedom Matters” that features a pocketbook version of the Magna Carta, Emancipation Proclamation, a 1831 print of the Declaration of Independence, and much more!

This was a nice presidential library to visit- but not 5 star. Sadly, they charge for parking which I suspect has to do with the library‘s location in the City of Highland Park. Big shout out of praise for the landscaping, where an attempt to use native plants and work with the natural habitat was honored. I highly recommend standing in the foyer and watching the 360 surround movie that is showing above your head. It would be nice if there were some seats to sit on to watch the entire 360 movie. The full-scale replica Oval Office was cool and visitors were not rushed through it. Interestingly enough this presidential library did not show Christmas cards from the Bushes tenure in Washington DC. And sadly, only a few images of Christmas at the White House. The gifts they were given by head of states around the world was very impressive and beautiful. Do not pass by it too quickly. Exiting must be done through the museum shop, they must’ve taken hints from Walt Disney and other amusement sort of parks.

The reason for three stars is the price. $50 for myself and 12 year old. No AAA discounts. Easy to get to. Very clean and nicely laid out. When you have a tween in a museum you have maybe an hour tops. So that makes this $$$. Then the pics of you in the oval office are $33!! The goal here needs to be to get as many people in as possible to view this place. And that makes it unaffordable for most.

Just, amazing! Again, this should be available to every child. It's so educational and the facility with parking is top notch! Take your time enjoy every corner the layout flows perfectly. The Oval office was lovely. Great to hear/see details about the historical presidents and the objects in the room that they choose to encourage/validate them.

Such a wonderful museum and information center! This is a must visit location for everyone. Make sure to prepare yourself for a lot of reading when you get here though. There are also many shows/mini-shows that are played within this facility if you don’t want to read too much. There are many fun activities to do here too. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience in this wonderful place.

Very beautiful museum. Not a big as Bill Clinton's presidential library in Little Rock but still pretty nice! They have a detailed down to the names on the phone Oval Office replica for free photo ops. Also a piece of twisted metal from the world trade center. I was pretty impressed with President Bushes artwork which is on display here! He definitely has a talent! Everyone here was extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

The George W. Bush Presidential Center near SMU in Dallas, Texas is a spectacular museum, appealing to kids and adults. It truly is a great place to learn about history. There are exhibits on 9/11, including two steel remnants of the Twin Towers. There is a children's library showing books that First Lady Laura Bush recommends. There is a painting by Senator Ted Kennedy which he gave to Laura Bush on September 11, 2001. The piece de resistance is the full-sized Oval Office with all the furnishings and details that the president had during his time there. Visitors can sit behind the desk, on the cushioned chairs, or on the sofas. Visitors can look out the window, take pictures in there, and generally spend as much time as they like. I hope that future presidential libraries have an Oval Office replica which engages visitors as much as this one does. I got four people in for free because I had a certain level membership from another Presidential Library.

Good library and museum that details GWB early life all the way through his governorship, presidency, and then post-presidency. The museum is in timeline format with exhibits about the tax cuts, no child left behind, 9/11, Katrina, the war on terror, etc. They also have several exhibits in there detailing his personality, his dogs, and his family life. You have to pay for parking which I suspect is because it is on SMUs campus so be ready for that. Otherwise, it was a good time.

It would take a week to really see it all, so much to see. Parking was convenient, staff was professional and helpful, and the content was interesting and entertaining. Go if you get the chance. I especially enjoyed seeing some of President Bush's art. Cafe 43 was a little pricy but the food and service were excellent.

I was the first person to visit on the day i was here. visitors were fantastic in helping me get a ticket. there is a visiting exhibit for freedom documents. I skipped as I was so excited to see the library. I was a child during his presidency, and W. Bush is the first president I have memories of as a child, it was very cool to get to see all of the things that occurred while he was in office. The gift shop was clean and stocked and the lady working was helpful in assisting me in finding a location to stamp my Presidential Library passport.

The architecture of this place is really really nice, very well build and maintained. Pieces were displayed really well and you can find many interactive devices to help u see and learn. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly they would answer any question u can think of. I personally wasn’t a fan of the content and felt that it was short. However my favorite part was going through and interacting with the Oval Office replica.

We visited already a few presidential libraries and this one was a perfect balance, not too much info to get boring, enough video and interactive content. Very kind and informative staff, notable the volunteer at Oval office did a great job explaining details that adds to the experience. Also, realizing both 9/11 and Katrina happened under his watch, not easy task. Independent of your political views the center is a great place to understand more about US history and the democratic process and at times difficult decisions presidents have to make.

Really enjoyed visiting the Presidential Center on Presidents day. Went as a family with our 5 and 7 year old who really enjoyed sitting in “the Oval Office”, looking at the gifts given to the president, and learning about the Presidents family including the dogs. The best part was how friendly and knowledgeable ALL the guides were. Shout out to Red who really made the experience fun buy taking so much time to talk to our kids telling them a ton of interesting facts.
