BEAUTIFUL!!! brought the kids here to learn about butterflies and they had so many to look at!! They do butterfly release at 12p but unfortunately there were not enough to do a whole show so instead they offer special tickets to release one at a time. It was still very nice to walk though and observe. There are picnic areas and a playground. Lovely grass areas and benches to rest. The snake house also had turtles that were very active and a huge koi pond. I can imagine many weddings happening here! I can not wait to come back.

Very peaceful place to visit. It's only $10 for adults and $8 for children. They have a nice outside garden as well including a snake house. I would recommend going in the spring or summer when flowers are more likely to be growing and colorful. The actual butterfly museum is really cool and they have a gift shop as well. As any gift shop it's kind of expensive but does have some cool items.

So much fun! For the price you get what you pay for and more. Had a truly amazing time here. I went to see the butterfly garden but they ended up having so much more. I also met this amazing friendly cat who was wondering around.:) make sure to say hi to him for me if you end up visiting!

Had the awesome opportunity to visit the TD Gardens. Such a beautiful, peaceful location. A great place to relax and enjoy. The gardens allow a lot of roaming around and seeing the various plants and garden 🐞 🐝🦋. Noticed a wedding being set up. Would be a nice spot for a wedding and photos. The butterfly exhibit was dope! Very calming and interesting. The Atlas Moths are amazing to view! Enjoy!

A peaceful and beautiful place to visit. Our family, including the little ones, really enjoyed seeing the variety of flowers and plants in the gardens, even getting to see some flowers we had never seen before. As we walked through the butterfly house, many brightly colored butterflies flew all around us, making it the highlight of our visit. Very amazing to see and experience. And, of course, our kids loved the outside play area. We would definitely recommend visiting if you are in the area.

What an amazing place! Think dallas arboretum but on a smaller scale. Plus an indoor butterfly garden, which was amazing in itself. There were so many butterflies that I've never seen before and giant moths bigger than your hand. We loved walking around the gardens and there's a great playground (with picnic tables) and sandbox for the kids too. There's a very small reptile house as well.

An absolutely educational place to visit. My three year old enjoyed her visit at this place. It is remarkable to see butterflies and its habitat. Truly a sight to view. Perfect for educational tour.

This place is so worth the time and the 10$. Take the family or just your date to this place... also a great place for proposing. They have ponds of water scattered in the gardens outdoors. The secret garden is fun to find and they even have a snake house . But the butterfly house it it’s focal point. They are everywhere and they also have a cocoon window so you can see them coming out. They release the newly hatched butterflies so you can watch that also. I will go back! They offer Military discount 5$. So on a summer day go there and check it out. Masks are to be worn inside. They have snacks and drinks you can buy inside and also a gift room. Just remember it’s a small place but the butterfly room is two stories and the outside gardens are larger. A fun chill place for all ages.

Winter time is a bit depressing outside, flowers are gone outside toilets are amazingly full with wild life and dirty. But inside it was nice and clean, warm and humid. I would recommend to wear something long full covering the body as I got mosquito bites everywhere up to a point that I had to leave urgently. I did saw some cool stuff about butterflies and their life and it is nice and beautiful inside I did expect it to be bigger thou, a lot bigger.

Texas Discovery Gardens is an enchanting and charming oasis tucked in South Dallas. We got married on the circle lawn, the weekend before the Texas State Fair started, and we couldn’t have picked a better venue. Teresa took care of all the little details, making us feel welcomed and informed each step of the way. The mix of shade and sun set the perfect backdrop for our ceremony. We were inspired by the butterfly vivarium and scheduled a butterfly release right after the ceremony. It was a beautiful touch that made the sentiment of our day intimate and special. Thank you TDG team!!

Great local attraction. Just be sure to go when flowers are in full bloom and weather isn't so hot. It's a quick little attraction to enjoy with the family.

We love Texas Discovery Gardens so much that we we’re married here. Teresa Choate did an amazing job coordinating - she really knows the venue like the back of her hand. She also shined in a moment of adversity and held strong, helping us figure it out. The gardens are beautiful all year long. We highly recommend it for your next event or just an afternoon with the family.

The butterfly gardens are incredible with so much variety. Our son had a blast on the playground. It is made of all sustainable materials and is one of the most unique playgrounds I’ve ever seen. The snake shack has really cool reptiles. And the whole thing can be experienced in 1-2 hours.

🦋 Very magical place. Come explore and be sure to visit the butterflies while you’re there. The staff is very knowledgeable and polite. If you’ve never been here then I highly recommend it.

Great place to visit. Walked thru the garden and saw many different types of plants and flowers. Enjoyed the butterfly garden as well. Many different types of butterflies flying around. The were also a couple grouse strolling around on the ground. The trains were fun also. 2 small towns set up with trains running around.

This was an amazing find in the city. Green, beautiful and absolutely gorgeous. There is a butterfly garden, snake house (which was closed when we went there), secret garden, hummingbird gardens and so much more. If anything i was hoping to see quite a bit more butterflies in the butterfly garden but it was an enjoyable experience nevertheless. Overall a really good botanical garden to spend time with your family. They have a gift shop and vending machines on site as well. Please carry cash as machines do not accept card.

This place was absolutely beautiful! All the animals were so cool to look at. The butterflies were so gorgeous. The gardens are well kept and pretty as well with a beautiful water fountain. The snake exhibit was cool too. Would definitely come back here!

A great place to spend some time, my kids enjoyed the exhibits and we loved seeing all the butterflies! 🦋 although the squirrels we got to see everywhere might have been my son's favorite part 😂

Hot, but lots of shade. Inside of a nice and air conditioned. The Aquarium next door is reopened too. Loves the butterflies.

The butterfly house was just magical. There was a good variety of butterflies. There is two levels and is stroller friendly. 🦋🐛🦋 The garden areas were very beautiful and had lots of benches to enjoy the view. Some paths are paved with small rocks. There is a playground with picnic tables. 🌼 The model trains area was super cool. Trains only run on Saturday and Sunday. 🚂 Don’t forget to check out the snake house and small creatures near the entrance and gift shop. Can’t wait to visit again! ✨They offer summer camp for the kiddos!✨

such a beautiful and peaceful time, my first time going ever and it was definitely worth it, go at least one time in your life you won’t regret it!

The butterflies were bountiful! There are so many different varieties to see. However, the place needs some TLC and some updating. We picked a hot day to go, and a cafe would have been great.
