New Train Museum is open at the Fullerton Transportation Center on (East side of depot). Cafe prices are "orange juice" for $0.30 and a "sandwich" for $0.70 what a deal. Desert will set you back $0.15. Who is responsible for this "gift" to the community? Harold Benash, president of the Southern California Railway Plaza Association, may have a serious condition called "train on the brain." Tours are "FREE" and hosted by the Southern California Railway Plaza Association (SCRPA). One of the most memorable cars is the 1929 "Red Caboose" which the Santa Fe line called "Way Cars."

A great window into train travels about 1950. This provides some great details about what would have been seen and used by some passengers on a 36 hour train journey. Fortunately I was able to have a sit down chat with one of the volunteers who was more than happy to recount his experiences and answer all my questions. Worth waiting to have this experience which is only offered the first and third Saturdays 9-noon. A fine edition to the City of Fullerton in DTF.

A great walk through American railroad history and the transit future that could have been, lost to the freeways and automobiles. Run by volunteers who are very passionate about railroads and trains and had a lot of personal memories to share. Stop by if you’re in town, and your plans would be on track. Please donate to keep them continue the great work. No entry fees.

Went to the Christmas🎄 event 2yrs now and love the museum! 🚂🚃🚃 Cute, quaint, and my kid adored it!! ❤❤ They say about 200 trains pass through Fullerton each day, making it the busiest station in So. Cal and many of the cars date back to 1940-50s have been restored. Volunteer options to really get involved!! Love this place! And special thank you to Santa and Mrs. Claus!!

I can't do a proper review because the museum was closed on Sat, Feb 2 at 10am -- due to 'rain' lol. Are these rail aficionados that run this place? Anyone who is passionate about trains would know a little light drizzle isn't going to take a train out of commission. I hope to come back, and I hope they are open when I do. I will say, there didn't look like there were many trains there. I was expecting an indoor small-arena type place with you know... maybe 50 trains or so. But I guess this is California. Not much enthusiasm for rail history here.

This is good pick and but the hunch is it opens only on 1st and 3rd Saturday’s . It’s all about 1950’s. Railway coaches . I spoke with the railway veterans they are really good to answer and has a good chat with them . As it’s a Christmas vibes they has something soedila for the visit who have come

Really great immersive experience seeing how trains used to operate. The volunteers were very generous with their time. I thought it was going to be like a 5 minute walk thru, but there's a lot more to see! Great for kids!

Everyone is nice but one volunteer by the name of Stephan is rude and disrespectful. He tried to start an argument with a friend of mine for no reason. It was really rude and disrespectful of him. I didn’t know they let anyone volunteer with attitudes
