Great place for hanging out with friends or families. You can order your typical pub foods such as steak and parma. They taste great. The staff are friendly too.

We are regulars at the Woodlands. I think the attentive and friendly staff are the key differentiator, but we also appreciate the fact there are several different seating areas. Beer range is pretty good and food has been marvellous for the many years we have been patrons. Really like the interesting decor.

The Woodlands is such a good pub. Super friendly staff, cosy fire, different seating areas with varying vibes. Great pub food with great prices attached. You can’t go past the weeknight specials and the trivia. I love this pub.

Amazing swanky pub with excellent vibe, high end food and an excellent range of drinks. I've lived nearby for years but somehow this place never caught my eye except in passing on my way between Brunswick and Coburg. I finally went in the other day and found it could be Conurg's best kept secret! The decor is amazing (atrium, bathrooms, etc), the staff were really friendly, the wine and beer selection was great and the duck croquettes we tried were divine! Way better than the post office hotel or Eddie castle. Highly recommended!

Great pub! Lots of good beers to choose from, loved the steaks, good quality and good value. Especially dig finding a (dog friendly) Beer Garden out the back! Staff really friendly, will be back with the dog to hang out soon!

The Atrium was perfect space for my family to celebrate mothers day. The food was lovely and the staff super friendly, will definitely go back. Thanks for the complimentary champagne guys, was much appreciated.

Been here twice and glad to say that the food, choice of craft beer and service have continued to be really good. It's just a really nice family friendly neighbourhood pub.

You wouldn’t think it was an important brag but the chips here were amazing. Super crunchy, like actually perfect. The minestrone was full of vegetables and a huge serving. Loved the food and the vibe was unique too.

This is a first time I went to this pub and I was impressed on every account The stuff were very friendly there was a wide selection of well priced beers on tap but the food was some of the best pub food I have ever had in my life as you can see the Parma was just on a different level it was thick juicy chicken breast not two pieces slapped together like most pubs do it was not greezy Even the fries were incredibly well cooked and crispy My friend had fish and chips and that was fantastic too

Sat in the beer garden out back with a friend. Ordered the woodlands burger which hit the spot very nicely. Bar in the beer-garden was very well appreciated. You should reserve a seat. We got there just after 6 and found a spot. Place was full by around 7. They also have the trivia night on Tuesdays. Families were also there, good family feel to the place.

Had the seafood linguini (one of the specials). For a pub, it was a decent pasta meal. Spacious seating, and room for a pram for our little one. Nice that it is open on public holidays as well - but note that there’s a 15% surcharge on public holidays which makes it a bit pricey.

Had a lot of parmas in my time (literally hundreds) in different states/countries. Honestly comes up as one of, if not THE, best! Friendly accommodating staff, really nice vibe in the atrium just out the back. Will be back (: Even accommodated my Dijon mustard request!

Came in for a couple of pots on a Tuesday afternoon. Lovely service from the Red-Head girl who works here. Made me and my friend feel very welcome. Five stars.

One of the best Parmas I've had in a long time! Staff were friendly and very hospitable. Great selection of beers on tap. Beautiful decor inside without being pretentious and the beer garden is stunning at night with thousands of fairy lights and plenty of gas heaters. Could be our new favorite local!

A surprisingly beautiful place, with a really nice atmosphere. It was especially nice in the beer-garden. The service was great, as was the food. A great choice of beers on tap. We felt very comfortable and at home. Very happy to go again!

An underrated bar and restaurant in the North! The venue has a really cool space in it's 'Atrium', and a massive outdoor space at the back. The daily specials are usually great too - I don't think I've ever had a bad meal here. :)

As pubs go, this place has a great food and service offering, with friendly and relaxed staff who are pretty attentive. I’ve had over 50 dinners here and they’re always of high quality and generous serving. I’ll continue to return a again and again. They’ve really put the effort in to give each of their spaces character, including the funky beer garden with heaps of seating out the back. A great venue in any season.

Fantastic pub, the new owners have really changed the vibe of the place, suddenly become one of my go to pubs in the area!

It has been quite a while since I last ate there & the service has certainly changed. There weren't enough staff upstairs & food delivery was very strange. Entrees came out with mains because we hadn't specified they were entrees!!!!! Very odd. 2 people had their entree & main arrive at the same time. I think training is in order. The food was nice & the have a reasonable wine selection.

