It has always been a serene escape visiting this public beach. The beach is meticulously maintained, with dedicated staff ensuring that it remains free from litter and debris. It is always refreshing to find a beach where I can relax and enjoy the surroundings without being bothered by trash or pollution. The waters at the beach are simply mesmerizing. The clarity and vibrant hues of blue are unparalleled, making it a paradise for swimmers. The sunsets at the beach are nothing short of breathtaking. As the sun dips below the horizon, the sky is painted with vibrant hues of orange, pink, and purple, creating a spectacle that leaves you awe-inspired. Watching the sunset at this beach is an experience that should not be missed. It can be too crowded at times but it is a beach lover's paradise that offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, tranquility and spending quality time with the loved ones. With its pristine shores, crystal-clear waters, and serene atmosphere, it provides an unforgettable escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

Quite a nice Beach as such, however quite crowded, actually too much crowded for me. Water was very warm, we went few days later to Zanzibar and the water was much colder than here. On the Coco Beach itself there is also plenty of Bars as well.

It Could be a nice beach .the problem is that local are so dirty . They keep it like rubbish . If you want to have a nice swim,go 7/8 am morning time .water cleaner but the sand is like a carpet of rubbish . This is for all the area of dar es Salam !! Do not expect to find clean beaches all around . Again local are the problem. Drops everything on the beach and I saw with my eyes .. Regarding a reasonable cleaner beach you must pay and still trust me is not clean the sand ..the beach is MBUDYA . Again local are the problem keep it like rubbish .. But they laugh ๐Ÿ˜‚!!

Visiting Coco beach is a great way to experience the outdoors in Dar es Salaam. Super location thatโ€™s just beside the main road, so itโ€™s easily accessible. The entire stretch is lined by small food stands where you can try a number of local delicacies and fresh drinks. Would have been a lot better if this beach is consistently kept clean, especially a particular section where the air is also laden with the smell of fish (I hear thereโ€™s a fish market nearby). There are also some lounges on the cleaner section, with super nice vibes.

A nice public beach for many activities. Whether you just want to take a walk on the sand & enjoy the breeze, catch waves in the early morning for the surfers, enjoy the popular mihogo & mishkaki(fried cassava & beef skewers), take a dip and swim in the Indian ocean, Take photos in the many vantage points along the shoreline (for the curious souls), workout along the shoreline, let the ocean breeze sing to you when doing a yoga session or even have a picnic in some spots... Avoid this place on public holidays as it gets overcrowded. Also, the upkeep could be better but overall quite a versatile location

This is a public beach in posh streets of Dar es salaam itโ€™s usually busy during the holidays with most of local people visit it with their families but there some good local foods, beautiful view and a lot of local culture to see from beach hall to crafts. Itโ€™s advised to visit it during weekdays where is less busy

The best part about coco beach is that you get to be so close to the ocean and enjoy the view while you're having the amazing cassava, potato crisps, sururu with mix and sugarcane juice and many more.

Nearest beach from Dar Es Salaam city centre. However, the waste management is poor, and the beach is full of garbage. Most of the local food stalls don't have much to offer except a few skewers, fried yams, chicken, and chips. Also, those stalls are infamous for charging exorbitant amounts to tourists. The place has good potential, sadly its nowhere to realising it.

Depends on which end of the beach you go to since it's quite large. I went to the side with the local shops that sell the meat and fried cassava. Was really good. Friendly service and value for money

Avoid the restaurant and the owner in the photos attached. 100% upcharge if youโ€™re a tourist - no menus, no pricesโ€ฆ so we ordered exactly what the locals next to us had. We befriended them only to find out they were charged 31k shilling ($12) while we were charged 65k shillings ($26) When we confronted him, he couldnโ€™t refund us because he had just come back from spending the spoils of his scam on a bag of weed in his hand ๐Ÿ˜… A disgrace to an otherwise beautiful country

Cozy place to be, the sea breeze is worth being there but one thing to be worked on: the cleanliness of the place. As it is a public beach, I urge that the government to arrange some sort of cleaning the beach area.
