Very disappointed and dissatisfied with the change of management. I have been a member since 2019. The management and gym was amazing. However, since change of management the gym is an unwelcoming environment. The staff do not greet you and sometimes aren’t even present at reception. I originally signed up at Crunch due to the variety of classes offered. However, over the holiday period they cut the Zumba trainers classes and failed to communicate this with members. There has been a decline in Zumba classes as management cut off Wednesday and Saturday classes. Reason being people weren’t attending. Maybe if you hired appropriate and successful trainers such as Marlyse people would actually attend your classes. The management should be communicating and seeking feedback from members in relation to class. They do not listen or take feedback into consideration. Crunch Epping has increased membership prices which is fine if we are getting adequate and a variety of classes and additional equipment and facilities. Crunch take our money but do not provide any new equipment or classes. There are cheaper gyms locally who provide exceptional and clean equipment, have a welcoming environment and listen to their members needs. Also, please train your staff. I always pay my membership on time and they stated I have an outstanding payment which is false. The staff member publicly humiliated me which made me feel so uncomfortable. I had to show her my bank statement which is unprofessional and unacceptable as your staff should be doing their job correctly. I am so disappointed as I used to call this place my second home. I will be reconsidering a new gym if this feedback is not taken seriously and I don’t see an improvement over the next couple of months.

As a newly joined member, I have only good things to say about Katarina at the front desk. Very friendly and helpful. Hopefully she is an indication of the welcoming environment of this gym. After reading negative comments on here, I would only hope that things are changing for the better because my experience so far was great. Looking forward to enjoying this gym.

staff at the gym create accounts for the guest that you bring with you and guess what you get upgraded to the peak membership without your consent and double profiles get created, meaning double payments get debited. the most horrible, painful experience when dealing with the admin team. they turn around and say you have arrears to pay when actual a pro rata payment had been made. DO NOT EVER GO HERE. JUST DONT.

Information provided at the front desk of the gym is false and it is only to get a sale.Be aware of their hidden annual fee.The Cooling off period is just a lie. They will make you go through all the hassle to cancel the membership. I nominated for Shonky awards

Do not recommend. If I could rate it a fat zero I would. I used to be a member, and I left as soon as I could. My experience at Crunch Fitness has been impacted by the recent changes in management, which have resulted in a decline in the overall quality of services. Communication within the gym has noticeably faltered under the new management's direction. This has been reflected in both member-staff interaction and in the treatment of the staff themselves. High staff turnover and drastic changed in personnel may be attributed to the challenges arising from the current management style. The lack of effective communication and seemingly, inadequate support for the staff have led to a less than satisfactory experience for both employees and members alike. And from what I can see, the automated response you are sending other reviewers is the same and clearly, effort to make changes is not evident at all.

Okay, surely I can’t be the only member that has witnessed the decline in this gym. Every time you walk in, the vibe is off, like I feel motivated more so before I even step foot into the gym and as soon as my foot walks through those doors I immediately feel the negative energy. Upon entering you are greeted and with the most ingenuine “hey how’s it going?” From the stubby worker/manager at reception. Like it doesn’t sound real. The equipment here is terrible, and has remained the same for the past 5 years, a good 80% need tuning or fixing or need to be replaced with as a whole. Crunch used to care about the members but not anymore, you’re nothing but $ signs to them. If you like being micromanaged while you train then this is the place for you. I’ve heard PoW’s being treated better. You know a place is bad when the main guy working at reception, who looked after and cared about people, has left. Now you have nothing but new faces of people who don’t give two sticks about you. Don’t expect management to do anything either, if they haven’t changed things, they never will. Time to migrate to derrimut along with the rest of crunch members.

As soon as you enter(if they are there to actually open the gym!! Happened 4 times... Recently Have waited from 5am-6.45am no one showed up and also 7am xmas trading no one there to open), you're sometimes "greeted" by the extremely Rude staff that work there. Then you can take a stroll down the dirty green area that looks like it has never been steam cleaned ever!. And if you want you can have a shower also never been properly cleaned and is always covered with insects(if the hot water is working) after years we have a new machine that's the 1 star. Not sure what happened to the previous staff but at least we felt welcomed!!!!!

I've been a member at Crunch Fitness - Epping for nearly two years and have always appreciated its welcoming environment and well-equipped facilities. However, recent management changes have noticeably affected the gym's atmosphere and service quality. Under the new manager's direction, essential equipment like yoga and squat pads have been removed or restricted. On one occasion, I was outright denied access to squat pads by the manager but later given them by another staff member. This inconsistency in service, possibly indicative of personal bias, is concerning Furthermore, there's a notable delay in repairing broken equipment – extending up to two months. This, along with the manager's passive-aggressive attitude towards members and staff, detracts significantly from the gym experience. I valued Crunch Fitness for its supportive environment and commitment to fitness goals. Unfortunately, the recent changes under the new management seem misaligned with these values. I'm hopeful for improvements that bring back the gym's original spirit and service quality.

