Wife and I had our first visit to this place last night for our 19th anniversary. We were both greatly impressed! Despite already being crowded at 5:30, they got us to our (reserved) table immediately. The ambiance is great, and I especially appreciate that despite the crowd we could hear each other just fine in our booth. Our server Sean promptly greeted us, got us some waters, and gave us time to order our drinks. Speaking of drinks, my wife got the frozen spice mango Rita, and I must say, I'm usually unimpressed by drinks labeled "spicy" but their house made jalapeño-infused tequila sure packed a decent punch! I had the Old Fashioned and was pleasantly surprised by the generous pour. Sean took our appetizer order -- we split the crab and shrimp dip which was fantastic. And with a real touch of class, he didn't rush us into an entree order, so we got to enjoy our drinks and dip for a little while before placing the main course. Good job there. Really made the evening more relaxing and enjoyable! My wife went with the cedar plank salmon, and I got the T-bone pork chop. Look, both of them were delicious and I highly recommend them, but what I really want to talk about is the sides. First up, the green beans. I love green beans, but often they're either over or under cooked, or not seasoned well. These were clearly seared on high heat, with nice bits of char on them. Still perfectly crunchy. And what a flavor! And don't get me started on the mashed potatoes... okay, too late, I'm already started. Butter is amazing, amirite? Definitely a lot of butter, garlic, and other flavors -- my wife thinks she detected some sour cream. Anyway, the flavor was outstanding, and they were PERFECTLY creamy. So, so good. We got the caramel bread pudding for dessert, because that's just what you do -- if there's ever bread pudding, you just get it. At this point I'm running out of adjectives to describe food, so I'll just say we weren't at all surprised how good it was. If I had to pick any nit with the meal, it's that they could have added more caramel to it since that gets top billing. Even so, it was marvelous. Make sure to get it with whipped cream. Also, can I just comment on the price point? For the quality of food and overall dining experience, the prices were great! Especially with current inflationary trends, I was pleasantly surprised at that, especially in comparison with a lot of other places.

We had "Date Night"! If you're in the Flower Mound area, you have to try Hillside Fine Grill. The food is always great, the service is perfect, the atmosphere is wonderful and great prices to boot! Last night we sat at the bar. The Bartender Asia was our Server and she was spot on. We generally try something different, but I love getting their mashed potatoes and kale salad as a side. We always have left overs too. The Trio Dip is always a must to start. Seriously, it's usually around $8. You get a lot! Also, I'm not sure if it's the owner or Manager, but we always see him walking around. He's not missing, like in most businesses, which is probably why Hillside runs as smooth as it does. Check them out, you'll definitely be back. We've been here dozens of times! Enjoy

Had lunch with friends. Great atmosphere. Our server was very friendly. The food was excellent. I had the fish and chips. The devil eggs as well as the fish 🐟 and chips were delicious. My wife had the plank grilled salmon ( picture not included). She really enjoyed it.

Stopped by Friday night for dinner. The place was busy. Luckily I was able to grab a seat at the bar. They have a rewards program and got a free app for signing up. Asia was behind the bar was great. Super helpful with menu suggestions. I had the old fashioned and Hillside martini, the martini was not the traditional with olives more like an upscale screwdriver but was labeled as such on the menu. For my meal had the bourbon glazed salmon. Everything was delicious. There was a gentleman appeared to be a manager kept checking on the bar staff and roaming bar area making sure they were covered. Would visit again

Hillside Fine Grill has a ton of great reviews for a reason!! Great food and drinks. I got the combo with fried shrimp, gumbo, and salmon. Go with the crab dip for an app. Delicious sides like the asparagus and mashed potatoes.

Yum, yum, yum!! I enjoyed my first dine-in experience at Hillside. Our server, Olivia, was amazing. She provided solid recommendations and she was very attentive. We decided on two appetizers...meatballs and spinach with crab dip. Both were great choices and left us feeling full. Then the entrees came and that's when we knew that we would be taking our food to-go! We tasted our entrees and everything was soooo good! The food was delicious, the decor was beautiful and the service was top-notch. We will be back!!

Excellent place for dinner or lunch. Outstanding service and a wide variety of menu items and all reasonably priced. Great drink selection. Always busy but the tables turn quickly. Great atmosphere. Try the mashed potatoes, gumbo, trout. All excellent. Large portions. Friendly and attentive staff. A must stop for couples and families. Great bar area to sit and have conversations with bartenders and fellow patrons.

Had a group gathering here for eight. They would not seat us until everyone arrived. Sat at the bar - bartenders were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I had a strawberry sangria spritzer, which was made expertly. For dinner I ordered the lunch portion of the Hawaiian chicken. And unfortunately, I was seriously disappointed. The menu did not indicate it came with rice, which was kind of odd because it came with mashed potatoes as well. The chicken breast was very thin and dry. The special sauce was just off - can’t put my finger on exactly what was wrong, but it did not taste good. The mashed potatoes we’re good. The restaurant does a good business and it was busy. Serving staff was very friendly. Unfortunately I won’t be going back.

