THE BEST PIZZAS! They have unique flavours and they are flavour bomb!! I've tried 90% of the menu and I cannot fault a single one of them! You could try any single pizza and you would not be disappointed. Highly recommend this place!!

REVIEW: ❤ My favourite at Takeaway Pizza were the Mushroom and Chorizo and Rockling! The mushroom was incredibly flavourful with such a good amount of toppings. The truffle made things so fragrant, especially with the lemon which cut through the heavy umami flavour a little. I love a little heat on my pizza, so the Chorizo and Rockling was for me! The pickled jalapenos added pops of brightness, with the fish not tasting fishy at all! 🐟🌶 My friend's favourite was the pepperoni! If you like something more classic with meat, this might be the one for you. 🥓 All the pizzas sounds so appealing with ingredient pairings that make so much SENSE. ➖ The thin pieces of pizza were delicious. It's packed full of toppings, but the crust was jaw-achingly tedious to work through. 😢 ❗ Each pizza has 6 slices, so would really recommend bringing a crowd of 6 in total to really maximise your pizza experience. Booking through the website is highly recommended too, because there was a massive line out the door which we were luckily able to bypass with our booking. ✍

This place came highly recommended by some millennials at work- and they weren’t wrong! Easy parking on a Saturday night on the street, we were seated promptly at the bar without a reservation on a packed Saturday night. They have classic pizzas but the rest of the menu had toppings I’d never seen or knew existed! Pastrami and bone marrow was super tasty but a little heavy by the end, but the star was the pear and honey. The gluten free base was a bargain at $2 extra only and really tasty. Staff super chatty and attentive too. We’ll be back to try the other flavours!

Every time I’ve visited, the pizza has been an absolute show stopper. I really love all the flavours, whether it be vegetarian or not. Photos are of the mushroom, zucchini, bone marrow and lamb pizzas. I will say that it’s a little out of the way in terms of being accessible to people from the CBD but definitely a gem and won’t diminish my love for the pizza here.

The food was amazing! If you are not sure what to order and you eat meat, go for pastrami and bone marrow one. The meat is tender and juicy, the sauce is full of flavour

I’ve had many people recommend Takeaway Pizza, and so glad I made it in! For starters, the Garlic Bun was amazing, a creamy garlic filling topped with Pecorino. The most unique garlic bread I’ve had. I thoroughly enjoyed the Zucchini Pizza, with many more vegetarian selections to choose from. I’m not sure what kind of sauce it had but it was very creamy, base was so crispy. Good reviews on the Salami and Honey Pizza too. Great vibes and dog friendly on the outdoor seating. Staff were also A+. Thanks! Can’t wait to come back for another flavour.

When I was looking for a great place to have pizza in Melb, I first heard about the name "Takeaway Pizza" via word of mouth and instantly thought it was some joke. Glad to know I was wrong. Possibly the best pizza I've had in Melbourne so far along with an amazing garlic bread (which came with bone marrow). I would come back when I get the chance next time I return to Melbourne.

Not sure if Michaelangelo would approve because they're not your typical dirty and oily pizzas. However, I'm sure he'd come here on a date night with April if given the chance. Expect to wait in line if you want to dine in. Best thing to do is in their name - takeaway. Beautiful flavours that will keep you thinking about it the next day. Mushroom one was my favourite (surprisingly)

Yeah pizzas are sick. Flavour combinations you wouldn't normally see anywhere. Would go again definitely!

Although this place can get a bit noisy it is one of the best pizza places I've been to in a while! Service was amazing. Staff were attentive and really helpful. The bone marrow garlic bread and the 13 spice chips were to die for. Had an absolute blast trying to figure out all 13 spices. The pet nat was really fun and interesting. The yuzu mocktail is fresh and delightful. Pizzas were fantastic as usual. Make sure you order the mortadella and honey! So yum

It's fine, my pizza was a bit burnt and over done but others on the table had good pizzas and the garlic buns were great! The disco lighting in the bathroom made an already unclean floor look even less appealing - some one needs to scrub those tiles

There aren’t enough stars to rate this amazing pizza joint! Let’s start with the food. Pizza is without doubt the best I’ve ever had in Melbourne! And that’s really saying something. Incredible flavours with generous toppings, I was so sad I finished it 🥲 Service was incredible too. Such attentive,friendly staff who really know how to look after you without being in your face. My young boy was well taken care of with some colouring pencils and paper. The vibe here was great,especially on a sunny Sunday arvo. Found this place by chance and have now made it our go to in the northern suburbs. Thank you so much!!!

