The resort is ideally situated right on or near the beach, providing guests with unobstructed views of the sea or ocean. This allows for stunning sunsets and sunrises. The resort offers easy access to the beach for guests to enjoy walks and swimming. It provides a peaceful and serene atmosphere, where the sound of the waves and the gentle sea breeze create a calming ambiance. Ultimately, the appeal of Landmark resort with a good beach view lies in its ability to provide a peaceful, natural setting and memorable vistas, making it an attractive destination for travelers seeking a beachfront escape.

The common areas are great, as is the outdoor space on the beach and bar. Food (buffet breakfast and restaurant meals) were pretty good for the price. Our room was okay, comfortable bed and nice size. The floors were filthy from our first steps inside. The bottom of my feet were dark brown within a step or two in our room. The balcony was also filthy, with obviously months if not years of dust and grime caked up including on the outdoor furniture. Our shower was clogged to the extent it flooded the bathroom each shower. We flagged this repeatedly with the front desk (3 times over our 3 day stay). Each time we were promised they would fix or move our room but they never actually did anything. We also did not get our room cleaned the whole stay, despite leaving the clean request outside our door and asking reception directly. One day the cleaner moved the clean request back inside and only replaced two towels rather than do any cleaning. This hotel is definitely not 4 star as advertised on our booking platform but was a pretty good value for the cost/location/outdoor amenities if you ignore the cleanliness and customer service issues.

One of the most horrible service recieved Checked in yesterday with family and water was not available (2 hours+) we were told technical issue please be patience 5 minutes which transgressed to 2 hours. The staff were extremely impolite no one ever greeted any of us and each and every complaint we had was just ignored and we kept getting told we are coming to sort this or that issue. (FALSE HOPES) We checked into 2 rooms both TV'S and both balcony lights were not working! We complained about these issues since 10 am. At 12 am at night is when one of the room's TV was replaced and then we could not watch TV at that time we wanted to watch TV earlier obviously also the balcony lights were just for show and needed to get replaced. How is that my issue. You pay for a room you expect everything to be fully functional and worth the full experience you pay for At the end before checking out I spoke to the manager of the one who deals with all the rooms who was extremely unprofessional and told me in conclusion we will call the fundis and check out our lights and TVs and get them sorted one of the rooms you have already replaced the TV at midnight the other you did not give us the remote for it. Finally she didn't want us to get compensated with anything for this horrible experience and poor customer service instead I asked her what can you do to help me with this poor experience she replied me I can't help you with anything I'll just improve on the maintenance of the rooms how would that benefit me what kind of hotel is this!? Would not recommend in terms of customer service and value for money.

Great ambience! Swimming pool and Seaview king room was breath taking for sure. They need an upgrade on the rooms for sure, clogged bathroom! Crooked bed was so uncomfortable! Had to change for another room. The stuffs really needs some serious training. Had the worst experience ever! The receptionist by name 'Shakira' gave us worst room, a crooked bed! Booking for king size room I didn't expect for a crooked bed!Gladly next day room was changedto another roomby a male receptionist, can't remember his name. Then the stuffs seating by bar areas giggling and laughing so loud!! Like seriously!!? Waiters and waitresses not attentive, I made an order for food and they brought the wrong food three consecutive nights! Glad there was a supervisor called Amina that helped us and they made the right order and I was greaful for her. So much to say......

Where do I begin. I wish the inside looked half as good as the outside. The rooms needed Stanton desperately. Door wasn't easy to open or close. The lighting was horrible. So dim we needed a flashlight to do things after dark. Bathroom was decently decorated, but not well clean. Bed poorly made up. Bathroom smelled like cigarette smoke. They did have decent channels for television, great view of ocean, beautifully kept outside where pool was, and a/c work. Wi-Fi was up and down. Staff doesn't speak fluid English so if you speak English and not Swahili getting things done can be challenging. Food was not the best, and no shuttle service quite a distance from airport. So much potential hoping for a turn around but next trip seashells millennium best option, for value, appearance, cleanliness, and hospitality

Worse experience I have ever had at a hotel. I made the booking since August 2023, only to arrive at the hotel in December 2023 and be told that the room is not available. I arrived at the hotel at 4pm and was not given a room until 9pm.... waited 5 hours to be checked in. At 9pm when I was taken to my room, the Air conditioning was not working, the room was so hot and extremely unbearable. No towel or any basic bathroom necessities (i.e. soap) were provided. After being so patient, I eventually requested my refund and booked a different hotel, 40min away, in the middle of the night. You would think a big-name hotel of this size would at least have proper scheduling of its paying customers and service its air conditioning systems. In the extreme heat of Daresalaam, it's disappointing that a hotel of this size does not even have portable air conditioning systems as a backup when the split system fails. I am generally a positive person; however, this hotel made me a very, very unhappy customer ๐Ÿ™.

We were so looking forward to spend some time at the beach with our toddler playing around the shore but unfortunately their beach is so dirty and they couldn't even tell us before entering as we did specify that we wanted access to the beach. Immediately after seeing the filthy beach side we asked to leave and be refunded as well, as we did ask before paying at the entrance if we could use the beach and they assured us that we can. Unfortunately they refused to refund even if it is possible half refundable or even compliment us with food or snack!!! Nobody was willing to help us out they just responded that the beach isn't our part it's the city council's and if you want to go then it's ok but we will not refund. Very very poor customer service.

Very nice place for leasure and work meeting. You get Seaview and nice concentration for any office work as it is far from City center and has big space for doing all kinds of activities.

