Had an impromptu visit here and was thoroughly delighted with the service and quality of our meal, kids loved their pizza and I have to agree. Will definitely go back and enjoy more of the great selection of beers on tap. Stay Classy

We stayed in the Winery Family Suite, wonderful stay, such comfortable beds, beautiful history to absorb. We also enjoyed a lovely dinner with great selection of foods. Our stay was topped off with a great breakfast which was included in our stay . Very enjoyable and relaxing stay. Staff were all so welcoming and helpful. Thankyou

Beautiful gardens and a great place for a sundowner. Food was a little hit and miss, the burger was very good but the fish and chips were average, the. Vegetarian nachos were decent

Excellent room, clean and balcony overlooking the spectacular gardens. Evan at the hotel has exceptional customer service skills., Evan looked after us at breakfast and behind the bar. Melbourne Cup Day was well organized and a fun day. The buffet complimentary breakfast that came with our room booking was sensational. I can highly recommend this venue.

This was a lovely surprise for me and when we arrived, we had high expectations of this hotel, the accommodation rates rival some of the most expensive. Stayed for 2 nights in a single bedroom apartment with balcony which was well appointed though a little tired. The bedroom looked inviting however the mattress was incredibly hard and sleep was difficult to come by. The toilet seat was broken and the outdoor chairs needed some cushions. The menu is not huge, is the same throughout the venue and very expensive considering you need to line up to order and pay whether you're in the restaurant or the beer garden. Breakfast was scarce and service even more scarce. Not sure whether it was a manager or the owner barking orders at junior workers but it was unpleasant to hear. I shall always remember this stay as my partner proposed and suggested it as our wedding venue. The house itself is a lovely heritage building, set in an amazing location and has a great feel unfortunately it didn't meet our expectations.

Went to the pub for dinner and had the Wagyu burgers. They were huge, but very tasty. The chips were the best I've had in ages. Service was good and there was live music. Dog friendly and good wine.

I loved everything about the Gig at Caves House. The staff were very kind to help me set up my gear. The meals were generous and very tasty. The accommodation was very clean & convenient to where I was performing. I would love to go down to Caves House again and entertain at the most popular venue down South. I would highly recommend this resort full of entertainment & shows daily. Their rates were also very reasonable.

Stayed overnight as part of a whale-watching outing. Rooms are well-presented and clean. Only downfall… access to shower involves stepping into a spa bath which is quite high. This was fine for us but could be problematic for older people. Grounds were stunning for our afternoon walk. Also… dinner in the pub was spectacular. 10/10 recommended. Might stay another night just for the food. Thanks, Chef.

Beautiful Father's Day lunch, thanks so much!! 🥰 All the food was excellent, speedy service and we had three kids with us who had a great time! Very kid friendly menu and lots of places to explore. We will return!! Thanks to all! 😊

The rooms are well appointed and clean. The staff are friendly, and check-in and check out were smooth and relatively quick. The hotel is in a great spot for local landmarks, very close to caves and the beach. The included buffet breakfast was nice and served bang on time. The grounds are well kept and very pleasant for a walk, there are views of some local caves from parts of the grounds.

I sent an email reviewing our August 2023 stay. Email had suggestions how to improve service provided and information on their website. I have never received an acknowledgement of my email or any kind of response to issues I raised. Says it all really. Don't stay on a Tuesday, the pub is closed all day once breakfast has been served. They don't tell you that when you book to stay at the venue.

Just went here for dinner and the food was AMAZING. Had the special grilled cod and greens, absolutely beautifully cooked, and tasted delicious. It was the perfect size, I didn’t make myself sick eating too, was perfectly satisfied at the last bite. Also the staff were attentive and very friendly. Highly recommend, and I will be back.

Devine Accommodation. What an amazing old house with beautifully renovated modern rooms. We stayed in spring so it wasn't hot or too cold, just perfect. I do wonder how it goes in summer with just ceiling fans? However, the rooms are just gorgeous in this beautifully kept house and grounds. We loved the experience. Playing pool upstairs in a guests only private room, down stairs music playing on the piano accompaied with a lovely female voice, and groovy bands and music Sunday evening. A bit loud staying upstairs, but they give you fair warning about this in the booking explanation. The music didn't go on too late, so it was perfectly fine. The food in the restaurant was delicious at dinner, service was good too. Full buffet breakfast was lovely. Really nice stay for us (with kids). Very cosy and it would be a very romantic spot if you were to stay without kids.

Beautiful views, however good wasn’t very great. Service wasn’t fantastic either. Ask if they could bring out starter seperate and brought all meals out. Meal wasn’t very nice

Location is beautiful, BUT menu is tired and overpriced. If you are coeliac then be VERY careful, menu states GF, but some of it is definitely not! Cancelled all our table bookings for our stay and found a great place to chill and eat at the new place ‘Southcamp’ in Dunsborough. 😎

Asked for meal and 20 minutes later got the wrong mean delivered, went up to ask for correct meal and 20 minutes later got right meal. Asked waiter for extra lemon because the lemon served was extra small. Waited an extra 15 minutes with no lemon before another waiter approached table. We then asked waiter for the extra piece of lemon and said he would charge for an extra lemon piece. Partner said we will not be paying for extra lemon when the correct meal took over 40 minutes to arrive. Manager then went in partners face and asked him to leave the premises. Manager said he would then call the cops over a piece of lemon as we begun to leave. Manager then got aggressive and rude almost physically abusing partner when we said we would not pay for an extra slice of lemon. Manager continued to be so unprofessional and cause a scene saying he would stand there at my table and watch me eat, feeling absolutely violated. Left the premises before manager would have physically assaulted guest after he threaten to meet us outside. disgusting service and extremely poor service