Everything we ordered was so good. We had shrimp gumbo, crab and shrimp dip, babyback rib and spinach chicken pasta. We will definitely go back. Went again today. Loved everything. I brought my friends and they also really enjoyed everything. Matthew our server was very nice and attentive. My friends and I really enjoyed the whole experience. I will definitely take more friends I love💕

Great restaurant with very clean atmosphere similar to white table cloth service. The prices are surprisingly affordable compared to the décor. We had a table of 9 and were very well taken care of. Everyone enjoyed their food and the server was very sneaky about how he kept our drink glasses filled. We look forward to returning again soon.

Ms. Asia was awesome, she has a wonderful attitude, knowledgeable and friendly. I went with a dear friend and we had a great time. Is an adult ambient but the whole family can come. Their deviled eggs with bacon were delicious and our drinks right on point, I had the tart + blood orange, I really enjoyed it and also ordered the Salmon, Quinoa + Kale salad with vinaigrette delicious, I was hoping more quinoa on it but it is a flavorful dish and the baked salmon really well seasoned. My friend ordered strawberry sangria spritzer and Fresh Ruby Red Trout with street corn and mashed potatoes, she enjoyed everything. We will be returning, for sure because the combination of great service and delicious food is almost extinct since Covid but not in Hillside Fine Grill!

have never been able to find salmon that tastes this good. seriously. service is always great and this place consistently hits the mark every time. i come in regularly for the salmon. one complaint i do have is the music played, especially during dinner time. it doesn't really match the ambiance and is loud. hard to hear the person you're on a date with above the club like music. maybe some more relaxing music would be more suitable.

Interesting place. Not sure I would consider it fine dinning. My steak was reminiscent of the K-Bob days, thin cut but good. Unfortunatly the Hawaiian chicken did not measure up to the Steak and Ale days as it was a bit dry and overcooked. Let's call it a throwback family dining with a very loyal following most likely due to great value. Surprised there are no complimentary rolls or bread? Perhaps just take "Fine" off the name which confused us a bit? Service was exceptional from a young but clearly well trained team.

My son took me to celebrate Mother's Day! Everything was top-notch. The service we we received from our server, Matthew, was unforgettable. He was extremely attentive. I can be difficult when placing orders due to my diet restrictions, but Matthew was absolutely on point with my needs. I'm definitely coming back.

We went with friends who wanted to go there. The service was very friendly and Allison, our server, very attentive, present and sociable. The food, unfortunately, is pedestrian. Not bad, just nothing to write home about (yet, worth taking the time for, to write this review). My wife had the Pasta Primavera, one of the few dishes she could have, since the restaurant offers only a handful of vegetarian options and we do not eat meat. This dish is incorrectly labeled as “vegan” on the menu, as the pasta was made with eggs. Apparently whoever prepared the manual does not know that eggs are animal protein. The dish was decent, not stellar. The place was packed (Saturday night, 7PM, the first decent day weather wise, after 3 or 4 days of bitter cold and icy roads - so everyone itching to go out). Even though it was full, Allison managed to do a wonderful job of staying in touch and tending to our table. I tried the fried shrimp (they were not deveined) and also one piece of the Stuffed Shrimp (with crabmeat), that one of our friends, had. Again, both pedestrian, though not terrible. The crabmeat that fills the shrimp was dense and nothing special. The French Fries that accompanied the fried shrimp, and the cole slaw I ordered, were good. No one in our party had wine although, if you see the video, you can see they have a good looking Wine Shelf.

My goodness this place is fantastic. Thr peach bilini is amazing! Firecracker shrimp rocks! I enjoyed the sirloin steak with gulf shrimp and my wife had the ribs! We were both HIGHLY satisfied with our meals and Corina is the best company at the bar! Last but not least, the desert was out of this world! Apple crisp unlike I've ever had! We will be back, and mad we didn't try it sooner!

One of the best restaurants my husband and I have been to if this area. Rick, the manager, is so gracious and wonderful, the staff, professional yet very knowledgeable in the menu. You get a choice of a exclusive restaurant with comfort and class, then you have the sports bar. We have been going for 5 years and it ranks number one. We take all our family and friends there who are from out of town. It’s by far the best of the best.

We had such a huge group on a weekend and our waitress was so kind and patient! I know how hard it can be to deal with a large party and she did it with grace. The mashed potatoes were my favorite thing. They are so good ! Everyone in our party really liked their food. Would come again

PROs: Retro & beautiful atmosphere/ambience. Good location. Plenty of parking. Clean establishment. Surprised of the quality and presentation knowing we were seated and served within an hour of closing. The service and the food was wonderful. CONs: No waiting room. Standing area only next to the hostess/check in, not ideal if you have children or handicap waiting for a table, also it hinders patrons leaving the establishment. There are outside benches but it is also not ideal to wait outside in 100+ temperature. Thank you to Miles (mgr) for his quick and professional attention to an overcharge discrepency. It was quickly taken care of within a day.

I had lunch at the bar. Quick and delicious. Brittany was working the bar and was professional and personable. It was my first time….I’ll certainly be back. The sirloin steak was on point even though it was slightly over cooked. I asked for medium and it was closer to medium well. Still…..extremely delicious and pleasing. Good job Hillside!