Terrible service. Booked an appointment for 3pm. Arrived abit earlier around 2.50pm and was told to sit down at reception and in an unwelcoming way too. But eventually waited anyway for someone to come out and welcome me to the appointment. Eventually sat at reception until 3.15pm and still nobody came out to attend to me for the appointment. The receptionist at no point came out to mention anything about delays at all. No communication whatsoever. Even at 3.15pm the desk at reception was unattended. Even the receptionist disappeared from the area. I left very very disappointed and angry that my time was wasted all for nothing. After covid restrictions eased, I would like to think gyms would want more clients to join up. The lack of interest from Crunch has been so bad, it makes the other gyms much more attractive option. The management of Crunch should be ashamed such terrible service has been delivered.

Very bad service. You can’t cancel via phone call, need to go to the gym for cancel the membership. Even not easy for suspension your membership, they need your medical record to suspend it. A lot of hassle, easy join, not easy to get out of it. Don’t recommended. It always crowd, some machine like smith machine I just can’t reach for whole evening. Always have machine break down.

Very bad experience in my life. Staff is not halpfull and I am not happy these services. The main and important things they guys renew your annual membership without your permission even they didn’t send any email or message or even call. And when I call to crunch gym they said sry we can’t do anything. I am very disappointed because in my account only 90 dollar and they guys charged 77 dollar without any notice 🥲

Brilliant gym. It has very friendly front desk staff as well as very professional personal trainers. The crowd is encouraging and friendly with lot of people enjoying free weights and weight training. The built-in weights machines are also modern and better than most expensive gyms. The cardio equipment also has good variety. With these range of facilities the fees are very competitive.

Have gone to this gym for nearly 2 years now and I used to absolutely love it. Since new management took over it has been nearly unrecognisable. I have seen a massive decline in the quality and quantity of the equipment as well as an evident poor and rude attitude from the manager herself towards the members and staff. Disappointed

Had my first week at crunch Epping. The staff were fantastic staff member Tiffany was warm and friendly and made sure to show me all the equipment and facilities . The other members were really kind . I’ve had issues at other gyms with staff not being around to ask questions but the staff there are so kind and helpful. Many thanks

I’ve been coming to the gym for a while and noticed it’s gotten worse since management changed and there is this one female that never greets me when I enter, I’m pretty sure she’s the manger her name is Dani. I would also like to add it’s not as clean as it used to be. It’s a poorly run gym, management need to do something about it or you’ll lose a lot of people. Also I’m pretty sure the last few 5 star reviews are the manager and employees…

Crunch fitness Epping have absolutely no customer service skills, employees shift accountability from one to the other and worst of all had 2 lots of payments deducted in error by the club , that I have been chasing up a refund for, for the past 2 months now, with no response to emails and the old “someone will get back to you” when calling the club directly. Still waiting to hear back from Tiffany after x3 “I’ll pass on the message”

It was really bad experience i really had got no attention and support. Im so disappointed to join the gym first time there was offer that no joining fees this month if i had got referred by friend but when i went there when i saw this on poster they said excuses and haven’t treated properly and charged me same and were telling to bring friend who referred and asked me to take same package on what my friend is when i asked them they didn’t support not worth it … they think we are fools they told we have to tell them offer why we are here not they will tell😂

Worse gym I ever been too alongside one of my other previous ones. They rip you off for cancelling your membership without warning and stating from the beginning that there is no lock in contracts. The best decision I made was deferring amd cancelling my membership there as the staff are misleading, unprofessional and lack understanding towards those with Medical issues. Will never return 1/0 👎👎👎👎I don't recommend Crunch Fitness especially if you have health conditions they are not understanding and are only in it for the $$$ not genuinely for there clients and members health, fitness and well-being needs or /and wants.

Updated: 2022. Local Gymner at Crunch Epping. Excellent modern gym if you leave around Melbourne Northern suburbs, a very tidy gym, some regular people that used the gym often return their weights back which is good. Some of the regular staff are friendly, always say hi and goodbye, some might even starts with a conversation with you, others are not friendly but those are the casual ones. Best part no one judges you what you do here in the gym as long as you do appropriate things, also the MUSIC vibe pumps you up. Hopefully they will expand the gym in the future, but at the moment so far so good.

Gym is really nice. But this new management is not co-operative. Now a days not much good trainer for fitness classes. Only Maria and Sue are good. So can’t go to gym for all days of week. Management please try to listen to customers and try to help and support. And please add new good instructor or increase classes of Maria and Sue. Thanks

0/5, Crunch Epping- worst experience to cancel membership. For cancellation you have to visit them in person which is ridiculous in today’s advanced world to put people through this when it can be done over phone easily. I cancelled membership within the required timeframe and I was advised that I won’t be charged anymore but they deducted money from bank. I called them 3 times, sent email, raised query online, visited face to face to ask for refund but no one provided any response or followed up despite multiple attempts to contact them. I have had gym membership with other gyms and they cancel over phone and refund any payments deducted incorrectly but this gym look like a scam when it comes to returning money and cancelling membership. Never going to recommend it to anyone.

