This is one of my favorite places to hang out and grab a drink with someone. They have indoor and outdoor seating, and just a really great vibe with a beautiful view that overlooks the Dallas skyline. I often feel it’s really hard to find somewhere they can just sit and chat with someone and this is the perfect place. They make really good drinks with their Marg being one of my favorites!

The rooms had comfy beds, choices of pillows and very clean. Breakfast is reasonably priced and delicious with nice options. Specialty coffees were great. The staff was amazing and friendly especially Stacey the vallet, he left us feeling happier than when we arrived and went above and beyond.

I recently stayed at the Canopy for a mother/daughter stay with a group of friends and everything about our stay was above and beyond. We all enjoyed food and drinks on the rooftop as a group which was the perfect setting for relaxing conversation and capturing photo memories with a great view. The staff was so friendly and accommodating to both adults and the girls who loved it and felt like they were receiving VIP treatment. Our double queen room was comfortable, clean and the nespresso maker was perfect for the necessary quick, delicious cup of coffee to get going in the morning. We all enjoyed breakfast in the lobby which was tasty, and again friendly and attentive service. Checking out and ordering my car through the text link from the valet was seamless, and Stacey who loaded my bag and sent us off is one of those people who just eludes joy and can't help but put you in a good mood. Lastly, after getting home, I thought I had left jewelry in our hotel room and the front desk was so kind and got a hold of housekeeping to help check the room right away. I ended up finding my rings at home and called back to let them know, but I wanted to add how much it meant to me to be able to talk to someone right away and have them take a look. My daughter and I will cherish our fun stay, and I look forward to visiting again in the future. Thank you!

We’ve stayed twice at The Canopy. The attention to detail is perfect. Ask for something, it will be delivered. The rooms have perfect lighting. Everything within a hand’s length away. The area has a busy day/night life and with all the pet friendly venues in the area you are sure to give a good knuckle shuffle to a furry friend. Rooftop bar deserves the rating it gets. Downsides.. Parking. Street parking is really the only option. Valet is great. Ask for Stacy. Wow! Did he take care of us…. Just plan on a valet park. It’s the easiest.

Very nice and comfortable hotel The little touches from the welcome bag to the bellman who is always there was a good morning, the rooms are big and well furnished, mine had a balcony which was nice. The Upside bar is very nice too, the food is good and its nice atmosphere. Would stay again for sure

The hotel itself was fantastic. Everything was very clean and the attention to detail was excellent. The entire staff was very helpful. Our tv stopped working at 9 pm and by 9:05, an engineer was knocking on our door and had it fixed in 2 minutes. The front desk receptionists, valet staff, and the restaurant employees were all excellent. One tip I would leave for future guests is the valet is worth it. We parked on the street just outside the hotel to save money and our car got broken into. I know the hotel can’t do anything about that but the valet staff grabbed a vacuum and cleaned the broken glass for us. Would definitely stay here again.

The staff here is truly awesome! I've been here twice now and both times, excellent service. The food has been wonderful, I got to meet her both times and she is so pleasant I know the food is made with love. The rooms are nice, quiet and comfortable. The roof top bar is a cool experience but I have to say above all from the second you pull up to park, are greeted at the desk, served by the staff, they all make you feel special

We were really looking forward to give this place an excellent review. Upon our arrival everything was as expected if not more. From curb service, front desk. rooftop was fabulous bartenders were awesome, room itself was clean and had a perfect view. Unfortunately the next morning there was a fire alarm test. Which we are totally understand that those things must happen and we are happy that they making sure they stay up to code. However the way the situation was handled was very unprofessional and actually very disappointing. Our PA system in our room did not work so we never heard it was a test. Therefore like anyone else we took it very seriously, got up, got dressed walked downstairs from the seventh floor. As we exited the building in the rain came around the building into the main lobby only to see people enjoying their coffee, breakfast and working on their computers. As we asked the front desk gal if everything was OK she replied “it was only a test”we proceeded to tell her that our PA system in our room didn’t work and we didn’t know it was a test. There were two other couples telling her the same thing she dismissed all of us and said once again “it was only a test and everyone downstairs heard it” as she continued to do her welcome baggies. She showed zero empathy did not apologize pretty much she did nothing. Her attitude tainted the whole experience.

Great location, walking distance to great restaurants and activities. The hotel itself has a beautiful rooftop bar and dining area looking out onto the Dallas downtown skyline. We had great service from the valet person to the staff inside. Thank you!! We will be back.

Beautiful hotel with exceptional service. Rooms were clean and up to date. I especially appreciated the individually wrapped loufa and coffee mate at the complimentary coffee area. Food was delicious too. Thank you!!

Great location, rooms are satisfactory, food is really good for hotel and the staff is friendly. Unfortunately, room service is a bygone Era. While I understand labor issues they would not take order over phone. You have to go down and order, then wait. Other than this it's a 4 star. It is priced as a 4 star.

This was one of my best hotel stays in a long time! The staff is helpful and I really appreciated the macarons I received at check in! Valet is super fast and professional. Rooms are modern and clean with lots of nice touches like the robes and separation between bathroom /dressing and bedroom areas. Central to everything without being in a corporate downtown environment - I loved it and will return!

