This is a great store with a lot of items you can’t find anywhere else. The owners are super friendly and provide great customer service. It’s clean, fresh foods, refrigerated and packaged groceries and a fresh case of Halal meats.

The management is great they have dropped their prices and checked all their experition dates all their stuff is fresh 👌

This place is neat and clean, food ready in 15min. Things are a little more expensive here but this is the only middle eastern store in this city. They have all middle eastern groceries needed. Owners weren't very social but they were very polite when we entered the store! Food was so delicious omg. We live in Dearborn, mi and this was the closest to middle eastern food! Do check them out

Seems to be family owned that's good. When I walked in for lunch. I was greeted by a man he was sitting down with staff/family eating lunch them self that doesn't bother me. The Ppl gotta eat too..... the man hoped right up to run behind cash box to help me and he entertained convo with me as well...... I showed him a pic of what I wanted and he was happy to assist me to the menu stating it's the number 3 ( My favorite dish) hints the pic I uploaded I love this type of food and I've tried 4 places like it in Bakersfield area, this place is close to my job here On Ming ave, so if all taste well I will for sure come back 5 stars to start off with out even trying the food I'm positive it will stay at a five if it's made to order and fresh can't wait to eat this place is a must come place ppl - Side Note when ur food is made to order be prepared to wait I've been waiting 15+ mins for my Togo order I'm not mad at that means it's hot and fresh so id say (Call Ahead )

I was there last weekend and let me tell you, it’s the best place to get your fresh affordable food, everything there is so good. You can’t compete with the prices and the equity for the food! It was a pleasure being there and really nice management! Best of luck!

I've been going to Sam's Halal since it's opening a few weeks ago. The owners are extremely nice and exceptionally accommodating. No matter what you need they are there to help. They source the best meats, fresh everyday and have a vast array of delicious menu items to enjoy.

The service was great. Their cooler was down so instead of just saying "sorry our cooler is down", the owner got me a cup with ice for my drink. The food was amazing! For an $11 plate, the quantity of food felt like I was having a buffet. Plenty of food for just one person. I couldn't even finish my plate and had to pack the rest. Will def visit again.

First time being here and Marlina and Sam both were very helpful, I came in close to closing and had a couple questions. They took the time to explain and recommended theirs personal favorite items; furthermore help me get to know their business and what they offer! Very great experience highly recommended!

Stopped by here based on the reviews of it being the best shawarma. Not worth the $30 . The chicken shawarma tasted like 2 day old rotisserie chicken, not middle eastern style chicken. My stomach hurt after eating it. The $5 fries were soggy and undercooked. The meat shawarma was mediocre, not as bad as the chicken. But still had pieces that were tough to eat. The store itself does not have anywhere to sit so the dine-in options means you’ll most likely be dining in the car. Wish my experience was better.

This is such an amazing place to visit if you are really looking forward to GREAT food. The employees were very kind and they give you a clear description of what is in the food the make, the duration it’s been in the store for and suggestions on even better options which may be available at later times. I had the Chicken Shawarma which tasted DELICIOUS and was made with LOVE. OUTSTANDING! Definitely recommend.

Under new management, is now "Khan's"! The owner is very kind and explained the dishes to me and my girlfriend. Honestly you can trust that everything on their menu is going to be very good. Freshly made and well seasoned at a good price. Also a good selection of grocery items to take home. I personally had the gyro sandwich and chicken over rice and my girlfriend had bihari boti. Excellent!

Good selection, produce and packaged goods and they have a deli now as well as a halal butcher and pre cooked food. One of the higher priced middle eastern markets in town. They are not accepting American Express at this time, only Master Card and Visa and EBT. There is a 5% charge to use your credit card.

Amazing food! I tried the kabob meal and my wife got the lamb. absolutely incredible, the meat was tender and smoky, the rice was flavorful, the hummus was incredible, the salad was fresh. My personal favorite part was a radish sauce side.

This is the only thing I look forward when I come to Bakersfield. Food is made right when you order it so, be prepared to wait up to 15 mns to 20 mns. But trust me...it's worthy.

I went by Sam’s when I was running errands recently. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, and they have a wonderful atmosphere. They changed it up a lot since last time I was here, definitely an upgrade. Worth checking out for sure whenever you’re in the area.

i was in the area and wanted to get some kabob, this place showed up and it had an overall 4.2 rating on Google so I tried it out, I got the 2x beef kabobs and the kabob itself was dry, definitely looked like it was in the fridge for months, it wasn’t fresh. It was expensive considering what you get, not worth it. Please stay away from this, very disappointing

We had our lunch here and the food was amazing & reasonably priced. We tried bihari kabob, karahi, chicken tikka & flat bread. Everything was fresh and tasted really well. The milk tea was also really good.The owner was very welcoming and the customer service was great. Would definitely recommend and will come back. Thank you!

One of the best Middle Eastern mark and restaurant all over Bakersfield. All there good is fresh and delicious even their Market has different variety of food, drinks and all products we need. Definitely recommend it 🤙👏

New Owners are incredibly nice. Everything in the store will be halal now. The meat is brought in fresh from local farmers. They bake the naan fresh daily. Luncheon meat. Pakastani and Persian fresh food coming. So proud to support this family business.

Wonderful people. We were traveling and hadn't had a decent cup of chai in a week. They had no chai available but the lovely lady behind the counter made some fresh for us and boy did it hit the spot! It was perfect. They also have halal deli meat, fresh meat, a restaurant, and many Desi grocery items . Everyone was so helpful and nice!

Shaheen Grocery store is the best arabic store ever .. we got a everything we needed cheaper then los angeles and they have restaurant inside the grocery and the food there very delicious 😋

The owners of the place are very nice and they have everything you want .. I loved the Arabic coffee they have very wonderful and the food is very clean and delicious and I bought my mother some canned goods and I was surprised by the prices that they are very very cheap

When we first moved to the area the options here were great- Since then these 3+ years later the stock has dwindled and quality declined. Restaurant went from 20+ items to about 6 generic, sad.