Hidden gem on the Coburg end of Sydney Rd It’s one of the much nicer pubs I’ve been to for a pint and a meal. The staff are very friendly which I’m finding is a harder and harder thing to come by at hospo venues these days. The food is very good and not just because it’s a pub. The food is genuinely good! Probably one of the only negatives of this place is that it’s not really good to watch the footy at. There is one tv and it’s quite small. If it wasn’t for that, I’d probably have a table with my name on it every Friday and Saturday night

We came on a night where there was clearly a lot on and things didn’t all go according to plan which led to a bit of a wait, but the staff were so good at communicating, checked in on us regularly, and refunded our desserts and comped us a drink as a recompense for the wait. Sometimes things don’t run smoothly but really appreciated the level of service the staff provided when they were really busy. Special shout-out to the bearded guy in the trucker cap. Great job.

Excellent and quick service. Staff and friendly and truly go above and beyond for customers. Food is excellent and the selection of alcohol is impressive even for Brunswick.

While I have been to The Woodlands for meals a few times (and they have always been great), I recently booked the Atrium area for an event - and it was all so fantastic! The staff were so helpful before the night and on the night. I ordered some platters of food and. they were great - delicious, and totally above and beyond what I expected. I would absolutely have another event here in a heartbeat!

This place is like home, the food is good, the fire is warm, the staff are friendly, the beer garden is pretty, the atrium with its high ceiling is gorgeous and filled with plants while upstairs the kooky dark decor makes for a grand intimate dining experience. It's so beautiful and I just love it here.

Service and staff are very proficient, good to see they were on the ball with there Covid plan. Food was a bit dissapointing had chicken snitzle big bit of chicken a bit chewy, a bit more variety on the menu would help a typical pub menu.

Friendly staff, nice venue. Expensive and the food was average for the price. I remember the steak being amazing. Chips were poor and warm. Hopefully better next time.

Good food, friendly service and a good range of beers. Really well appointed and plenty of seating. The only negative I have is that the salted caramel cheesecake was overly salty... So salty.

Won't return, got seated by the waitress at the only table left. 15 minutes into our experience a reserved sign was sat on our table and told if you're not done by 7pm we will have to move you as an online booking has come in. I told the waiter too bad, we have been here before your booking and we are ready to order. When my food comes out I will not move. You taking another booking when I was already seated when you do not advertise multiple sitting times is not my issue. I ordered a medium porterhouse with mushroom sauce, Thanks for the TWO thin slices of Mushrooms. No seasoning on the chips was yet another downfall. Ordered Salted caramel cheesecake. It was slop. Not set and I think someone had too many bevvies before making it because I believe the packet of salt you added that made every mouthful a necessity to chase it with a mouthful of water was absolutely deplorable. Terrible service and terrible food.

Lovely staff, good venue. Food is on the average side. We dined upstairs and weren’t offered the specials menu. My fish was very small and dry, 3 onion rings and a mound of chips which I didn’t touch. Delicious halloumi fries. My partners chicken Parma was good (according to him).

  • 3/5 Leah R. 1 year ago on Google
Group booking of 12 most of us had steak which was good. I liked the sides of brussel sprouts which most would not. The mushroom sauce was nice but everyone said the same - not enough sauce. We didnt get much service sitting in the atrium but bar staff were nice enough.

Went last night and took my niece and her boyfriend. And I was very disappointed. My husband Ordered a risotto and for $29 it was not even the size of my palm. It was ridiculous. We complained and they said the chef advises that is the size and proportioned and would not do it next time but will give a bit extra only this time. Then my meal, salad with quinoa. Was boring. Hardly any ingredients and bland no flavour no dressing and nothing inspiring. It was like eating bland cereal. Wouldn’t be back. This time around after going a few times I wasn’t impressed at all

My 35 dollar fish special was clearly frozen and soggy. Poor service. Weird as hell decor in the dining room. I felt like I was in a theme park. Meh.

Great space, great food, lovely staff, but the beer taps tend to be a little pedestrian for a craft venue (not necessarily a bad thing, YMMV - also you can check what's tapped on their website which is always appreciated!)

We arrived at 8:00 on Tuesday night, it was busy because of trivia downstairs and burger night. Went upstairs to try to find a table, the guy upstairs really looked after us and made sure we were happy with where we were seated and even offered to move us when a better table became available. Music and vibes were on point, food was great, thanks legends!
