I recently stayed at this location and was very satisfied. The rooms were very clean, bedding was comfortable & staff was amazing. i had dinner at the Oriental restaurant and was pleasantly surprised at the delicious dinner I received. Each course was perfection and pricing was on point. I didn't get a chance to utilize the spa as planned but that just leaves more to explore during my next visit. This is definitely a location I will return to.

Wonderful stay, we were there for a couple of nights and it was simply a Hyatt experience in every way. The reservation process was super easy, the personalized check-in was done with great care, the room was impeccable, and the room service was simply excellent. The breakfast was super complete, offering freshly cut fresh coconut, a variety of healthy and organic products, freshly squeezed natural orange juice, and the Benedict eggs were a spectacle. The Roof Top and the Oriental restaurant had an excellent offering and the experience was top-notch. I want to emphasize once again the treatment we received at the Front Office. They courteously offered us a late check-out paying an extra fee, and we gladly accepted since our flight was in the afternoon. Without a doubt, the best option in Dar es Salaam. Congratulations to the Operations Manager and the entire team for their excellent work and service. 5-star superior.

If you are coming to Tanzania and staying in Dar Es Salaam, this is the Best hotel by far. Me and my husband stayed in this hotel for 16 nights. Staff at check in was friendly, polite and welcoming. Very good daily breakfast with lots of selection including Asian breakfast. The Asian restaurant in the hotel (Oriental) has one of the best Asian dishes in Dar Es Salaam. Very nice infinity pool with the view of the ocean. Hotel manager, Alex is very professional and friendly, always around the hotel interacting with guests and making sure that guests are happy and comfortable during their stay. Staff in the hotel very friendly, always smiling, takes interest about your stay by engaging a conversation. Rooms are clean, bed is comfortable with proper daily house keeping services. Overall the hotel is very modern and has a nice ambience as soon as you enter. Locals often choose to use this hotel as a venue for their wedding parties or private functions. Will definitely stay in this hotel again when I travel to Dar Es Salaam.

I had the pleasure of staying here for two weeks for a work trip. I was given a room with a beautiful view of the harbor. Wow, what an incredible stay! Everyday, the breakfast buffet was varied, delicious, and beautifully appointed. The staff were kind, helpful, and incredible. I made ample use the of the excellent hotel gym, sauna, and steam room (all complimentary). And in terms of location, the hotel is located close to the Indian neighborhood of Dar, which includes a plethora of excellent eateries. The ferry terminal to Zanzibar is also less than 5 minutes away from taxi, which is very convenient.

Stayed here for 2 nights on business trip. Location was convenient for me and my stay was pleasent. Beds are bit hard so had difficulties in sleeping. Breakfast options are good. Outdoor sitting area is very nice filled with greenery and tall trees🌲🌳🌴. They also have koi pond

The restaurants available at Hyatt are high end and provide amazing privacy. The meals and drinks are just spectacular! Its a great place to have an intimate and well thought date. The level 8 bar has a breathtaking view, perfect for a calm night out.

Close to the airport and easy to reach. Staff is more than friendly and the rooms are fantastic. Breakfast at the Palm restaurant is amazing and the restaurant staff is fantastic. For lunch at the pool you need some patience, but as soon as your order is served, you will certainly enjoy it.

A solid hotel choice for your business stay in Dar es Salaam. Food options are nice, but limited by time of day. Best place you can eat, for the views and for the food, is up on the eighth floor so you can enjoy the view of the port. Breakfast can get a bit crowded, but food is quite good, as well. Rooms are comfortable and up-to-date and all amenities are very nice. A very good hotel!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Hyatt Regency and dining at one of their restaurants, and I must say, the experience exceeded my expectations. From the moment I entered the hotel, I was greeted with a sense of luxury and sophistication that set the tone for the entire visit. The restaurant itself was a culinary haven. The ambiance was a perfect blend of modern elegance and comfort, creating a relaxing atmosphere for a delightful meal. The staff were not only attentive but also genuinely friendly, making me feel like a valued guest. Overall, my visit to the restaurant at Hyatt Regency was nothing short of exceptional. It's a destination for those who appreciate not only exquisite cuisine but also impeccable service and a refined atmosphere. If you're looking to indulge in a memorable dining experience that encapsulates luxury and culinary artistry, a visit to Hyatt Regency is an absolute must.