Extremely rude staff. They lie about their policy. They state no cancellation fee but they direct debit from your account when you decide to leave. Had an incident with a staff member and will take every avenue to take it further. Don’t waste your time if you are looking at joining this gym.

Great gym, good equipment and if your on a budget I recommend. Only things I can fault is that it's not 24hrs and it needs at least one more leg press and another pec fly machine. If it wasn't for these things missing I would have rated 5 star.

Very disappointed and unhappy with the new management being uncooperative and rude. She has made this gym worse by never fixing things, being rude to staff and never greeting or caring about members. The old manager was SO much better, he cared about the members as well as all the staff, who seem all unhappy now that this new lady has taken over. Very unhappy now!

Need a bit more cleanliness please. Drink spillage white mark on the floor near the free weights still there for the last 2 months. Surely some hidden fees. when called and enquired about the hidden annual fee, the answer I received was "sorry about that, the person who enrolled you might have missed on updating you on the annual fee". Also, if you choose direct debit option, there is an additional fee for processing direct debit on top of the weekly fee, which is never discussed or advertised during admission.

The gym is fine, only their marketting is a total rip off. They'll get you to join for a $0 scheme, just to charge you the amount in 3 months time. And going through their terms will need to appoint a lawyer. Would not recommend this shady gym unless you dont care your spending.

  • 5/5 Vivek S. 2 years ago on Google
Very nice gym in good locality. They have almost all equipments. It's all just at $10/week (at the time of this review) with no membership fee. I enjoy exercising here. Thanks

The worse gym I have ever signed up for. For years I have been to many different gyms and never had any issues until now. I signed up months ago and still haven’t stepped foot into the gym due to personal reasons. I have given my direct debit details twice but they still manage to not get that right and then try and charge me dishonour fees. I personally will not recommend this gym as if you have a problem they don’t care and only state terms and conditions. No common sense in these people. Absolutely disgusted the way I was treated. I still haven’t been into the gym and now they tell me if I don’t pay last fortnight’s bill and the dishonour fee they was cancel it. Anyway I’ll be taking legal actions.

I want to freeze my account for 6weeks as I am travelling overseas. when I called they asked me to come Directly and pay $15 to freeze my account when I went there they asked to me send my proof of travelling details after sending only they freezed my account. Group fitness Classes also only Maria and Sue are very good have to check them and go if some other are handling classes means it’s waste of going.

The free Wifi at Crunch doesn’t work because they won’t pay the internet bill. The fitness classes take up to much space, they have a private room to train in and then in the same session move to the open space area and reserve it for 1hr, Not fair considering I’m a paying member but even if Crunch Fitness response to this horrible review, there poor management won’t do anything to improve it especially the internet 🛜

I have seen a dramatic decline in this gym recently. It used to be an enjoyable place to come to. But ever since, it's lost a sense of community, and I no longer want to train here anymore and will be canceling my membership. The new staff are rude, unfriendly and don't even acknowledge the members. Ever since the consistent workers such as Dom, Ana, Mariam, Ashwyn, Mila and Rebecca have gone the atmosphere has been off.

I have been a loyal member of Crunch Fitness for a while now and have truly enjoyed my time there. However, I must express my concerns regarding recent developments at the gym. While I initially found Crunch to be a welcoming and motivating environment, I have noticed a significant shift in the atmosphere and professionalism these past few months. I have encountered several instances where the management has demonstrated a lack of understanding of the fitness industry and a disregard for the members’ needs and concerns. This unprofessional behaviour is disappointing and has created an uncomfortable environment for both staff and members alike. Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I look forward to seeing positive changes that will help restore Crunch Fitness to its former glory.

Very disappointed, particularly of late under new management . I have been a member since 2019, and was always a happy member of Crunch. Not so anymore- - there are no longer mats to stretch on, they were removed without warning and without apology - the hours of operation change at times which means I cannot train at all. Hours such as 7am to 5pm are terrible, and from 7am to 7pm also terrible, it's just not good enough. There are so many people that train at 5am on a regular basis that are now missing out. Refunds are not offered for the inconvenience. For those who work, it's impossible to train at this time of year with hours like this - on 19th December 2023 I turned up at 5:30am and the gym was not open because the staff member forgot to turn up. A car park full of patrons who can not get into their gym is not acceptable. - equipment is often broken - equipment is poorly placed which is dangerous and a hazard to patrons - management are not helpful and don't return phone calls or emails - of late, the gym does not feel like it has been cleaned properly Overall, I'm very disappointed and wouldn't recommend this gym

I took membership in this gym for month to month they charge me 15 dollars enrolment fees but there was a offer for specific period there they didn’t told me when i asked them for that they started making excuses that this is you have to tell before and so rude and arrogant. They started taking direct debit from account even i paid in cash and advance payment I don’t understand i called them they say to give emails to there team and they said they can’t do anything really bad receptionists never listen just cutting my words!!!!
