Beautiful place, excellent hiking and loads of animals. The biodiversity is amazing. I took the trail along the beach from La Carate to Sirena, which is strenuous but absolutely worth it. Turn off here is the trash washing up on the beach. Apparently the rangers try to clean it up but it’s just too much. Would be great too clean this up as it absolutely spoils the experience and is bad for the wildlife too. May I suggest everyone who hikes here to pick up a piece or 2 and bring it back with you?

Corcovado National Park is ecologically varied and is one of the most biologically intense places in the world. This park is located on the Osa Peninsula, one of the most remote parks in the country and one of the most spectacularly beautiful. The park is extremely hot, humid and rainy most of the year, but it is great fun to hike through the dense vegetation that opens up to wonderful beaches. It is very popular to hike here and there are four ranger stations, strategically located next to each other. Taking a guided tour is the best way to observe the park as there are many wild animals roaming everywhere. You can reach Corcovado National Park via Puerto Jimenez or Drake Bay. These two towns are the main gateway to the park.

This place is amazing. Unbelievably cool and educational experience. A must do if you’re in Costa Rica. It is hot and the walk can be hard work, we did about 20km in the heat so be prepared. The local guides are amazing and share lots of information and are able to spot animals that the untrained eye wouldn’t be able to spot. Honestly, looks like Jurassic park - I was expecting to see dinosaurs!

Saw many animals and very wild experience. Food at the cafeteria was great. Overall nice experience. Saw the installations and I am not sure i would have stayed 2 days (with 1 night sleeping)

An incredibly raw experience of natural jungle We hiked a around the area but didn't do any of the expensive tours, we saw everything, the animals don't know the boundaries of the park Ig @avrahamedery

Corcovado is like no other place on Earth! The wildlife you can see in just one day tour is incredible! The best Corcovado tours are out of the Jaguar's Jungle Lodge because they are right next to the park! Most other establishments are in Drake Bay which is actually a bit far from the park. At the Jaguars Jungle they also have their own reserve on the park border that you can explore for free! At The Jaguar's Jungle there are also loads of tapirs that come right up to your cabin!

Worth visiting if you're around BUT watch out for rip-off tour operators. Below is the official price list of one of the operators. Precio Neto is the column you're interested in. We took a really nice tour with these guys (saw a big boa, sloths, passion flower and a host of other interesting animals and plants) BUT were disappointed when they asked us at the end to pay, on top of the official price, the alleged commission that we had agreed to with another tour guide from Manuel Antonio who referred us to Corcovado. That guide did nothing but mention that Corcovado is with visiting and tell his colleagues in Corcovado that we may visit. For that he expected $30/person, which led to a long, unpleasant discussion at the end of the tour because, even with this commission on top of the official price, we were still off the chart of the official price list. Save yourselves the trouble and go straight to the Perla del Sur or another tour operator in Corcovado, instead of arranging tours via middlemen. As for the park, except for the boa and passion flower, we saw no new plants & animals from what we saw in Manuel Antonio, but the landscape in Corcovado is different and remarkable. The guide was fantastic: he took great pics for us through binoculars.

One of the most remote and awe inspiring places I’ve ever been to! Highly recommended as this is arguably the most biodiverse regions in the entire world. Boasting many species that only live here! So happy that the Costa Rica 🇨🇷 government has protected most of the Osa Peninsula with this incredible national park! Pura Vida

I had the opportunity to spend three days and two nights at this beautiful national park, and it was an amazing experience. With the assistance of a private guide named Oscar Cordero, I was able to see a wide variety of animals during my visit. Oscar's knowledge and expertise greatly enhanced my time in the park. I highly recommend him for anyone looking for a knowledgeable guide to enhance their national park experience.

Unbelievable amount of wildlife over the course of a short hike! The park is unlike anywhere I've been before, and totally worth it to hire a guide. The sirena ranger station area was particularly great.

We had a wonderful time trekking through the jungle and seeing wildlife. We were lucky enough to see a range of birds, owls, scarlet macaws, insects, sloths, monkeys, wild boars, fish and a tapir. The camp facilities were clean and the dinner was tasty. We really enjoyed our trip in the nature. I would recommend hiking one way and then going back either on an alternate path or taking the boat back to Drake Bay to experience more of the beautiful Corcovado. Of course it can be very hot while trekking on the beach so you should take sun protection like hats, sunglasses and sunscreen. You cannot trek the park without a guide so do some research and hire someone from a good company. Our guide was excellent.

Absolutely incredible. Our tour guide Carlos was amazing! We visited Sirena and San Pedrillo. We got to see lots of wildlife and huge trees. I highly recommend you were either jeans or long pants, they may not be the most comfortable option but you’ll be thankful, they will protect you from insects and roots. Get a towel and swimsuit so you can swim in the waterfall, bring some binoculars with you if you happen to have a pair. Also don’t forget to bring lots of water, the hike is intense specially in San Pedrillo.

Great park! We booked a tour with a guide. We were a small group and our guide, William, was very knowledgeable and really went a step further to make sure we saw everything nature had to offer. We saw 3 different kind of monkeys, a tapir, many birds, etc. We even saw some whales on our way to the park. The lunch on site was really good and included in the tour. Strongly recommended!

Went here with a school group in spring of 2022. Guides were amazing, weather was fantastic, and saw a huge variety of wildlife. Our guide took us to many amazing viewpoints and even a swimming hole, and was excellent at taking magnified pictures through a sporting scope.

Pure nature! I’m so glad we decided to visit this park. Beaches there are breathtaking. It’s like setting foot on a virgin land. It’s very authentic and wild. We saw an anteater, several types of birds, spider monkeys, a beautiful waterfall... It’s definitely worth it.

Wonderful experience. Must see if you enjoy wildlife and walking through nature. It is a bit of a trek to get there but it sure is worth it. Recommend staying in the park at least one night but you should try to stay for two if you can swing it. Accommodations are on the rustic side but they are super clean and well kept.

It’s amazing! I did love it. If you travel to Costa Rica you should definitely come here. We saw all 4 types of monkeys that there are in Costa Rica 🇨🇷 (spider monkeys, squirrel monkeys, capuchin monkeys and howler monkeys). Scarlet macaw, red-lored parrot, toucan, coati and etc

Amazing place, the best experience we had in Costa Rica. Definitely recommend the overnight tour with staying in the Ranger Station because otherwise there isn’t enough time to explore everything

Beautiful park where lots of animals can be spotted. Great tour guide Gustavo! Boat tour from Drake Island to Sirena station was great. Don’t be afraid of the big waves on departure and arrival!

Great place to be, but the ultimate experience comes with a guide. Although it looks expensive it is not. You get a lot of knowledge and the opportunity to o serve m many animals.

If you can, do a day trip (recommend Bahia Adventures) here whilst in Costa Rica, you won't regret it. We saw a tonne of wildlife and totally different animals to anywhere else in the country. Just fabulous!

Wonderful place with an amazing fauna and flora. Certain location can be entered through sea/on a boat only and you need to rent a guide to enter. They say that reservations are needed in advance, especially in high seasons. We loved the place and see many or birds, monkeys, crocodiles, insect and tapirs in aditiojbto beautiful flora.

This National park is very protected and different guided tours are offered. Advice: book your tour in advance as entries per day are limited. You’ll have the opportunity to see parrots, crabs, snakes, insects, tapir, sloths, monkeys, many species of birds and discover the secrets of the jungle!