Horrible. I don't know how the place is rated 4 stars. This is the worst resort I've been to in all of Africa. The only good thing about them is the big pool and the fact that it's by the beach front. Their rooms are substandard and not clean, their furniture is dirty and hollow and don't know when last they cleaned this place. Don't get me started on the food ๐Ÿ˜ฐ.. Just save your money and go elsewhere, it's maybe good for the locals but its terrible for tourists.

Nice experience at the Landmark. Itโ€™s in a beautiful setting and relaxed area about 30 minutes from the hustle and bustle of downtown. The pool is great and the sea here has a sandbar extending almost 100m out, great for wading into the ocean, the sea isnโ€™t 100% free of human cultural debris but thatโ€™s to be expected this close to a major city. Rooms are fine, bed cozy and nice shower water pressure. AC was broken for first two nights of our stay but I was quite impressed with the staff, they were responsive, sent technician to our room, turned out to be larger problem on the whole floor but, dealt with professionally and as a business owner myself I know that things happen, things donโ€™t always work 100% of the time, but itโ€™s how you respond to adversity that matters most and staff was great. Kevin on the front door is charming and friendly, has some great stories from his time as African long haul truck driver. Young man โ€œjuniorโ€ one of the waiters was our favorite, really sweet and shy but wonderful service. And Sabina on the front desk dealt with our requests and the AC issue with tact and aplomb. A couple things to note; thereโ€™s a large resident Corvid population which I found entertaining and I love crows and ravens so, happy to have them. But theyโ€™re intelligent, curious birds so just donโ€™t leave any small jewelry, small watches, etc laying around while swimming in the pool. Also some roaches in the bathroom at night in our room. Nothing like โ€œawful infestationโ€ just a couple scurrying, and they were very small, but if you canโ€™t handle that, just be warned. But I mean, youโ€™re in Africa, my advice, roll with it and have a good time โœŒ๐Ÿผ

You get value for money by staying at this lovely location and itโ€™s close to the tourist attraction points. The staff is very friendly and ready to be of service. The reason Iโ€™m only giving 3 stars, there is still a lot of improvement needed in the hospitality service level. They still need to work on keeping their promises to clients, restaurants service is very slow for a big group and the hotel has lots of potential, but needs some TLC and upgrades. However, like I said you would get value for money by staying here, as you will save on accommodation costs and spend it on your tourist experience.

Location is good, far from town which allows you some quiet and peace, something I always look for. The swimming pool is bigger than the average. The rooms are big with AC and a balcony with a rejuvenating view of the ocean ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ˜Œ Access to boat rides is fast. I loved Mudia Island. The sandy beach, oh my ๐Ÿ™‚. Carry your bluetooth speaker in case you would wanna jam a bit. I hope to see you again my man Rashid!! ๐Ÿ˜Ž

The views are everything but the service and the hotel was a horrible experience The staff are fake friendly and talk about you in Swahili. They stare at you and whisper to each other the owner is Very rude. The beach was full of trash and dirty diapers the resort is full of crows that will steal your food and belongings. The water leaked in the bathroom, the breakfast was the same everyday I would not recommend this place !!!!!!!!! No to Landmark hotel and resort

Had a great time with family and has the best view and I guess that's the only thing we like. The hotel is neat its just that ut should have been maintained nicely, especially the rooms. We even need to ask someone to help us in somethings, too many to tell. T However, the room is very spacious. I just wish there were more a little bit of things that needs more upgrade. I won'r recomment though the beach for swimming, honestly it has a foul smell that is not good so we opted to just swim in the pool. Anyway, I like the vibe and ambiance. We feel very safe there. Worth the price I may say.

That was my worst food experience in Dar ever. Microwave pizza, prawn cocktail without the prawns. The fillet steak was a stronger flip flop that the ones you get out of the shops. That steak was harder to cut through than a car wheel arch. The poor staff were embarrassed about the length of time it took to come out even though the hotel was empty. Save yourself some money and go next door which is 10 times better.

What I didn't like: - Sluggish service from housekeeping /laundry & check in. - Very dirty beach I mean covered with black sand/mud & plastic waste. - Breakfast is poor with minimal options. - Public beach near-by so there's loud music blasting through out the day & late into the night. What I liked: - Superb views of the ocean from the room balconies. (ocean view option) - AC is super! Dar can get quite hot. - Large & Safe Parking space. - Located in less crowded part of town.

Could definetly be a nice place, and I can't speak about the hotel itself, as we only used the pool area. Staff is generally nice and serviceminded, but what really brings my evaluation down to 1 star, is partly birds and playground for the smallest kids. Playground is so corroded that it's irresponsible at the best to use and a deathtrap in worst case. There are big holes in the main construction from rust, where a kid easily can get both foot and leg down and get terrible wounded.......simply embarrassing...... Part 2 is the birds ...... Well, I do know that it's a hard problem to deal with, but what really strucks me is that no one from the staff are willing to at least go there and scare the birds away when they can clearly see that personally belongings are getting destroyed no less than 4 times. I simply dont get that....... There is literally no chance that we will ever return to that place again....... Sadly....

Stayed here for 3 days, breakfast and the general ambience was great but need to improve cleanliness in the rooms. Fabrics on furnitures such as sofa should be washed and reduce sweat smell in rooms.

The worst experience I have ever had, poor service with total disrespectful. I was super hungry and ordered food and drinks and the waitress provided drinks then she left without saying a thing while they just told me they are preparing the food. We waited 2 hours then went to ask what was happening and they said they all left at the kitchen including the waitress.

I have been the second time in this big hotel north of Dar es Salaam. Great view, a very good pool. Good breakfast. Friendly staff although sometimes a little bit slow. The rooms are outdated so check the room facilities good before dropping the luggage. Especially the bathroom. The wifi is shaky. The bar is nice but calm. Safe place.
