My bagel was excellent. It was soft inside and crispy on the outside, texture was good. I got a regular coffee which was decent. A bit too bitter for my taste. The reason for 3 stars? I ordered a cream cheese bagel. And with a $2.00 charge for avocado I think they could have been more generous with it. I barely got half of one. Overall though its a nice cozy place and I will probably be back because its a cozy space ;)

Poor communication. Poor service. I showed up at ten minutes to 4pm (they close at 5pm) and they didn't have any coffee and didn't want to brew more because they were closing. That would make a little more sense if they weren't a coffee shop, or, at least a cafe whose primary beverage is coffee. So I asked about the black teas. I was looking at the hot tea menu. He said, "you want iced tea? we have black or green." I told asked if the black was good and he shrugged, so I asked if it was strong and he didn't know. The other woman turned around to tell me he was new and didn't know. Ok. Much of this is bordering on ok for a cafe getting ready to close, but the service wasn't even present. I'm sure they were both tired. Probably. Maybe even a little resentful of their jobs? Maybe they just don't know what good service is but I'll tell you, after paying $1 for sweetened generic whipped cream from the outlet store (for my dog), the whole experience was not pleasant. 2 stars because I've been in the morning a couple of times just for a simple cup of Joe and the morning crew was much better at communicating. I don't want to be coddled. I just want good service, no matter what I'm buying. The Irish Breakfast tea is decent. My large breed dog had a couple licks of whip cream. Neither one of us is bowled over. I'd go one block over to Beanstalk cafe. They've always had good service, even once giving me a pastry I didn't order because I had ordered online and they didn't see it for 20+ minutes. And... they spoil my dog, which of course, is above and beyond. The one redeeming factor for Ashley's is if you just want a simple cup of coffee (before they stop brewing it) it's a decent price. I didn't get it today, but last time a couple of months ago it was $2.50. Anyway, long story short. Beware the business ethics. We could make excuses all day long, but getting down to it good service and basic ingredients (specific to the type of restaurant) are foundational. Long winded over a cup of Joe. Take that for what you will. But know, my dog doesn't conversate about these things. Haha.

Cheap, great tasting coffee with well-priced, delicious foods. I found Ashley's cafe a few months ago, and ever since then it has been a staple in my morning routine. I usually get the iced coffee with the lox bagel. The caffeine and hearty breakfast is enough to wake me up and get my day started. Would highly recommend if anybody is visiting the area, or needs a staple for their daily fix of caffeine and breakfast.

Bright sunny morning Cafe. Very local, neighborhood place. Quick friendly service. Check out their Misubi. Spam and other flavors. Cool local sourced table with donuts and other goodies. Nice ambiance inside. Will definitely be back.

I just feel like this is such a sweet cafe with a nice owner. And I liked my experience here. There’s a lot of tables and good sandwich options.

Their Turkey Avocado sandwich is SO delicious (honestly probably one of my favorites in SF). Love their chocolate chip cookies and coffee too. Ashley’s is easily my favorite place for lunch in the Richmond.

My coworker invited me to try a sandwich at Ashley's. I ordered a Turkey BLT. The sandwich roll was toasted and the ingredients were exactly as described in the menu. I offer the sandwich 2 stars. The price for my regular sandwich was $13.50. I can understand if the cost of the food reflects the quality, quantity and taste but my sandwich had neither. I definitely will not return. Overpriced and Overrated.

I love Ashley’s. We’re regulars, have been for over a decade now. I love anything with lox or salmon. It’s fresh sliced thin and delicious. Today I got the salmon salad and ate it so fast I forgot to take a picture. Another big bonus for me is the outdoor seating so that my dog Sweetheart can come with us. Also that homemade cookie is sinfully delicious!

Local coffee is always good but this corner cafe was so patient with my two little indecisive guys. Will be back for sure!

I went with a friend so she ordered a tuna sandwich. The tuna was sweet and she didn't like the bread.. She asked the lady to take it back and get something else on the menu. The lady wants to charge her more money to do another sandwich. This was a bad service and bad experience.I think this place going down the hill.No Recommendation for sure!Don't waste your money!!!!We have better places and better food and better service to spend your money!

Warm and cosy place to hang in the winter. I had a delicious handmade organic chocolate chip cookie with a gooey centre, and fairly good Earl Grey. However, they couldn't tell me the brand of tea they use in the shop when I asked before ordering. Also, do bring your own bottle or cup for water because they only have paper cups for water.

Bad coffee and very watered down smoothies. Unfriendly staff. Not worth the money.

This place is great! I always pick up a salmon + avocado onigiri from here whenever I forget my lunch. Although they have WiFi, there's not much seating and barely any outlets.
