Cool boulder-only gym. Kind of small, but great problems. Look on Groupon for small deals. Has parking lot.

Love this place and I miss it since I've moved away from the IE. It can get crowded since it's a little smaller, but everyone is really friendly. Just a FYI, but is bouldering only. They change it up often though!

All bouldering, really fun. Recently achieved my first v5 here, nice place too, and could be good for anyone of all levels; with practice

Nice clean cozy bouldering gym. If you just want to work on bouldering, improving strength and some cool routes without too much extra amenities, this place is great to workout in.

Not beginner friendly! I'm beginner/intermediate and can do most V2 routes, and some V3. I couldn't do a single V2 here (it was pretty discouraging) and I think I saw one V0 and maybe 2-3 V1's. Even the V0 was a bit more complicated than other locations I've been to. I'll be sticking with the Upland location until I am good enough to join the big boys here. There was a climber/employee who was updating a route while joining in with a group of experienced climbers. Makes me think that this gym have unknowingly catered itself to more advanced people. All the rocks were pretty worn in and you can tell because there's so much chalk residue and they're not grippy. Seems like this location takes awhile to change up their routes.

I love all the Hangar 18 gyms! This one is bouldering only, which is great for me. It's so nice to have variety in the IE when it comes to climbing. Sometimes they have events, which is super fun. Their prices are so much better than other gyms in southern California. Right now, membership is only $36 a month! It's a terrific workout, and bouldering has helped get me in the best shape of my life. And... It's fun for big kids too.

Great place for just bouldering. They do not have top ropes or high walls you need to visit the one in Monte Clair. This place is very spacious and they also provide fans when it gets hot. The other location does not. The reason why i gave 4 stars is because the location between here and the other location is pretty close and if you live more west these 2 are the closest. They didn't do too well in spreading the distance even though I know this place is near the Ontario mall in a densely populated and high traffic area. This facility is extremely clean due to it being fairly new. Lastly this place being pretty spacious compared to the other location, seems like they have almost the same amount of routes even though it isn't true. Hope to see more climbers out there. Also wish either this location or the other could provide an area just for strengthening grip.

Great Hangar 18 Climbing location. I really liked this Hangar 18 location. It is very spacious and clean. I also noticed that this one was very well-ventilated and didn't feel stuffy at all inside! The staff here is so friendly and I really enjoyed my experience here. It is good to note that this Hangar 18 is for Bouldering ONLY (i.e. no use of harnesses as you are only 10-12ft. off of the ground). The floor is all crash pads for when you fall. I personally enjoy bouldering a lot so I love that there are so many options. There are plenty of beginner friendly routes here too, so bring everyone!

My usual spot is Hangar Mission Viejo when I'm in school, but this place definitely does the job. A lot more of the routes here are designed for taller folks, making it harder for shorter folks (like myself) to perform static moves.

So far my favorite climbing gym. If you want to boulder this is the place to go. They change the routes often and everyone is quite friendly. No top rope here just bouldering.

Great variety of bouldering routes, no wall wall climbing but that's fine. Great for all levels of climbers and great community of people to be around no matter what level you are

Had a lot of fun!! Was worried I wouldn't be able to do much. But I actually climbed more than a few of the climbs!! Hands got pretty torn up, but hopefully they will toughen up with time.

It’s a beautiful place, different than any other hangout place for children or adults. For adventures you have to check them out. You will know why I’m saying that.

This little gym packs a lot of routes in for its small size. There are a wide range of climbing difficulties suitable for all climbers. The facility is small and very popular, so it fills up fast! Also, this gym only has bouldering routes, no top rope or lead options. But, they do have a really cool moon board!

These guys have the BEST setters! I've been climbing for about 5 years and bouldering here has been the most fun I've had in a long time.

This place is great. It's hidden away in the industrial area of the city. Parking is readily available even when it's busy. Whenever I go to this gym it's hardly ever busy and that's great. The people I see eat the gym are regulars. Everyone is nice and encouraging they help you when you are stuck on a problem. When the gym is busy there's still enough space to have a great time. The staff at this gym is the best always friendly and helpful.

This is an excellent climbing gym. They are a bouldering only gym, meaning no ropes, and no high walls. Excellent way to workout solo since you don't need someone to belay you. The routes are changed out pretty regularly, so there is always new and interesting routes to try. The music is always good and the staff are very nice and welcoming. Full disclosure I am a Hangar18 gym member and this is my local gym.

My local climbing gym where I first learned how to climb. This gym is bouldering only and contains mostly vertical walls. Easy to access with plenty of parking in an uncrowded complex. It can get a little busy during peak hours, especially Thursday night after the weekly section reset.

This worst experience ever! The manager Ethan is useless and have no experience as manager. I visited location one time with a Groupon coupon and now I’m a member? Being charged every month when I had no idea ! Be aware do not sign up for the $5 deal for an additional 30 days . They will sign you up for a member and charge your account $$$$$ every month . Once you call Ethan and try to get a refund he will over talk you out the phone and won’t let you get a word in . THE WORST Experience ever!!!!! BE AWARE of the SCAM tactics

Staff is whack. We were told at the upland location that if a guest using a guest pass subscribed that day for monthly, we would get the guest pass back. Me and my friend tried to explain to the staff here that our friend had gotten a month through his guest pass when we took him, and they didnt let us use it again though we were supposed to be able to. Instead of looking into it or helping at all, the guy who we waited over 10 mins for to help us just said "you can pay full price or leave" Go to upland.

So much fun crazy, they only have boldering (so no harness) but it is alot of fun, shoe rentals are free beware it is difficult if it is your first time, but don't be discouraged the rocks are marked to help you (:

My favourite of all the hangar 18 gyms. Even though it isn't big there's always a lot of variety in the climbs and a wide spread of difficulty. Staff is friendly and helpful and the overall atmosphere is great
