This place is amazing! Easily the best sandwich spot in SF. I have been coming here for ten years and I am on a quest to try every single sandwich on the menu. This time I ordered the Risky Bizness and it was great!! The pastrami and crab went well together. The peppercinis were a nice addition!

Really nice sandwich shop. Nice bread and awesome homemade sauce. the sandwiches are filled with toppings. The soup here even good too. The price is pretty good for the amount of food you are getting. there are a lot of variety to choose from too. I would give it a try.

I was on my way out to see Bushwacker Bob and his little stab Tracer Bullet Betty when the little voice inside said stop! So I did, and found myself right in front of Lou's Cafe, I remember someone telling me about how great the BLT's are at Lou's so in I went. Well, I gotta tell you, that BLT wasn't great at all as a matter of fact it was spectacular! 5 stars all day long. ☆☆☆☆☆

Probably the best sandwiches I've ever had! Sooo fresh and good. I wish every sandwich I have for the rest of my life tastes exactly like Lou's Italian!

I got the RB Mushroom and my wife got the turkey cranberry. Mine was really good, but my wife’s was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had! Everything on the menu looked delicious, would highly recommend and would like to come back the next time we visit the area.

I wish I could give this place 50 stars. I’ve never had a bad meal there and I’ve been going there for years. If I may, please recommend the ultimate club with everything on it. This club sandwich will change the way you feel about club sandwiches! The staff is always lovely. There isn’t much atmosphere, because it’s a take out place. Can’t wait to see the new expansion.

Delicious sandwich. I got the turkey sandwich on Dutch crunch bread. The jalapeño spread definitely has a kick to it.

Stumbled upon this place right before exploring Golden Gate Park. So happy we did. Seriously the best sandwich of my life. Small establishment with amazing efficiency. Workers were getting killed but they kept smiling and making delicious sandwiches. We all got different sandwiches. Pesto chicken was amazing. My son devoured the buffalo chicken. I got a cranberry turkey that was mind blowing. It made the rose garden an even more special experience. SUPER affordable for the product received. Only regret is I don’t know when I’ll have this again. Colorado loves great sandwiches ;) Definitely recommend!!!

Whoever answers the phone needs honestly should try out a different responsibility because manning the phone is not her strong suit. Sat on the phone with her for almost 5 minutes while she was talking to another customer in the store. Then when she finally could speak with me she was incoherent. The upside was that she got the order right and it was ready when I got there. Lou's sandwiches are a decent size and the flavors are decent as well. The establishment has street parking out front that wasn't hard to find. The interior was clean-ish but the outside is kinda off putting. Overall more like a 3.7 star rating for me

Sandwiches are delicious and well sized. If you come during the lunch hour, be prepared to wait. I would recommend calling in your order if you plan to drop by during the busy hour.

If your vegetarian DONT ever eat here! My fiancé received her sandwich covered in a sauce she asked not to put on there and after removing the sauce, she bit in only to find Multiple Pieces of Meat were laid in there as well. Horrible customer service as we called to ask what happened they blamed the delivery driver! The sandwiches were labeled correctly when we got them. Lous messed up and wouldn’t apologize. Don’t eat here. Ever.

Quality sandwiches, good price and great staff. The ‘risky business’ is on point. And don’t sleep on their fresh made Italian sodas. Been going here for years and they’ve never let me down.

Drove from the east bay and wanted to find something quick for lunch to take to Baker Beach. Decided to give Lou's a try based on their reviews! 4 stars because we were able to find meter parking right in front. We arrived around 11:30am on a Saturday. It took us about 15 minutes to get through the line, order, and wait for our food.

Sandwiches are awesome...make sure you get the Lou's sauce... a little heat that goes well with all their sandwiches. The only problem is the Lines are LONG LONG LONG. Especially on a nice day at lunch.

I like the sandwiches at this place a lot but it takes literally an hour each time to get your sandwiches. They often mess up orders or simply forget about your order. It makes it impossible to keep going here even though I like the food.

No-frills sandwich shop with decent portions, reasonable prices and quick service. Taste-wise it's kind of meh but overall good for a quick meal to fill your empty stomach. Service was lukewarm, the ladies at the shop were busy making sandwiches and probably fulfilling online orders and wasn't very attentive to answering my questions.

One of the best sandwiches I’ve had and the place that officially introduced me to Dutch crunch bread…..how did I live so long without it?