I come to Dallas for work on a regular basis. I’ve had difficulty finding a place to stay that I like and can afford. I liked the Canopy Uptown a lot! Comfy bed and pillows, I LOVE the espresso coffee machine. What a treat to have this in the morning. There’s a small drawer style refrigerator, but no microwave so if you have leftovers, you can’t reheat them. There is filtered water and ice on every floor except 6th so stay on any floor but 6th if you like the convenience of having it on your floor. The filtered water sure saves you from having to buy a bunch of water if you’re the thirsty type. My draperies didn’t close all the way so it was lighter than I normally like but I travel with an eye mask that darkens everything for me and it didn’t matter. The water pressure though, WOW!!! That’s what great water pressure is supposed to be like! I wanted to stay for hours but couldn’t. Love a nice, hot, powerful shower. Stay on the courtyard side if you like things quiet. Otherwise you’ll hear trains all night. Haven’t tried the bar or rooftop bar/restaurant, but will on my next stay. Elevators are super fast too. They have valet parking so know that and know it’s an additional charge. Great restaurants nearby as well. I’m happy to have found this place and will stay every time I’m in Dallas for my projects.

First, I have to say that the man that greets us to Valet Park at this hotel always makes us smile. We always look forward to seeing Stacy when we go to Dallas. This trip was for a family funeral and my husband was not feeling well. The staff was so helpful, especially Sharon (in the lobby restaurant) went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed. I was so grateful for her help. Everyone on staff is kind and accommodating. The bar on top floor is outstanding too. Our server was Ian and he did a great job. We were stressed but he helped make our evening enjoyable. We love the rooms here. the view and having a balcony makes it feel bigger. We will be back for sure.

I was in town for a conference but wanted to stay away from the downtown area near some walking paths so I decided to stay at the Canopy. I was very impressed from the time I walked in, they were able to get me checked in quickly and up to my room. My room was clean, quiet and big with a great view of the city. The hotel is less than a quarter mile to at least 5 different restaurants and about 15 minutes from the Katy trail which is a very safe walking/running/biking trail. The hotel is also about a 4 minute walk from the Uptown DART station. I would stay again.

Clean and spacious room with a balcony, unfortunately the safe and telephone weren't working but we did without. The location was great and the rooftop was a great addition. I did think that this place had a pool but it doesn't. There's a lounge and a bar at the entrance and valet as well.

Have stayed here several times. Rooms are very clean. Love the rooftop bar. Would be even better with a few extra servers but overall it is great. Love the location too. Pricing is high so points usually work out better here.

This hotel was great! The rooftop bar and views were amazing. There is a downstairs bar as well which is also just as nice. Breakfast was solid with a buffet-served style menu with freshly made eggs, bacon, sausage and potatoes. There were other options of waffles etc depending on the day. Of notable mention and who truly made the stay great was the concierge, Stacey. He had the most amazing attitude. He took great care of our vehicles, was very polite, inviting and truly just added that extra to our stay! Thank you, Stacey! If you are reading this, You are awesome and we greatly appreciated your hospitality!!

I have mixed feelings about this hotel because of two small things that made a big impact on me. Here's the good first. Good: -Very, very clean -Super nice staff. One of them noticed my toddler frowning and rushed to offer her a glow stick. It worked! She was smiling again in seconds. -Love the balcony option. The view was great! -The rooftop bar was cool. Bad: -The cable on the TV was messed up leaving us very few channels to watch without a working TV guide and they didn't have smart TVs which seems pretty lame for a hotel at this price point. I've had nicer TVs at a Garden Inn. This seems petty but I really wanted to watch TV. -The bed was so hard that I woke up 6 times in the night uncomfortable and clutching at pillows to tuck under myself.

Fantastic Hotel for the money! Great location with dozens of restaurants and shops all in walking distance. Room was very clean and the bed was excellent. Also the Valet Stacy was a gem, super kind and gave fantastic info and ideas. Will definitely be my go to place to stay in Uptown.

The hotel was great! Clean & accommodating. The rooftop bar is awesome! Terrific views and good prices on the drinks. It was chilly outside, but the outdoor heaters and fireplace made it comfortable!

My expectations were a little high being in Uptown. The valet was the sweetest man and helped with luggage and directions, he was the most helpful person at the entire hotel. Nothing outstanding about the front desk, just run of the mill. I can say that this hotel had the most comfortable beds I have ever used in a hotel. There was no microwave in the room which sucked. The hotel is loud. you can hear people parting in the apartment across the street and any movement in the halls or neighboring room. Trying to even get a towel from housekeeping was frustrating due to language barrier but the ladies were sweet and helpful as much as possible.

