I loved this location and gym. It was great for my family and I am extremely disappointed they decided to close it down "due to Covid". I find it interesting that they didn't permanently close YMCA locations in more upscale cities like La Jolla, and those were reopened with outdoor gyms asap. It's pretty obvious the Escondido location wasn't a big money maker for them if they were so quick to shut it down. They claim to care about families, family well being, and health but then close one of the few places in Escondido that offers those things. The negative impact this had on my family cannot be overstated. YMCA has lost my business forever.

I love the Palomar YMCA because it is clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and the price is definitely great. They do offer scholarships based on income. My family qualified for one, so I pay a mere $20 per month for 5 people. All of the classes I have tried have been very good. Right now, my favorite is Bender Ball because it is new and different for me. The thing that really makes this YMCA stand out for me is the salt water therapy pool. OMG... I am training for roller derby, and NOTHING gets my sore body to relax like a soak in the therapy pool! Lastly, I have a 10 year old son who comes to this YMCA with me. He loves the classes, swimming, and the workout room. There are many machines that he is able to use. There has been an upgrade recently. Many new machines and features have been added at this facility. I can't wait to go today to try them out. There are also many incentives to come work out or just relax, and free training in additional to the staff always available to help. Gosh, so many great reasons to come to this YMCA... Free days for people to come try it out ..

Waited 1 -1/2 hrs for covid test (12-28-21) along with at least 50 other people no one showed up but still had their A-frame with qr code out also of their website they stated they are open. At some point they changed it to temporary closed without informing people in line of course No one showed up and left us literally in the rain

At least when your local have an event and charge admission, at least turn on the air conditioning. The only thing the fan does is throw the same hot air.

The front desk, the swimming coaches and the staff in general are awesome, caring, friendly people. The members in the gym are super friendly. It's the best of San Diego Y,s. Why aren't they open yet???? My family misses being there :(

Just signed my daughter up for gymnastics class. The teacher didn’t want to be there and she was pretty rude. My daughter is 3 and has never done gymnastics. She kept telling her to do things that she’s never heard of. Telling her that “if you don’t do it you’ll have to go sit with mommy” there was no instruction. She had no idea how to do tumble.. I thought that’s what they taught in the class. Not expecting your child to know how to do everything at barely 3 years old?? There was no grace either. She just acted like my daughter was this huge burden when she just needed instruction. To learn. After all that’s why she’s there... pretty disappointed. We will try again. Hoping the next time it’ll be a different gal. 😔

Love it, a great place to workout, a friendly staff specially at kids watch or Gymnastic. I take my daughter to Gymnastic and she loves going. YMCA has helped me on every way, i really appreciated. I been a member for less than 6 months and im really happy.

I love their child watch. The staff there is the sweetest and my kids love going there. The facility itself is old but very clean and well maintained. I go to the gym, group exercise classes and pool and have no complaints.

My granddaughter visits and we started going to the Y for gymnastics. She was not happy the last 2 classes because the teacher couldn't be there and she didn't like the sub. It is a little pricey per class...but continued because my granddaughter liked it.

So disappointed they closed down the gym and family facilities permanently. Seem like YMCA only cares about the more affuent communities
