Beautiful views of Ghats at the bank of river Ganga, especially in evening. Light decoration at bridge spellbound passers-by mostly. Photography lover must visit. Lightings at ghats are also mesmerising. Oldest double decker bridge of this region, very well maintained. Lovely experience.

Renting a boat in Varanasi proved to be a mixed experience. At a reasonable cost of 100 per person for a shared boat, the journey from Manikarnika to Assi Ghat offered picturesque views of the city's ghats. The shared arrangement, however, slightly impacted the overall tranquility of the ride. Despite this, it remains an affordable and enjoyable option for exploring the unique beauty of Varanasi from the river.

First of all it was built by the British.Today, about millions of people cross the bridge. This is a very beautiful and attractive bridge. It is also adorable. The train passes under this bridge. This train goes towards Mughalsarai via Banaras Cantt.

Malviya Bridge, inaugurated in 1887 (originally called The Dufferin Bridge), is a double decker bridge over the Ganges at Varanasi. It carries rail track on lower deck and road on the upper deck. It is one of the major bridges on the Ganges and carries the Grand Trunk Road across the river. It has 7 spans of 350 ft and 9 spans of 110 ft and it was the first bridge of its type constructed in the Indian sub-continent by the engineers of Oudh and Rohilkhand Railway (O&R Railway).[2] The engineer in charge of construction of the Dufferin Bridge was Frederick Thomas Granville Walton, who went on to become the Engineer in Chief of the Oudh and Rohilkhand Railway company.[3] The bridge was renamed as the Malviya Bridge in 1948 after Madan Mohan Malaviya. As the bridge is near Rajghat, it is also locally known as Rajghat bridge. Malviya Bridge is between Kashi, Varanasi Junction and Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction (Mughalsarai Junction) stations. In Rudyard Kipling's story The Bridge Builders, the bridge is given the name Kashi Bridge, after the nearby city also known as Varanasi. Dufferin Bridge's opening ceremony was delayed because of floods; the Kashi bridge in the story also faces similar problems due to flooding just before it was opened to public.

This is a historical and sweetest place, this is a very old bridge about 100-year-old, near the Kashi station, this bridge has both the facility road and rail line, it is a very clean and beautiful place, you can also enjoy the boating at this place, many people came here to see this historical place and enjoying here. According to me, this is one of the best place.

Most beautiful temple. The Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple, located in the holy city of Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India, is one of the most revered and ancient temples in the country. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, it holds immense religious significance for Hindus worldwide. The temple is a symbol of spiritual enlightenment, divine grace, and eternal bliss. The history of the temple dates back thousands of years, with the original structure believed to have been built in the 11th century. Over the centuries, it has undergone several renovations and expansions, resulting in its current grandeur. The temple complex is adorned with intricate carvings, domes, spires, and a magnificent gold-plated Shikara. The sanctum sanctorum houses the sacred Jyotirlinga, a powerful representation of Lord Shiva. Devotees from all walks of life flock to the temple to seek blessings, offer prayers, and perform religious rituals. The air resonates with the sound of sacred chants and the fragrance of incense. The temple not only serves as a spiritual center but also as a significant cultural and architectural landmark. It attracts scholars, historians, and tourists from across the globe who marvel at its magnificent architecture and immerse themselves in its divine aura. The Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple stands as a testimony to India's rich cultural heritage, religious traditions, and the enduring devotion of its people. It continues to be a beacon of faith, drawing millions of pilgrims each year who seek solace, enlightenment, and a deep connection with the divine.

India is known as the land of temples and religion. With so many different castes and communities all following their own respective religions, India is a marvel just for the fact that it is able to exist with such unity in diversity. Hinduism is Indiaโ€™s most followed religion and as such, India is full of religious places and pilgrim destinations. One such state which is known for its pilgrim tourism is Uttar Pradesh. It is full of religious places with temples that attract pilgrims and religion enthusiasts throughout the year. These cities and towns in Uttar Pradesh are not just popular on account of the temples and pilgrims but also for their beautiful geography. A visit to these pilgrim centres in Uttar Pradesh is the most genuine tour of India you can ask for. Some of these places are extremely crowded due to their popularity while the others are quaint towns and villages which have great religious significance but are not as commercial as the rest.

the ganga Aarti was the highlight of our visit to varanasi...it was mesmerizing to say the least....the crowd was huge due to the durga Pooja holidays but well behaved and very participating....the boat ride with the story teller was spectacular especially on the way back when after the sunsets all the ghats are well lit and the scene is breath-taking...experience it to believe...must do activity when at varanasi.

The Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi, India, is a sacred and revered site for Hindu devotees. Known for its historical significance and intricate architecture, the temple attracts pilgrims from around the world. The spiritual ambiance and the Ganges River nearby add to the overall experience. However, due to its popularity, the temple can get crowded, you will need be patient for darshan, although if you visit the temple early in the morning you can get Darshan within half an hour, impacting the ease of exploration. Despite this, the cultural and religious richness make it a must-visit for those seeking a profound spiritual journey.

"Tu Kisi Rail Si Guzarti Hai, Main Kisi Pul Sa Thartharata Hun..." That song from 'Masaan' always reminds of this bridge. Have seen this place since childhood brought up in a boarding school next to it. It is a double decker bridge built in the British times having a road and railway passage over it. Once can get a view of River Ganga and almost all the ghats of Banaras.