Leaving a review here as well as Upside since my contract was with Hilton Hotels and not specifically Upside. I was set to have my first baby shower here with friends and family flying in town on Labor Day weekend. I had everything confirmed with a contract and had my food and beverage menu selected. Was contacted 4 days before my event and told the AC was not properly working and they would need to move my group. They don’t have any additional space so we’re just going to dump me in the hotel lobby which is completely different vibe than Upside it’s a darkroom with no view and a check in desk. They knew about this a week before my event and didn’t inform me until it was too late for me to even have a back up plan. Not one call from management, no offer to help secure another venue or offer to take the catering I paid for offsite. The entire situation was handled very unprofessionally and with complete disregard to the customer on the other side of their decision. As a first time mom trying to co host something special for my friends and family to be thrown into that stressful situation with 4 days to figure it out on a holiday weekend cause so much unbelievable stress. I even gave them a chance to contact me to make it right and still have not even received a call or email from that team. I would avoid any meetings with this hotel they had to move several other corporate groups to the lobby as well due to the AC issues they knew about ahead of time. Was told they even had to shut down several nights due to excessive heat.

I really wanted to love our one night stay here, but some significant issues left us unable to feel that way. Pros - - Valet service is EXCELLENT! Extremely friendly, kind and accommodating. I cannot recall the name of our valet when we stayed, but that man can work with people unlike anyone I have ever seen. What an absolute gem! - Stylish & comfortable! Great aesthetic and design, timeless and modern without being overly style. Bed was delightful and AC in room worked perfectly! -Plenty of space! Our room had lots of storage surfaces and areas, very well done! -Excellent location! Located centrally near plenty of resources. -Very dog friendly! Love the nearby dog park and the strip of grass immediately outside of the front entrance for taking pets for walks. -Staff! Overall very friendly and helpful! Cons - - No. Hot. Water. In the less than 24 hours we were here, we never had true *hot* water...it only just got warm enough to be tolerable for a REALLY quick shower, and nothing more. We could not figure it out and did not have time to ask the front desk to change rooms or to have someone try to fix it. Huge disappointment considering just how muggy it was outside resulting in us needing to shower several times during our stay. -Dirty room. Visible stains on carpet and chaise lounger, splatter marks on floor around the toilet. Unfortunately, I dropped something in the shower that got lodged between the piece of tile that covers the drain and the wall...I had to pry that cover up and it was my biggest regret because it immediately became apparent that housekeeping DOES NOT clean that part and it was repulsive with all of the hair and goodness knows what else lodged in it and under it. Nightmare material. -Low Quality Fixtures & Finishes. Handheld shower did not stay in place and kept spinning and falling each time we turned it on...resulting in getting soaked while fully dressed. Sliding door between bedroom and bathroom/entry area seems to stick/be jammed and was very difficult to maneuver. -Refrigerator Did Not Refrigerate. Loved the concept of the pull-out/drawer fridge, however, did not love that it did not keep our items truly cold...only just barely cooler than room temp. We did not feel safe eating the leftovers we had stored in because it was so "warm". -Front Desk Unable to Meet Request. We requested a room as far away from the elevator as possible, and instead were given the room closest to it. Very light sleepers and did not enjoy this aspect. Overall a decent stay, but maintenance and housekeeping need to step it up in my opinion. We hope to visit in the future and be able to entirely enjoy our stay in each aspect!

I have stayed at this place multiple times for business trips and it much better than some other 3 star hotels. Rooms and lobby is clean and inviting. Rooftop bar is great and so is the downtown skyline view from there. Breakfast does need some work though. overall I will be staying here whenever I am visiting Dallas uptown.

Nice hotel. Attentive and professional staff. Rooms were good, but definitively can tell the gently worn-over-time feel. Could be a little better maintained as some doors needed maintenance. Lots of options within walking distance.

It's not the Hilton's fault but public/self parking is horrible. May be your best bet to valet. Nice relaxing atmosphere, great place to relax in the lobby and avoid the Texas heat and grab a drink. Room to bar, and close to everything nice and 75.

Excellent. Attended a graduation party here. Michael the food and beverage manager made sure the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Omar, the waiter was attentive and made sure everything was flowing smoothly. He is a great employee and someone a company should value. Employees like Omar are hard to come by. 10/10 for this hotel.

Great hotel with an incredible view of the city skyline. I've stayed in hundreds of hotel rooms but nothing as nice and as clean as this one. The staff is also very friendly and there are tons of shops and restaurants within walking distance. We will be back.

we stayed two nights and had a positive experience. the staff was helpful and the breakfast was yummy ($15/person, half price for kids). room was clean and beds were comfy. stacey the valet guy was super friendly and helpful - we love him and would come back just for him! parking was valet ($30/night) or street parking.

The rooms were spotless, location was great and the fruit infused water in the lobby was a nice touch. So what made the stay memorable. The attitude of the staff, especially the gentleman working the door. Always wished us good morning and welcomed us back in the afternoon. Top notch!

Great staff. Especially Stacey the valet/ porter. Actually everyone was friendly and helpful. Rooms comfortable with great beds. Location is very cool. Easy walk to many eateries and shopping. Rooftop bar fantastic with overlook to downtown. Nice outside seating too. Very comfortable hotel with modern conveniences that are warm and pleasant. Really well thought out planning!!! We will be back.
