My partner and I had a fantastic experience here on our weekend away trip for our anniversary. Staff were so lovely and helpful and the calamari entre was absolutely delicious. The mains were so tasty I felt bad being unable to finish, but the serving sizes were so generous I simply couldn't!

We visited McDaids Irish Pub on the way back from a long day of sightseeing, and had quite an appetite. We were glad we chose McDaids, as a filling pub meal was exactly what we wanted. The toilets were not in good condition, and are hidden away upstairs and down two corridors. The atmosphere was exactly what one would expect from an Irish pub. The barman even had an Irish accent, which was appreciated. The curry sauce chicken parmigiana was an experiment but one with a successful outcome. I would visit again for the food, beer and atmosphere.

Don't judge a book by its cover. Not much appeal on the outside when its cold and overcast. But myself & my whole family of 15 loved the warm and cosy atmosphere inside & the food was fantastic (except seafood pasta - plain Jane)

Would give 4.5 if possible!! Absolutely loved the atmosphere! The live music was great and kids colouring kept us adults entertained 😌. However chips were a bit soggy, we weren’t offered table water, and it was on the expensive side ($4.20 for soda water?). Otherwise the food and deserts were cooked well and delicious. The intrigue of an unexpected jOurNeY to get to the bathroom was also an added delight

2nd visit this holiday. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. We had Guinness&beef pie, & Irish Parma which were so delicious! Atmosphere fab. Everyone passing by moved, danced or sang to the music. Great variety of traditional & modern tunes. We will definitely be back.

Great house beer! We had the house made lager and beautiful dishes - lamb stew, Irish Parma and beef & Guinness pie (that one was amazing). Very friendly staff that allowed me to try a beer before get it. The pub interior is very surprising, don’t be fool from the facade.

awesome vibe in front bar, great variety of whiskeys and beers. Food was amazing . Husband hasn't stopped raving about the seafood chowder. says it's the best he's ever had . Chicken parmy with Irish curry sauce was super Huge and very delicious . Was very crowded but really cosy and intimate at the same time. There was wheelchair access but it would be a tight squeeze. The staff were super happy and attentive . A great night out. not somewhere you'd take kids tho. 😁

What a great winter menu, especially on a cold night. Really hearty, wholesome large serves. Bring your appetite. Great atmosphere with a fireplace and Irish accents from some of the staff, which I could listen to for hours!

We all got the irish parma and it was fantastic! The curry sauce was amazing and I'm so glad I asked for extra curry on the side. The serving size is unbelievable, I couldn't finish mine, although I tried. Service was fast, staff was friendly, nothing to complain about. Will definitely come back when I'm in the area again.

3 stars for service only because they were understaffed and couldnt get to our table to clear it. Food was very good. Lamb Shanks, Beef and Guiness Pie was delicious and the Fish and Chips was very nice. Definitely recommend and will return for more.

Always great Irish pub food, excellent value and choice, Service is great. Excellent choice of wines, and of course the Guinness is great. We are so lucky to have the best Irish pub’s on the peninsula. A little taste of home ☘️

One of the best seafood chowders I've ever had, and it was a big bowl too! My friends at the table were highly satisfied with what they ordered, one ordered a Guinness steak pie and one ordered the pair of sliders. Even the bowl of chips were as they should be, fat, chunky, delicious pieces. Definitely coming back here the next time I'm in this area with the family.

Best wee Irish pub ever! Top staff, beautiful home comfort food, value for money with a great atmosphere! Home away from home! Lucky 🍀 us to have this as our local. It’s Rosebuds version of “Cheers”. Thank you Caroline and team for creating this amazing little community

Stopped here on the way back from the hot springs. There were six of us we all got a main course and everyone agreed the food was delicious. Best beef and Guinness pie I've ever tasted. Well worth visiting this lovely pub.

From the moment we walked in, the friendly and welcoming atmosphere of McDaid's Irish Pub was evident. The staff were very attentive and helpful with all things pertaining to the menu, including suggested drink choices. The food was well presented and at very reasonable prices. The menu items ranged from traditional Irish fare to mainstream options, including a children's menu option. I cannot recommend McDaid's Irish Pub highly enough for a great night out on the Mornington Peninsula. The dining area was comfortable complete with open fire for what was a very wintery evening. My thanks to the proprietors and staff at McDaid's for a wonderful experience. They even allowed me to play their piano - nothing was too much trouble.

Our party of 13 people enjoyed a fabulous meal here on Sunday. Considering they were short of staff the service was A1 and all 13 dishes were delicious/great size which is hard to find these days. We will definitely be back. Nice Sunday arvo musician duo was a perfect end to our overall positive experience lunching here. Well done to all the Staff especially the Chef!

Been here a couple times. Great Pub, what I mean is Irish Pub! Irish music and food as well I guess but a real friendly family pub/restaurant/cafe. Enjoy the happiness even if you don't understand the Irish accent well. I love it! Live music should be checked out. Some music might be happy but usually, dare I say, it is sad. Upside is a good reason for another pint of Guinness!

Amazing food, proper Irish staff (or at least people who can put on a great accent!) - puts Melbourne pubs to shame. 100% recommend when down this way
