Very nice hotel. Modern, fun and bright decor in the rooms and the lobby. Furniture in the room was very comfortable and the bed was amazing as usual. Breakfast buffet was more than adequate and was provided free because of my loyalty status. Would definitely stay there again if I go back to Ft Lauderdale for another trip.

Very beautiful place. Silly that they charge for parking. Seems petty as there is ample parking there. Beds were super comfortable. Shower was good. Love the Aveda products. We did not eat there so I can't comment on food. We stayed here while seeing a show at the Hard Rock. Easy driving distance without being too far from the casino. Didn't want to pay to stay at the Hard Rock since prices were astronomical. I would stay here again for sure.

Wish I could give a zero. We had 13 rooms booked through a corporate account. When we arrived to check in, we were told they over sold by 11 rooms and moved some of us to what was not an equivalent motel style hotel. Both managers were rude and dismissive. We quickly scrambled as we need all of us at the same hotel for logistics. Only thing offered was a rude dismissive, not their fault attitude and a Lyft ride. Double Tree by Sawgrass was amazing and although an older hotel, their service and above and beyond Customer Service will have my future business.

I've been traveling to this area often for work and have had a hard time finding a decent hotel in the area. This Renaissance met all of my expectations. Clean, quick and friendly service, updated rooms, quiet and has a nice gym. See Hugo if you go to the restaurant, he's fantastic! The beds here are SO comfortable. I slept great every night. I also liked that while they don’t have a microwave in the room, they have one for guests in the grab and go area. My only wish is that they had coffee options before 7am, as I've been heading out early for work. I'm happy to have had a great customer service experience after what feels like far too long. Will be staying here going forward when I travel here!

I stayed here for work and didn't get to experience the hotel much, but would visit again! It had a lot of fun, whimsical touches. The staff was friendly and helpful and everything was clean. My one critique is that the blanket on the bed was really thin, not very cozy. But overall I enjoyed my visit.

We recently held an event at this venue, and there are several positive aspects to highlight. Firstly, the food served was delicious, and the facility itself was well-maintained and clean. Our guests appreciated the option to park their own cars, without the need for valet service. The employees were friendly and attentive as our guests arrived, which added to the positive experience. Moreover, the cost of renting the rooms was reasonable, and the location's proximity to FLL airport was highly convenient. However, it's worth mentioning that the events staff seemed a bit overwhelmed due to multiple events happening simultaneously. Unfortunately, this led to some issues, such as packages not being delivered, causing inconvenience both during and after the event. Additionally, communication prior to the event, whether through emails or phone calls, could have been more effective. On the positive side, the pricing for the meeting packages was excellent, and we highly recommend considering this venue for your next event. However, if you're planning on scheduling during a wedding weekend, it might be worth reconsidering, as it appeared there was a bit too much going on, resulting in some events receiving less attention than desired.

This hotel is a really nice hotel. The only thing bad I can say is the water pressure and water volume on the 9th floor is absolutely horrible. If honestly dont feel I was able to get a proper rinse off after soaping up in the shower, even with the handheld. It’s a shame because I loved the bathroom. Nicely equipped. I would recommend try a lower floor, that may help With the water pressure. But the price was more than reasonable the comparable Marriott Brand Hotels nearby. Would I stay here again? Absolutely, I will stay here on my next trip in hopes that a lower floor meets my shower needs. Btw, staff was great and as with all new remodels with hotels the desk chair sucks. Attached View and room.

Nice updated property. Would definitely stay here again. As a long standing member of their program I have to come to receive upgrades and other benefits. I was a bit disappointed to see the lounge closed for the weekend - even just as a place to sit and work outside of my room. I would also say the water pressure on the 9th floor needs to be looked into.

