An interesting visit. I've never been there before and the rooms are gorgeous! They have an amazing recreation of The Alamo Battle. I couldn't be more grateful with the staff, they explained me everything in the room and I learnt a lot.

At the State Fair of Texas and the Hall of State building is beautiful. You must go in and look up at the murals, ceiling and notice the beautiful lamps. The Tom Landry exhibit is pretty cool also.

Absolutely amazing restoration to its original beauty by Phoenix One. To say it is beautiful is not enough. For those as interested in architectural detail as history this restoration is a must experience.

I stopped by during the State Fair. It is a beautiful building and the staff/volunteers are very friendly and helpful. They also seem to actually care about what is being presented. The place was a bit crowded, but that is on me for coming during the State Fair of Texas (last Thursday or the fair), and it was still easy to move around. One exhibit was about Texas Tech, which I personally do not care for, but it had a lot of information and would probably be of interest to alumni. The Texas Rangers (not the team) exhibit, as well as the history of Texas, was very informative, and I enjoyed it. Even as someone who never before care about the Texas Rangers. Part of it seems a bit outdated, as one or two wordings in the Texas Rangers exhibit seemed a bit more sympathetic to the Confederacy and, as it says, the "Confederate cause," but it wasn't very overt. I'm not sure this is the type of place I would go back to, aside to admire the building itself and murals inside, but I definitely recommend it for someone.eone who has never been. Also, Google is asking me about the price. I got in free, but maybe it costs money outside of the fair?

The Hall of State Events is a stunning venue that provides a grand and regal backdrop for capturing memorable wedding photographs. The venue's ornate architecture, featuring towering columns and intricate details, provides ample opportunities for capturing stunning portraits of the bride and groom. The venue's grand ballroom, with its soaring ceilings and elegant decor, offers a variety of picturesque locations for taking beautiful indoor shots. As a photographer, I appreciate that the venue offers a wide variety of photo opportunities, from candid shots of guests enjoying cocktails in the lobby to romantic photos of the couple in the grand ballroom or surrounded by the beautiful architecture. The Hall of State Events' attention to detail, such as the intricate ceiling details and ornate chandeliers, adds a touch of grandeur and sophistication to every shot. Additionally, the venue's lighting is soft and warm, creating a cozy and intimate atmosphere that lends itself well to romantic and intimate photos. The ballroom's various features, such as the grand staircase and the beautiful decor, provide ample opportunities for capturing images with stunning natural lighting. From a logistical standpoint, I appreciate that the venue is well-equipped to handle photography needs, with plenty of space for equipment and dedicated areas for getting ready and staging shots. The staff at Hall of State Events are professional and accommodating, making it easy for photographers to capture the perfect shots without any distractions or interruptions. Overall, as a photographer, I highly recommend the Hall of State Events for its grand and regal backdrop, beautiful architecture, and attention to detail. It is an ideal location for capturing unforgettable images that will be cherished for a lifetime.

Absolutely beautiful space. Haven't been to the fair is ages, was so impressed by the architecture. I would definitely check this out early in the morning first thing so you can not have so many people in your photos. Also when the sun went down, what an incredible view. Must check it out!

Absolutely beautiful. As a Texan I was field with pride and fascinated by the historical items of the Texas Rangers Law Enforcement.. I got to view this while visiting the Centennial Exhibit of Texas Tech University at the State Fair of Texas! Wreck'em Tech

We had our wedding here. All in all, it was a great experience. The site is well taken care of and the staff are kind, but not very knowledgeable. If you're in the mood for a historical and gorgeous tour, this is the place to be.

If you are in the area, it is worth a visit. I plan to go back to see the Alamo exhibit now that the State Fair is over. It would probably be a cool venue for a corporate event.

I didn't know this place existed in Dallas. It's an impressive venue. The recreation of the Alamo battle in miniatures is awesome.

Pictures can not fully capture the awe inspiring ability of the Hall of State. Nearly every surface is covered in some sort of art form or important Texas history memorabilia. Don't miss the Alamo diorama (can you spot the 1 cat?! ) worth it!

The Dallas Mavericks had an exhibit called Mavs Vault at the Hall of State. It was super interactive. 42 years of history including the championship trophy 🏆. In the theater room downstairs they were even showing a highlight video of the history of the Dallas mavericks. It was a fantastic location to host this event.

This is one of the most awe inspiring historical buildings in Texas. Inside and out this building oozes TEXAS. This is my 2nd favorite building in Texas other than the Alamo! Very unique. They usually have some king of exibit during the State Fair Of Texas. If you can visit during non-fair times and see the building without the exibits, you can really appreciate the 1930's architectural design and construction of the art deco era. Different rooms represent different areas of the state and materials from that area are used in the construction of each room.

Don't be misleaded by the staled fachade of this building. The Dallas historical society has done an outstanding job preserving the interior. It's probably one of the most beautiful historical places in Dallas. I hope one day they can fix the fachade.

What an interesting place. Had a company holiday party one night and coincidentally saw the Indie Fashion show the next night. Parking isn't great but overall we were happy we went to both events.
