The food is really good...one of those hole in the wall places that at first glance you may not want to eat there....but you should. Service? They get cooked and to you quickly but man they are just short of rude, you say "how y'all doing" or something that has nothing to do with you buying something it's strange looks and walking away lol foods actually good so if they work on making the dining area look better and fix the attitude they'd definitely be more popular.

An adorable child was running the register after a woman took my name for the order. He took my card and ran it as I was standing there and gave me the receipt to sign. I was really surprised how well he did. He will grow up to become a great business owner some day. The manners and smile was great.

I ordered take out and the food was ready right on time. The staff was polite. The quality of the food was not good. It was either over cooked, or it sat in a warmer for hours and hours. It had no flavor and no spice. The bland orange chicken was doughy chicken nuggets in a watery orangish sauce. The spicy noodles weren't spicy at all but tasted like old peas and carrots. The shrimp toast was burnt but had a nice flavor and might have been good if not so blackened. The rest was just plain bad. The dessert was the only exception it was sweet little balls of deep-fried dough rolled in sugar which were yummy. While the portions were very large, we ended up throwing most of it away because we would not want to have to eat it again.

Today was my first time ordering from Chengs and I was very pleased with the service. I also have to say that for the price you pay, the portions are out of this world 👍 and to top it off, they gave us a free dessert that was incredible. I will definitely be going back and highly recommend this place.

Food is warm, far from the best Chinese food I have experienced, restaurant is dirty. Staff was pleasant and kept our classes full.

Well me and my three buddies were looking for some decent food and we found it not. The Mai Fun is anything but fun. Some of the worst general tsos chicken you have ever eaten. My cousin found a throwing star in his “beef”. My friend tasted nothing but ocean water in his sushi. The special roll is everything but special. Overall the whole experience makes me ashamed of the man I am. The fries will put you in a deep state of depression. The ice cream wasn’t bad, but it did make my cousin poop himself.

I should of known from the filthy entrance and windows not to eat here! Never again. My guest and I got completely different foods from buffet. Everything was cold. Except for served hot tea. My guest politely went to hostess stand to tell them. He was ignored. I went to hostess stand and she took out thermometer and said you check. Then told me we “got to much” on our plates suggesting that was why cold. We just sat down with plates. Seriously! Then said “you pay half”, wouldn’t give me her name and said she didn’t know manager, they were not there, to call. Not only food cold but service horrendous, rude and unprofessional. Do not dine here! #newarkhealthdepartment