Kendra and Jonathan were ABSOLUTELY Wonderful. A1 customer service is definitely what they provided. They explained every single detail in regards to the room, dining, parking, events being held at the hotel, local things to do and much more. The room was very nice. It was clean, the towels were great quality compared to a lot of hotels I’ve stayed at recently, elevators were clean. I also like the fact that there was a microwave on each floor to accommodate the guests that needed one. I will definitely stay at this property again in the future. My opinion for the negative reviews I read, closed mouths don’t get fed. A hotel should not receive a bad review because you didn’t speak up for them to address your issues with your stay while there. There are a lot of staffing issues due to COVID and unfortunately the hotel industry is probably seeing a impact just like every other business. Thanks again for wonderful stay away from home!

While the hotel itself was clean with an attractive lobby, the customer service was below what I would expect. You must give 24 hours notice if you want your room cleaned and then I would recommend that you follow up to make sure your request is recorded. I stayed Thursday through Monday and although I requested the room be cleaned twice, it was never documented in the computer and therefore never cleaned. I had to request twice for someone to come get the dirty towels from the room and getting a full set of clean towels was a chore. The housekeeping staff was less than accommodating , as I had to chase down a cleaning cart to get fresh towels as the chamber maid ignored me while pushing the cart right by me. Certainly not worth the money and I would not return.

We had a good wonderful time while at the Renaissance! We will be back! Ms. Paulette made us feel right at home, top notch hospitality!! The beds are super comfortable!! If you need a good nice rest! This is where you should choose to stay!

To start with, this is a 4-star hotel only when I discount the missing amenities due to the post-pandemic general amenity reduction happening at hotels. If we ignore the missing club lounge and the pared back breakfast that now appears to be the standard at hotels now, this is a good hotel for a couple of nights during a business trip. Given the location among the suburban office parks, this isn't a great hotel for vacation trips unless you have a car with you since nothing is really reachable without one. The room was clean, the bed was very soft (if you like that), and the shower had good water pressure, even if the hot was nuclear hot. I'd definitely come back if I had another business trip to the area.

Bring your own pillows! I slept on their pillow and woke up to a burning sensations on my ear. The pillow smelled like chlorine when I got there. Do not sleep on their pillows. After they changed it out I woke up to my ear burning and severely itching. Its been swollen and red since. The service was off. Coffee, shower, and the heated pool was good.

We come every year to marriot either sheraton or renaissance we are members. First visit 2 weeks ago we stayed at renaissance we checked in at 11:00 for 2 rooms 4 nights without any problems. Today we came to check in same time reception told us we have to pay extra 50 usd for checking early eventhough rooms are available. Lady at reception said if we are not paying come back at 4:00 pm... We are staying total of 20 nights in that chain this month and every year past 10 years. and to be so rude and not giving a good servise as we used to have as a member for many years. I can pay the usd 50 no problem but not willing just as very upset from the entire attitude of the hotel. Will definitely not come again to renaissance plantation.

I’m a great location! Love staying here whenever I’m in town. Rooms are always clean and service great! Updated 9/23/2023 Horrible service today. Told a paying customer to move my car for “guests”. Had to park further in the back. Even getting to my room was a hassle. Was the president there or something? I’ve stayed at many hotels in my life and never had experienced anything like this. Very disappointing.

What an Amazing Hotel. The Location is Perfect to visit stores and restaurants in Broward County. 10 minutes from FLL Airport. The Staff are incredible. The Front Desk has Daniel I. that takes attention to every detail to ensure your stay is 5 Stars. I have stayed here more than 10 times and I intend to stay here for years to come. Special thanks also to Damian W. for taking care of us also. The Housekeeping crew are very friendly and professional, the Restaurant team is great. Jonathan, the chef makes the best Spinach Omelets . What can I say. I love this Hotel! Well Done!! Thank you for all you do!

Overall this is a nice hotel. Rooms have been updated and staff is friendly/helpful. The cleanliness could definitely use an improvement. Aside from the beds being made and towels folded, it didn’t really seem as if the room had been cleaned properly prior to my check in. The fitness centre was also in desperate need of a cleaning!

