This is the best reserve I have visited. It's suitable for gathering and doing alot of activities. The playground is very big and includes many games for the kids to enjoy. There are lots of barbecue facilities available there. The lake and nature are perfect and you can see many types of birds near the lake. Toilets are also available. Really it includes all the things you need. I advise you to visit this beautiful place.

The geese are very friendly here, my 4yr old hand feeds them and they are gentle with her. When you tell them it's all gone they actually know and will waddle off. It's pretty impressive for geese. The ducks will eat duck pellets don't feed them bread. The water quality at the moment, Dec 2021 isn't too great. It would be great for the council to skim the lake and do a clean up to avoid the algae issue occurring. It's a very popular family spot, always a family picnic and kids running around so it would be great if the council made it a priority to upkeep the lake so the fishing can be better quality.

One of the best parks for kids and adults alike. Variety of equipments, slides, swings, ziplines, play area for the disabled, and nice nature strips for walks. bbq area can get busy on weekends and public holidays. There's an ice cream van usually near the car park for quick snacks.

Its a hidden gem. Nice and well managed playground next to a beautiful lake. Corporation is doing a great job maintaining it. However locals need to play their part as well. I have seen many groups of boys and girls and families gathering or partying nearby and making a huge mess. Beer cans, bottles, wrappers and garbage is lying around in bushes and trees. Council can only do so much and locals need to own and maintain this b place.

Nicely hidden park with a big lake and plenty of great picnic spots. There's an outdoor gym, a few bbq places, some wildlife, a big playground and during peak times, there's an ice-cream truck. There's also a big carpark on one side of the reserve.

I have been going to this park since I was a kid. It has improved a lot. They have installed a new playground and toilets. great place for a bbq or to walk the dog, or bike ride along the trails. Few problems I see are the water is polluted. It is storm water drain off so that’s understandable I guess? It doesn’t always feel safe around the tunnel/back area of the park going towards Glenroy. Too many people off-leashing their dogs there. It’s right next to a kids playground, a lake with many distracting birds, & there are other dog walkers. There’s also a disability centre nearby and they bring people to the park. Don’t.unleash.your.dog. There’s actually park directly across the street for off leash walking. Go there instead. Many people litter and leave discarded food everywhere. Especially bread for the birds. Don’t do it. Put your leftovers in a container and take them home. Take your bones, seed husks stale bread etc and put them in one of the bins. Keep the place clean and safe for the next person who comes by.

This place is so surreal I was so happy when I stepped down on to the sand it’s a place you just cannot describe in words you need to see and feel for your self it’s sooo peaceful I was dreaming when I was there I had to pinch myself to make sure it was real I’m going back on Saturday.

Local reserve with ample of space for picnic, bbq or relaxation. There is something for everyone to enjoy, big playground for the kids and spacious green areas for adults. The lake with its ducks is a coolness for an eyesight. One growing aspect is that toilets need to be cleaned frequently.

Great place to have BBQ. Kids will enjoy the playground which has lot of options. Can become crowded in the afternoon, and desks can be hard to find..so bring your own mats or chairs.

Great playground! Our two year old loved everything about it, and there are plenty of walking tracks around the lake if you feel like going for a walk.

Crowded, the kids didn't enjoy the playground, there wasn't any swings. Very boring & dirty users. I cannot understand why people have to leave their rubbish on the grass instead of putting it in bins right next to them. We made sure we took our rubbish home.

Very nice park for family gatherings but the main problem is there were some families who left their kids unsupervised and those kids attack other kids that is very disturbing for us as a parent. May those people get some sense to act well in public areas.

Beautiful place ...Lake walk around, Cycle, Open Gym. Also has flock of birds : Ibis, ducks, Swan, SeaGul, Pigeons, Magpie etc.

Beautifull huge space park , alot of playing equipments has been installed. The lake view with walking track is beautifull n breezy and i like one think the trees are huge and give a good shed , alot of familes were spending good time in bbq with picnic get togeather. My kids always enjoy this park's tour.

We hired these guys to help us clean out an old storage space, and they did a great job. They were fast, efficient and friendly. They even offered to help load the items into our cars and helped us carry heavy items! Thanks!

I give it 3 stars because the people who live in the area don't care about environment at all, rubbish everywhere in the lake i seen floating baby prams motorcycle and rubbish bags full of rubbish in the lake, i even seen a sheep head near the bridge, it shows you how bad and selfish people are that live near that area. I used to go there when I was young, in 1997 99 and it was clean water plenty of fish, now the water is covered with some green slimey weed, no fish at all is disgusting to even be there. Now the kids playground is good plenty of slides swings and other activities. Is people like this will make the vic governmen impose fees for entry in the future, and the people who dump rubbish in the lake are the ones who will complain.

There are facilities here, but it just feels... A bit unkept. There is still water quality warning signs up - so no fishing, swimming, dog swimming. Personally, I'd say edwardes park is much better.

There's BBQ spots, but very limited. Park itself is very good, green and enjoyable, the lake is beautiful. Access to the park is easy but is only single lane going in and single lane going out. Parking is ample for an evening, never seen it full. The walk trail is pretty specially in autumn.

This playground is pretty awesome for toddlers who need to move and use up some energy! Adults can follow quietly behind if at all worried. There are heaps of tables for bbqs, and toilets on site. Great for a birthday party. The lake nearby has ducks and swans. Nice place for a walk. Will definitely be returning back. Heaps of parking too. Nice little gem.

It's a nice park with a lovely play area and lots of green areas where you can sit and have a picnic. It's not too big to be able to have a nice stroll.

Its a good place to visit with your kids but sometimes it is dirty as the people in the vicinity are habitual of leaving their garbage in public places.

Easy parking, Lovely place to walk your dog, large areas to explore, wild life is amazing, bins (seemingly not enough) water & toilets available, many bbq areas, cool playground for children. Visited on a monday, & quiet disappointing to see the disgrace left from the weekend. I witnessed 3 huge garbage trucks arrive to clean up what people left behind.

Love this playground. Many types of sensory integration plays that are appropriate for different ages. Will visit again definitely.
