An overated lounge. Access to the Qantas First Lounge Melbourne is quite simple: the passenger needs to be flying First Class on a Oneworld carrier, or have Platinum Status with a Oneworld carrier. I was traveling business class on Qatar Airways and enjoy Platinum status with said carrier. This lounge is considered the highest category for Qantas and Oneworld guests. I spent about three hours at this lounge, long enough to order a meal at the restaurant, take a shower and relax before my Qatar Airways flight. Amenities: This lounge offers showers and bathroom suites, and a Spa area with complimentary treatments ( which I didn't use). Full-service restaurant area with bar. I think it's worthwhile to mention that I had to go to the restaurant area to request service. A couple of minutes later, I ordered a menu item. The food (Korean brisket) was tasty and visually appealing, but not extraordinary. There was a different person serving drinks and she was lovely and attentive. The restaurant staff performed their duties in a perfunctory manner. Having mentioned that I have Platinum status with Qatar Airways, this Qantas FC lounge is fairly average compared to the gorgeous FC lounge in Doha, for Qatar Airways (Al Safwa). The food at this Qantas lounge is average and the facilities are average. In the lounge section, I enjoyed the separate seating areas.

Very fast services at the check-in for the airport and at the Qantas lounge reception staff was very helpful. Very relaxing, everything was very neat and tidy. It's a really good view of landing and taking off flights. There is also a shower and more space if you have a longer staying time. So many choices of food and drinks also available.

An oasis to relax in before a flight. The spa was exceptional, particularly the hot rocks treatment, followed by a great lunch and choice of champagne. Better than any in-flight experience. Worth getting here more than a few hours before your flight if you have the opportunity.

Great seeing the lounge almost back to normal. Always the best and friendly service. The menu was attractive and had the good ole famous Bircher muesli and some Eggs Florentine. Looking forward to future visits. Unfortunately the spa was not open in the evening so will have to try another time for the back massage with stones ☺️

Nice lounge & great service however, not as classy as the Singapore first lounge. Really enjoyed the brisket, also the pavlova was to die for!

Really look forward flying internationally just because of this lounge...and heading to the airport early. Love the restaurant vibe, top notch service and the choice to drinks.

The entrance and interior wasn’t as nice as Qantas first in Sydney but the service and food was the same. 20 mins complimentary massage was a nice touch!

I had the pleasure of having the First Lounge as a guest yesterday before a flight home yesterday. I understand that not everyone can get in, but if you do get the chance, take full advantage of it. The food was excellent and the service was of an excellent standard. Qantas and Melbourne International Airport ought to be proud of the service that's offered here.

Professional and friendly service shown by all staff. The double doors to the toilers were creaking a little too loud on my visits thats why I gave it 4 stars. Tried their sit down breakfast and massage, both excellent and better than the domestic business/club lounges. Tip: park yourself at the apron window seat recliners for a great view!

Found the lounge quite empty (compared to Sydney) which was great to relax prior to our flight to Bali. The staff were very courteous and provided us everything we asked for. The Neil Perry menu and meals were delicious, especially the Signature pavlova with raspberries and figs, and loved the cocktails. Great service - thank you.

Excellent service, great food and beverage selection. Didn't try the day spa but have heard very good things from friends.

Very quiet.. Well that's apart from the children that parents forget to school their rug rats to be quiet, or maybe take them to the business lounge or a playground.. The first lounge has great service as you would expect, food is if a high standard and lots to choose from in the liquor cabinet.. It opens at 5am and I was the only one there for about 40 mins..

Friendly people. Nice selection of a la carte food. One of the better lounges I have been so far.

A phenomenal lounge. The à la carte breakfast was amazing and service was efficient. I was on QF 69 thru to Delhi and the front desk staff gave me frequent updates on the status of my flight.

Good to be back after 3 years! Ordered the salt and pepper squid, cheese burger and club sandwich. They were all great, very tasty.

Although it’s smaller than the one in Sydney the service is to the same high standard, the lounge has great views over the airport and plenty of food choices.

Always exceptional. That's it. Nothing else need be said. If you have access, just enjoy all the lounge has to offer.