The views from level 8 are incredible. Great spot for sundowners. The food is pricey, but just OK. Cocktails are good, but not worth the price. Great place if you want to take pictures for the gram. Service is good

Nice facilities, they have good spa service, but the main attraction is the 'infinity pool' with a view of the sea. Even though it's the port area it's mostly blocked by tree planting, still great to relax or take some pics. Good drinks selection but vegetarian options are lacking in the first floor bar. The Level 8 bar (top floor) is also good for an evening coffee or drink with a '360' view of the city and the sea, haven't tried the food. The service is good and quick too.

Honestly, this hotel has decent amenities and rooms. Where it falls short is the service, however there is a new operations director David, who was very quick to rectify whatever issues we had. He went above and beyond to make the rest of our stay enjoyable so I have no doubt that in time he will seriously turn things around here. Thanks to David once again for his understanding and efforts.

The Hyatt Kilimanjaro is probably one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. The service is really fantastic and they really go above and beyond. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The food was truly delicious and there were many options. I was there for work and the conference facilities was also top tier. The spa! Gorgeous facilities and back and neck massage was exceptional! Close to several tourist attractions and short taxi to others. This is definitely a high recommendation!

The service is excellent, the various themed meal at different points in the week are another draw. I would say you can find something for everyone here. The place is also pretty popular with families, Sunday brunch is a great example it is almost always fully booked. Which reminds minds me to tell you to make reservations if you want to have a meal here at any of the restaurants, it is that popular it seems and the kitchen staff are great so I can see why.

Perfect services. I enjoyed the food at hyatt. The breakfast was the best. The pastries were a wide range. The location is perfect for the views of the ferry and the port. The gym, the sauna, swimming pool all completed the place. The rooms were magnificent. The best!

Enjoyed a great week here for a work event. The front desk staff were very accommodating, finding me a room for an extra night when I had booked a reservation for the wrong dates. My room had a lovely view over the water. Housekeeping and laundry were great. I enjoyed free use of the World of Hyatt lounge as a Globalist and Grace who works there spoiled me and my coworkers with her wonderful hospitality. Breakfast was also wonderful - different Nutella baked goods every day! - and was open very late, almost to lunchtime, with great service. Would definitely stay again!

Very clean and welcoming. Staff are courteous and ready to help. It's a one stop place for all your needs during meetings, businesses and other related events. The food is African with a touch of Western cuisines, and it's well done. Try a mixture of orange and passion juice. The location is good.

Upon our arrival we were really well received by the team and especially by MYRIAM in the hotel reception. She is very kind and professional, really a very qualified person. I appreciate a lot the check in and check out. I would also like to thank the gentleman who takes care of the coconut in the breakfast, he is very kind and helpful. Really highly recommended hotel.

I usually come here for coffee as they serve delicious coffee. But today was something else. I ordered Mocha and believe me that mocha was worst than a roadside coffee shop. I told staff to take it back. Staff didn’t bother to ask me whether she could bring another cup of coffee. She just gave me bill without coffee. I think Hyaat needs to learn what service is though its a 5 star hotel. May not come back to the place.

For the past two weeks, me and my wife have enjoyed staying at the hotel. Besides a great hotel in a super location with nice rooms and good facilities, the hotel has a fantastic staff. We have rarely experienced a staff so friendly, service minded and hospitable. From the front desk to the cleaners, servers, security and management; everyone was responsible for this unforgettable experience. Thank you!

Maintenance and service is awful at level 8. The ambience and location is perfect. They charge 10,000 for a small cup of coffee not value for money if the service is extremely slow.