Pros: - Great showers! Handheld and stationary, bar soap. Controls accessible from outside shower - Nice lobby - Nice rooms Cons: - Parking. Plenty of it but there's a surprise charge and you have to go back to your car to place a ticket. - fridge didn't work (room 326)

DIRTY HOTEL ROOMS….I wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay at this hotel for any reason. I’m pretty sure they didn’t clean the room or change the sheets or towels. We found a dirty sock from a previous guest and towels. Barely any towels or wash clothes in the room before check-in. After speaking with the front desk about my experience, she asked were the items there before check-in or during the cleaning process. So confusing, but she said thank you for the update and we’ll let upper management know about your experience. No one wants to stay at a dirty hotel! FIND ANOTHER HOTEL!! DIRTY

Really cute hotel in a great area. Service was really good. Kendra at the front desk was great and really made me feel welcome when she checked me in. Already planning on my next trip back.

I stayed at the Renaissance hotel for a business trip to Fort Lauderdale. The staff was very friendly I liked that when I approached the front desk the staff member instantly moved to the lower desk to assist me. The lobby was brightly lit and nice decor, and I was able to navigate well in my wheelchair . The elevators were a nice size, and the carpet wasn't to thick and easy to roll on to get to my room. The door was a little heavy and my son struggles a little to open it, however once inside I loved the hard wood floors and open room layout. I could navigate easily in the room and bathroom. The view was really nice, and I liked that the curtains operated with a remote control. We checked with just enough time to order dinner before the kitchen closed. The meal was tasty and gave us large portions. I had the shrimp and grits while my son had a burger & fries. Since the kitchen had such short hours the next day we ordered lunch through DoorDash. It seems that many people order food this was, so it as easy to get our meal without problem and at it downstair in the lounge area. My son approved of the music that was playing in the lobby too. The only snapfu was the alarm went off on 02/15 in the morning saying there was an emergency situation on my floor. We were instructed to go to the nearest stairway to evacuate the building, however I am on the 9th floor and in a wheelchair. My son and I got dressed and proceeded to the stairs. Before we could push the emergency intercom button a staff member appeared. Once he saw I was in a wheelchair he immediately contacted other staff members to see what the problem was, and how to proceed to evac me from the hotel. We were never left alone and pretty quickly the situation was investigated and determined it was a malfunction of some sort and I was cleared to go back to my room. The staff we encountered from the front desk to the individuals that cleaned our room was so kind and helpful, which made our stay nice. If I am back for another business trip I would happily stay here again.

Not a happy experience with the hotel staff. I had a long day of travel just to get to the hotel after 2pm and be told my room wasn’t ready and still needed to be cleaned. After my conference I get my key and settle in my room just to find that the deadbolt on the door won’t go in and prevents the door from closing when trying to exit the room. I had to take my bags and go back down to the front desk. They tell me the locks do that and so should yank on the handle repeatedly. For safety reasons I tell them that’s not okay and request a different room. They tell me they are completely booked and have nothing for me. The only resolve was that they would send someone up to fix the lock. I had to accept that. The frustrating part was that no one seemed to really care about my safety concern. It would have been nice for a manager or staff member to walk up with me and see the problem and then also go with me to ensure it was fixed. Instead I go up just to find that it wasn’t fixed and my colleague and I figure out a work around which is to swipe my key card when I exit the room so they deadbolt will go in and allow the door to close. Disappointed in the lack of customer service. Where is Chick Fil A training when you need it?

What a wonderful hotel for business travelers! My husband was there for training and I tagged along since I work remote. The rooms are clean and spacious. We also were upgraded to the clubhouse floor which was cool and we received free breakfast and evening reception. The pool area was always pretty quiet and relaxing. I loved the wildlife in the pond and plenty of outdoor areas to relax. Service was awesome! Easy Uber ride to dowtown Ft. lauderdale as well. Walkable to a fantastic mediterranean spot that has wonderful pita sandwiches . I am a real fan of this hotel!

I’ve been coming to this hotel for 7 years for business. The refresh had made the hotel, light, bright and beautiful! The staff is what makes this hotel. Front desk crew is friendly and efficient. Kennedy in the bar is amazing. He is friendly and remembers what you like. Can’t say enough good things about him- a true gem. Damian in the F&B department was wonderful. He put on a dinner for 250 of our clients with ease…. Food was very tasty and the service was top notch. Our clients were very happy and an event that large is not easy to pull off-well done! Thank you all!

