I
stayed
at
the
Renaissance
hotel
for
a
business
trip
to
Fort
Lauderdale.
The
staff
was
very
friendly
I
liked
that
when
I
approached
the
front
desk
the
staff
member
instantly
moved
to
the
lower
desk
to
assist
me.
The
lobby
was
brightly
lit
and
nice
decor,
and
I
was
able
to
navigate
well
in
my
wheelchair
.
The
elevators
were
a
nice
size,
and
the
carpet
wasn't
to
thick
and
easy
to
roll
on
to
get
to
my
room.
The
door
was
a
little
heavy
and
my
son
struggles
a
little
to
open
it,
however
once
inside
I
loved
the
hard
wood
floors
and
open
room
layout.
I
could
navigate
easily
in
the
room
and
bathroom.
The
view
was
really
nice,
and
I
liked
that
the
curtains
operated
with
a
remote
control.
We
checked
with
just
enough
time
to
order
dinner
before
the
kitchen
closed.
The
meal
was
tasty
and
gave
us
large
portions.
I
had
the
shrimp
and
grits
while
my
son
had
a
burger
&
fries.
Since
the
kitchen
had
such
short
hours
the
next
day
we
ordered
lunch
through
DoorDash.
It
seems
that
many
people
order
food
this
was,
so
it
as
easy
to
get
our
meal
without
problem
and
at
it
downstair
in
the
lounge
area.
My
son
approved
of
the
music
that
was
playing
in
the
lobby
too.
The
only
snapfu
was
the
alarm
went
off
on
02/15
in
the
morning
saying
there
was
an
emergency
situation
on
my
floor.
We
were
instructed
to
go
to
the
nearest
stairway
to
evacuate
the
building,
however
I
am
on
the
9th
floor
and
in
a
wheelchair.
My
son
and
I
got
dressed
and
proceeded
to
the
stairs.
Before
we
could
push
the
emergency
intercom
button
a
staff
member
appeared.
Once
he
saw
I
was
in
a
wheelchair
he
immediately
contacted
other
staff
members
to
see
what
the
problem
was,
and
how
to
proceed
to
evac
me
from
the
hotel.
We
were
never
left
alone
and
pretty
quickly
the
situation
was
investigated
and
determined
it
was
a
malfunction
of
some
sort
and
I
was
cleared
to
go
back
to
my
room.
The
staff
we
encountered
from
the
front
desk
to
the
individuals
that
cleaned
our
room
was
so
kind
and
helpful,
which
made
our
stay
nice.
If
I
am
back
for
another
business
trip
I
would
happily
stay
here
again.