Shout out to the beautiful Wyadup room (lobby) at caves hotel. For providing a quiet, dimly lit and peaceful sanctuary to dine in on the first night of our holiday in Yallingup. As a person who struggles in loud, bright and overly stimulating venues, the room was a haven for those who wanted to chat and connect with loved ones away from the band or take a quiet moment to themselves to pause from what is otherwise a bustling entertainment venue. (Would be perfect for nursing a baby in too) Thank you for providing an inclusive, low sensory space for patrons to relax in. Not everyone wants a big loud pub experience, but we still want to come and spend money in your venue. Loved the space and thanks for carving out an intimate corner so all people can feel welcome in your beautiful art deco period venue. ❤️

Yellingup is a beautiful area to visit, taking in Margaret River and the stunning coastline. The Caves house is a very well situated place to stay while in the area. Plenty of history in the Caves house hotel with all the old photos on the walls throughout the building. Very nice breakfast was included in the price of the room.

Great for a few drinks and some pub food like pizza or a parmigiana. Not a place if you’re looking for something fancy but we enjoyed our evening at the hotel. We were a bit let down by the markets as we thought there would be more locally produced items than there was but it remains a great family outing anyway - the French pastry stall is a must visit.

What an absolute gem of a place - their food was tastier than some of the fancy wineries in the area! And portions twice the size!! They have something for everyone here, the venue is huge, plenty of space, musicians on the weekend, pool table, tab, a great array of drinks, cool decor, fire crackling in winter time, perfect for a glass of red!

Review for the pub not the accommodation Very disappointing & quite expensive for pub grub. We arrived for lunch with a group of 6 First 2 meals arrived quickly and looked quite good, 20 min went by then the second 2 meals arrived, but the last 2 meals never arrived. We chased them up with wait staff which took some time again only for them to ask what we ordered. I asked after about an hour of first sitting down and seeing many of the meals that we ordered if they were not started could we just get a refund. as we were getting sunburnt just sitting there. Surely they would have taken the next ones off the pass that matched our order and maybe a free drink for waiting 40 min after the first 2 meals were served, but no not even an apology from the manager at all, he was actually quite abrupt as he wanted to refund it back to a card, but I said we paid with cash. Great location and atmosphere, but kitchen and manager let it down. Would like to have added a photo but…….

Didn’t stay at Hotel, but ate dinner as was recommended to us. Really disappointed with the food. Absolutely overpriced and food terrible. My husband had the ribs, finally got it after everyone had finished their meal. The ribs, full of cartridge and served with frozen gems. So $35 for cartridge and frozen Potatoes Gems. So disappointed, will find another place to eat next time.

The tasting platter was great, perfect size for 2. Atmosphere was lovely with a range of seating options including by the fireplace. Excellent service by the friendly staff.

The Hotel has a lovely ambience and beautiful gardens however we stayed in the Honeymoon suite and for the price it was disappointing. The room needed a little TLC, the shower head fell off, the fridge was not turned on and required acrobatics to find the plug, only some of the jets in the Spa bath worked and the wiring on the bed lamps was faulty. Very disappointing considering how expensive the room was

Our group of 8 had a wonderful time staying at Caves Hotel. It was a beautiful hotel and extremely clean and comfortable. All our meals were great, the Caves Burger was one of the best I’ve had.

Beautiful deck and lawn area for mingling. Food was delicious and substantial servings so definitely value for money! Suggestion that the venue thinks more about its accessibility, we had reserved lawn area and were told when booking there was wheelchair access to the lawn. This was not exactly the case, we had to escort our Nan right around the venue and use the lift at the accommodation, than had to push her through a gravel track and garden beds. Not very inclusive and daunting/embarrassing for our Nan that she was causing others to fuss, certainly an area to improve, BUT, we would return, Nachos are amazing! And staff were all friendly. Definitely suggest stopping in!!

Visited with a group of family and friends for a pre-wedding get-together. The grounds are extensive and we were allocated a lovely outdoor area. Our party ordered their own drinks at the bar and ordered food was brought out to us. We had the chicken parmy (of course) and it was generous and tasty. The live music for the night was folksy easy bluesy. Very nice to listen to.

A great country pub with so much history. Whether it be a pub lunch or a fancy dinner, Caves House has all bases covered. We have visited Caves House many times for a meal, a drink, live music, the markets even a lovely red by the fireplace. Caves House Hotel provides marvellous memories for many and pays a wonderful tribute to its past.

Beautiful location, stunning establishment and well worth a visit. Plenty of areas to eat and drink and just relax in a beautiful atmosphere. Pre-dinner drinks just delightful outside on the terrace - very relaxed with families, couples, groups, people walking their dogs etc and live music playing in the corner. Dinner that night was very nice even though COVID-staffing issues restricted the menu. We stayed in the original guesthouse in the honeymoon suite; very comfortable king bed and spacious rooms and while we loved returning there suggest these rooms are overdue for a refresh.

Lovely lunch, smoked salmon with chickpeas and salad. We sat inside next to an open window, it was lovely to feel a gentle breeze. The place was busy but we never felt rushed or overlooked. The service was just right. We shall be back😃

Didn't stay at the hotel just went in for lunch. Used to love eating at the back terrace overlooking a most spectacular garden. The food was always delicious, unexpected varieties, great servings. Well not any more. For the past one year we are constantly disappointed. Very ordinary, weak pub style, meals. Smelling of vegetable oil, the colourful rich salads are now a few spinach leaves with a tart aftertaste, serving sizes nowhere where they used to be. Such a shame, as it was one of preferred places to go. Used to take all our Perth friends when visiting. Huge fall in my book.
