πŸ‘πŸ‘ The best Ethiopian food you're going to have with excellent value for money. This is a real tucked away gem, a little harder to find but well worth it. The flavours are perfectly tuned and the prices cannot be beat. Try the mead! People often mention Ethiopian, restaurant, good, delicious, time, recommend, Great, service, price, prices,

Rohobot is a great place for Ethiopian food in Dar. We have come here multiple times for lunch and have never been disappointed. The different combinations are great value for money and give you an option to taste different dishes at the same time. It's best if you are at least two people (the combo options are best for two or more people). Their Injera is also delicious, and the honey wine is also quite interesting. The atmosphere gives a chilled, old household vibe. Highly recommend it.

It's in a nice quiet place . The hotel is clean and the service is awesome. The Ethiopian food is so sweet . I totally enjoyed being there . Don't be scared of the slam kinda feeling of the outside. It's a safe place though .

If you can get past the fact that this restaurant is located in a random ghetto in Masaki then you're in for a treat. Inside, the decor and ambiance captures the traditional Ethiopian mood and thr food is one of the best Ethiopian I've ever had. I always recommend this place to people.

The BEST Ethiopian food I’ve ever had. This restaurant always surpass my expectations. I’ve been here a few times and now I will definitely come every week as the food, the place and the staff are on another level. The injera is really good and all the condiments I have tried are phenomenal! The restaurant is really well put and maintained so well, also the staff is very polite and always ready to help you with anything you need, they go above and beyond 🀩 I am so impressed and I recommend this to everyone that wants to try Ethiopian food as they are going to fall in love! This is the BEST Ethiopian restaurant in Dar by far.

Had a delivery done to my hotel. On the map it showed the restaurant was 10min away. Made an order through Piki the app at 19:30, received my order by 21:15. The packaging is great. If you are looking for a craving satisfaction its the place. My sega fir-fir wasn’t so spicy which was a disappointment. But overall not so bad. & i paid for the packaging containers after reading reviews of bad packaging.

Very good food at cheap prices. A lot of artistic stuff representing the Ethiopian culture. I would recommend that every guest gets a narrative of the Ethiopian culture by the attendants to understand better why we see what we see at the restaurant and the food is in that modality

The Uber did not trust me that it's a good restaurant inside such small alley. First time ever I experienced Ethiopian food in traditional way - eating by hands - but i am not good enough with only 2 fingers. Both beef and mushrooms are good and you should come with friends as 1 serving is large.

WHEN YOU ARRIVE: you don't realize that there is a restaurant... really you need to go through a narrow alley between two houses to reach the BEST Ethiopian restaurant in Dar. The owner and service are very friendly. It was a pleasant new experience to eat Ethiopian food with my hands! I recommend this place for those who are brave enough to try different type of food! Just be carful with the spicy sauce.... it is really spicy!

My favorite Ethiopian restaurant in Tanzania at the lowest price ever. Enter in a home-like place and enjoy the authentic taste of the freshly cooked food. It is located in the hearth of Msasani area, just next to where Wonder Workshop is.

Have been here a few times and food taste has been good and consistant. It’s the best thing about this place that you don’t need to feel anxious about the food quality. The location is tricky though. Service is fast. Be prepared to have a full, heavy meal. Price is affordable. Recommended for Ethiopian food experience in Dar. Family friendly place.

I ordered a modified vegetarian platter, this included spicy lentils, tomato salad and pumpkin leaves with injera (Ethiopian bread). No egg, no meat or fish. The food was good, but I thought the price of Tsh 25,000 was exorbitant for a single serving. Also, the restaurant itself is nice, but it is not in a β€œhigh rent” area; it is very local so I could not understand the justification for prices higher than what I have paid for a vegetarian platter in the United States.

What a memorable meal! Loved it. Owned and operated by an Ethiopian family. The food was tasty - we got the meal for 3 vege and non-vege dishes that fed 4 of us. Very reasonable $35 for 4 people incl. Beer, wine, coffee and soft drinks. Had the traditional Tej (honey wine) brewed by the owners - very nice. Coffee is roasted and brewed over coals, while you watch, fresh and delicious. Highly recommend!

Today, I arrived in Dar Es Salaam on a solo trip, my first time in Dar and may first time to try Ethiopian food. I just felt compelled to visit this restaurant that had very good reviews. As my Uber drove down the bumpy dirt road, I must say I had my doubts, I walked through an ally and Teruwork, the owner kindly welcomed me. Before I knew it, I was enjoying one of the best meals ever. I adore Indian cuisine and take cooking lessons. This was better and yes I want a cooking lesson! Teruwork and her family were so kind, other guests arrived and seeing I was alone invited me to join them and we had such a beautiful evening. I will cherish this evening. This is a gem that you must enjoy.

Everyone that works there is very kind and the location is full of Ethiopian vibes, you will have a peaceful dinner. Every time I'm in Dar I need to go to eat at Rohobot and I suggest everyone to try it.

Best Ethiopian food in Dar with a cultural feel to the atmosphere, and home cooked from mama 😊. Her injera is the only teff I'll eat. The food is comparable to Desta in the states and if you know about Desta you know the food is bomb. Plus the honey wine is a must try!

As someone who loves (veg) Ethiopian/Eritrean food and having been to many different restaurants with this cuisine, this is the one with the best injera I've had and they changed my mind about shiro which I previously didn't like at other restaurants. It was very tasty. Great prices, lovely people and love the authenticity including the mesob baskets which we don't get in London Habesha restaurants.

My favorite place to eat in Dar! I prefer this Ethiopian restaurant over the other one due to its better vegetarian selections. I’m choosing food quality over vibe every time! The food, service and environment is all so warm and inviting. I always leave wanting more.

One of two great Ethiopian restaurants in the city - Rohobot is on a muddy off-beat road and appears fairly downtrodden. But the food is good. Go with friends and pick a beef, chicken and seafood dish to go with the injera - you won’t be disappointed.