Great pizzas as always with very consistent taste. Been a costumer for about 2 years now, and pineapple pizza never disappoints. All pizzas are worth trying! The garlic bread they serve here is unique, and the bar is good. ✨😎

This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool but the staff is also really friendly TY Bella. Food quality is good, we have ordered a flavorsome and delectable lamb and Mushroom pizzas. For bites ordered garlic bun bone marrow served in brioche bun stuffed with confit garlic, herbs, butter, topped with pecorino and bone marrow an appetizing that is highly recommended 😋. Prices is 100% worth it. Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in Preston. 👌🏼

The salami and honey pizza is just exceptional. Oily but oh so tasty and unique. Thin and crispy base. The honey carries the spice in such an interesting way that every mouthful was just bliss.

A neighbourhood gem that is not just takeaway pizza. We came by for drinks and booked to return for dinner after getting a serious amount of food envy from eyeballing everyone else's pizza and snacks. The Piggy and Figgy was divine and turned us into piggies. 🐷 The savoury and sweet flavours cane from combining pancetta, buffalo mozzarella, fig slices, garlic honey and a red sauce - just divine. The Mushroom pizza was beautifully done with four different mushrooms, truffle and lemon thyme. Pizzas here are 12 inches and eight slices, but the crust is so thin they're all about the flavour of the toppings. The super casual atmosphere and really friendly staff, even at the peak of the night, mate this a great place to chill out. Seatings indoor and out make the most of Melbourne's changing weather. This was a really great experience and we would be back for sure.

The gluten free pizza base is exceptional. The vegetarian pizzas had great flavour and balance of ingredients. The lamb and pastrami pizzas were a bit too intense but if you’re a meat lover you’ll like them. The garlic on the garlic bread was too strong.

Got take away last night on the strength of reviews. Pizzas were absolutely delectable. I had a Prosciutto and Pear, but no pear evident. My daughter had the Mushroom pizza with 5 different kinds of mushrooms. Both were wonderful flavours. What makes this pizza stand out however is not the toppings but the pizza base. It was light, crunchy and slightly sweet. Quite unlike any pizza base I've had before. Not doughy or oily; quite remarkable and tasty. We were speaking with family members while eating our pizzas. Now the whole family want to try them. Only negative comment is that I found website/menu a bit confusing. Was uncertain of the toppings on each pizza style and the price. I will be back!

Name might be confusing but it’s a place you can dine in. Delicious pizza with GF options and dairy free options. Although we went full gluten and dairy when we went. Both options are delicious. Restaurant has a sibling restaurant where they share/exchange produce/products with (I think it’s a burger joint). Honey pepperoni pizza was booommmbbbbb 💣 (good)

Ordered pizza from here after it was highly recommended. The pizza base was very, very thin which resulted in a pizza that wasn't very filling. Also, there was not enough topping on the pizza. I was keen to order a meat lovers style pizza - no such thing exists?! I'm not sure why this restaurant is rated so highly, it was quite ordinary. I was really looking forward to trying this place as we're locals. Disappointed!

What a find I ordered online. The first thing you notice on the menu is the amount of pizzas and the very different ingredients, tried the pastrami and marrow, full of flavour thin based which is how I like my pizzas The pay and pick up was efficient. A great variety of delicious pizza, tasty cocktails and a really relaxed vibe. We shared 3 pizzas and some chips between 4 adults and were beyond full.

It seems very popular restaurant. GarlicBun Pecorino is ok. Pepperoni 👍, Chips were very 👍 👍 . Special the Chorizo and Rocking is worth for try if you like jalapeño👍👍.

Really good place for pizza, mushroom is best (in my opinion). Food is cooked to perfection, staff are nice and accomodating and space has a groovy vibe. I just wouldn’t recommend making a booking online for the patio, as whatever you book online may not be available by the time you get there as they take bigger walk in bookings, then you get stuck inside on one of the small tables 😭 (the pizza is big) and with drinks on top of this and a side; you barely have any room left on the table.. but overall, great place and tasty pizza! (Also try the garlic bun!!! Delicious) ❤️

Love the mushroom pizza here! Been here a few times now and always had such a great consistent experience. We ordered the garlic brioche bun last time and that was also fantastic. Apparently the cocktails are also great, but we have yet to try those. Great food, staff and atmosphere. Highly recommend.