It's pretty much a typical Marriott property. Both the service and the food quality were what you expect at a Marriott property, excellent. For my preference, the room was smaller than what I anticipated at a Renaissance hotel, but it was well appointed and very clean. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

Today was my first time staying at the hotel. Check in started of great with Daniel at the front desk. He greeted us and was extremely pleasant. Everything went left when Brittany (front desk) jumped into the mix. She was standing off to the side during our conversation with Daniel. Without greeting us or introducing herself, Brittany began demanding to know who would be staying in the room and a host of other questions which I’ve never been asked upon checking in anywhere. It was all very strange. Brittany does not have the disposition to be working at a front desk anywhere. Marriott bonvoy members deserve better.

  • 3/5 Salima G. 11 months ago on Google
The rooms were comfortable and clean but the hallways smelled musty. Our TV didn't work and I was surprised that they didn't have coffee in the morning even though we were told they would. No one was at the front desk for a while so we couldn't ask. We only found one employee working in the breakfast area and the poor woman was so stressed out trying to accommodate a large group of people there for a convention that we didn't want to bother her.

Stayed there for work. The rooms are nice, the amenities are nice, the location is nice but I have never understood why the more a hotel costs the less you get. Breakfast, which is a buffet self-serve type of affair, costs $22.50 and they tack on a $4.50 "service fee" even though they do nothing. A 20% tip for a buffet? I had 2 sausage links, 3 strips of bacon and a scoop of scrambled eggs and it was almost $30. I get that included with my room at a Fairfield Inn and the room is a third of the cost! I'll stay there if the company says so but i won't be staying on my own.

So, the hotel itself it fantastic. Clean and stylish rooms, nice showers, comfy beds, and the wings, truffle fries, and truffle mac are all fantastic! What made me knock off 2 stars is the breakfast. We called down to find out how much it was (because it's not included) and the lady told us that if we get an omelet it could be up to $18 dollars. Well, next day we go down and this breakfast is pitiful. They are out of bagles, no white bread for toast, took 20 minutes for pancakes to come out. So if you're good with eggs, bacon, and potatoes go for it. But know it's a $22 breakfast.....with an 18% service charge for the server. While she was polite, all she did was bring me a cup of tea and took 2 plates. Nothing else, I'm sorry (I'm an ex server) that's a 10% tip and considering that I just spent $44 on one of the most sad breakfasts I've ever had, $4.40 is plenty for you to bring me a cup of tea and clear 2 plates. Also, if you wanted an omelet there was no one at the station, so sorry for your luck. So, don't get douped like us, go somewhere else for breakfast and pay less for better food.

This is a wonderful hotel. Everywhere is extremely clean, even the public bathrooms. The room that I stayed in was quite cozy and the scenery from my room is to die for. The pics that I share here were taken from that room. I was there for a conference and things ran smoothly generally. Everywhere is extremely cold though. The food was good for the most part. However, the so-called continental breakfast that was given to our group left much to be desired. There were no eggs, bacon, french toast, etc. The bathroom in the room that I stayed in was clean and big enough. However, there was a plumbing issue that I didn't expect. While I was showering, I realized that the water was not going down the drain as fast as I expected. It dissipated after about an hour. That was a blemish. Apart from that, the room was fine. Would I recommend this hotel? Yes, I would. Just ensure that, if you go there with a group, you eat breakfast in the restaurant. And wear something that would keep you warm wherever you go in the hotel.

One of the best Renaissance's I've stayed at. Very friendly service and very accommodating. I arrived on a Tuesday evening and they were giving out free Margaritas! Though i don't recall the name of the young man who checked me in, I will say that he was very friendly and helpful. He was able to answer all my questions regarding the hotel services as well as questions I had about the area. When I had issues with the TV, someone from engineering promptly arrived and helped me resolve the issue. Overall great location, great staff, and great service. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms clean and modern. Whenever I come back for work, I'm certainly staying here again!