Great Hotel with friendly and courteous staff. Delicious, international choice of food and drinks. It has a nice rooftop bar and a terrace with a stunning view. Due to the fact, that the pool is on the first floor, you donβ€˜t see the big road in front of the hotel.

Loved the place! Bernard at Front Desk as well as Joan made our stay just a wee more special! Had a couple of meals at the restaurant and the sirloin is highly recommended. My fav things were the souvenirs store, gym, pool and breakfast chia pudding which I had every morning! 😝

Great service, super attentive staff members from gate, to entrance to the reception. Cozy and warm atmosphere in the entire hotel with an excellent breakfast and awesome variety. However, this morning, I found a dead fly in the pineapple bowl at the buffett and it would be important that the hotel tries to do something about the quite high number of mosquitos in the bar area on the ground floor, the same goes for flies around the breakfast area (and especially the food!).

This hotel is simply phenomenal! I stayed here for 6 nights on a business trip. I had a standard room with city views. The room was sparkling clean, every amenity provided was in top condition. The food throughout my stay, from breakfast, to the flame tree restaurant, oriental restaurant and room service is delicious, served hot, with minimal wait times. I did initially think that room service requires more of a variety, however the restaurants do deliver straight to the room and that provides all the variety you really need to get through the week's dinners. The hotel kindly provides bottled drinking water. Staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. This is my third Hyatt stay globally and they continue to exceed expectations for a comfortable, enjoyable stay. This hotel does however have many evening corporate events on its 8th floor, conference hall and outside area however the noise is controlled and the events end at a decent time. Worth every penny, I'd be back... in a heartbeat!

We spent one night on our return from Safari and Zanzibar. It was a great way to end our holiday on a luxury note. It’s in the diplomatic area so if you do go for a walk don’t be taking pictures of government buildings or you may have to delete them (as we had too) if stopped by armed guards at the president’s residence 😬πŸ₯ΈπŸ˜Ž

Speak about serenity? Then here is a right place for such an experience. I would say if you desire a touch of excellence, then this is a right place for your desire to be fulfilled. It's a place were regrets has no position, but it's joy throughout.

Excellent choice if you need an upscale, amenities laden, central location for business . Staff is attentive, friendly and professional. There are several restaurant options and it is a convenient place to have meetings without venturing into the city center too often. If you’re looking for a quieter stay, like a family hotel with beach/ ocean views then this isn’t a good option.

The hotel was very nice. Clean & organized well. I had dinner, the food was fine. The only thing I noticed that they talk long time to prepare the food. Also, I had to call few times to house keeping just to get what I needed.

very disappointing. I can't believe this is a 5 star hotel. We made a reservation at the Oriental Restaurant two days ago and confirmed three times as today was our wedding anniversary. We arrived at the hotel and tried to enter, but they said we couldn't get in. While we were waiting, the staff came and told us to enter through the back door. The road was cobblestone and my shoes had broken heels. It was an anniversary, so I was wearing my favorite shoes, but they were damaged. And when I got to the hall they said the restaurant we had a reservation at was closed. I checked my reservation three times. We were directed to the restaurant next door. I'm so angry. There were a lot of things that couldn't be ordered, so I ordered spaghetti bolognese and pizza steak. The starter, fried squid, was okay, but the spaghetti and pizza were too salty, and the cheesecake we ordered for dessert was cheesecake without cream cheese. Oh, the manager said sorry and gave me wine, but I don't like alcohol. You ruined my anniversary like this. I've been in Africa for 10 years, but this is the first time I've experienced anything like this. I hope you don't go through the same thing as me.

Did not stay but went there twice in Jan 2023 (once for shooters tasting and then to attend a friend's function). Staff is extremely polite and attentive. Location is simply superb, looking over Indian ocean. Food also I found good. It's certainly one of the best places to stay in DAR...

This is a Beautiful Hotel. Swimming pool is beautiful. Staff is very kind and helpful. Clean and bed is super comfortable. Only issue was I could hear all the noises from outside. People talking laughing loud and some constructions were going on. But there was a security person on my floor if someone make noice he ask people to reduce the noice. Well arranged everything.
