I was visiting Zanzibar first 2 weeks of December. Me and my friends booked 14 nights in Blue Reef Sport&Fishing Logde. It was best deciosion ever!!! Place is amazing. The owners Thomas, Nicky and Nathan are warm, friendly, helpful family. They were very kind, always asking if we need anything, always have a time for a small talk during our stay. The place have fantastic vibe, we were amazed how we felt this family atmosphere there. The food was delicious, every day you can choose from list of great dishes, every day catch of the day. Trio of tuna, my favourite. When it came to center of Blue Reef "the bar" we cannot forget about the Staff, all kind and smiled every day, Wilhelmina, Anton, Juma, Carlos, Boniface and of course Natty, creator of all specials, from the heart, creations, vibrations drinks!!! Don't think too much and visit this great place, I will come back for sure!

Very beautiful place food

Really bad experience with a tour operator working for this hotel. Man named Pando ripped us off and he locked us in the car and threatened us. Said he was gonna fight us and put us in jail. Never go on tour with him or this hotel

We just had our lunch here. I ordered samosa and it was delicious. My better part ordered tropical sandwich and a brownie and she also said it was good. Nice place with sunsbeds, sofas and some bedswings. The staff was friendly and the food came quite quickly. I would come here again.

I am here to review the restaurant. I ordered the mixed salad and got shredded cucumbers being 90% of the dish. I don't eat cucumbers. The only redeeming part was that the salad dressing on it was delicious. That all I ate. Waiter came saw the situation didn't say a word. Didn't want to cause a fuss. You would think an experienced waiter would ask a guest when they see they barely ate the food. Service needs a-lot of improvement here. Otherwise my friends did enjoy their meals.

They compelled us to have a lunch there when their employee was bringing a freshly caught octopus from the ocean right in front of our eyes. That was a cool experience indeed. The result was really tasty as well. Only downside is that they charge extra fee for paying by credit card (I know it relatively “normal” but never a pleasant surprise)

We stayed for some drink, the service was very good, drinks and food at normal prices.

Good smoothies and mocktails and lots of space to chill out. Upstairs space is nice for a view across the beach.

Lodge is very well maintained and run by nice owners. All service is provided by team of nice staff and I can recommend this place to all others. Jambiani is out of crowded tourist places and we enjoyed it much more than other spots.

I have to say the owners did a lot of work to renovate this amazing place directly on the beach! Everything is very high quality there, the accomodation, bar, food, drinks and the stuff... It is good for couples, families or group of friends. You can arrange your trips here, go for adventure with professional fisherman and have one of the best trips in your life! Also the owners are very friendly, open and helpful :) In the evening you can walk 2 minutes and have very good drink or food.... if you like some sports you can play table tenis, billiard etc. If you are lucky and get Natty as barman you will get not only amazing drink but also you will be not bored because he is just really nice person :)

Good lodge with varying room categories to fit your needs and budget. Owners are excellent 👌 folks residing on site, making sure lodgers get the value paid for. They were very quick to offer solutions to a room booking issue we had. By the way, they churn out great woodfired pizzas!

I have only visited York food and beverages, but the staff are great.

The worst place in the world - go anywhere but here. They are absolute thieves who are incapable of taking even a small amount of responsibility for mistakes. An experience so truly awful I will never forget it!

Lovely place,Nathan and Thomas organizes good fishing tours. They serve nice foods and have lots of other activities. The beach is nice also

Most amazing place on our whole trip, friendly and family-like feeling staff. Really nice owners with a cool history of the lodge. The food was super fresh and really amazing. All in all a must stay if you go to Zanzibar. If I would go again, I would probably stay 80% of the holidays in the lodge!

Be very careful with this hotel - they will ask you to pay cash and at the same time they will block same amount of money in your credit card! Now 15 days after paying cash I can not take my money from the credit card.

Amazing time with an amazing crew and a great boat and rigging. So much fun I wish I could go every day.

We tried fresh juices and 50% of it was just cold water from the fridge. Personel is nice, good look of the place, but juices are a fraud, for 8000 ztl each.

Stayed here for a weekend, stunning location and really amazing team running the place. The owners were very nice and the staff working there went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Will be back!

One of the few places that offer good coffee and fresh coconut in Jambiani. They do however push you a bit to order food which wasn't great. We did go for dinner one time and ut was in fact good.

Relaxed lodge with amazing views. Located little outside the very touristic places on zanzibar, making it perfect for a laid-back holiday. Staff is very friendly and helpful. True beach feeling and highly recommended.

Awesome place in Jambiani. Great cocktails, food and staff. If you go out fishing you get your catch prepared for you in the restaurant when you return. Absolute amazing. 👌

We have stayed at Blue Reef Bungalows for two nights in January. Overall, the place is really great. Friendly staff, clean (if somewhat dark) bungalow. The beforementioned lack of bathroom door has not bothered us at all. There were prologed power outages during our stay, but the staff allways started a generator on request, so that we could take a shower. Breakfasts were a bit basic (eggs, yoghurt with cereals or pancakes), but tasty. Good pizzas on the spot. Restaurant is at their main establishment, cca 2 min walk on the beach, there you can have a la carte dinner or lunch. We had a dinner there on the first day, it was not bad in any way, but have to admit we have eaten better on Zanzibar. The place is quiet, comfortable, really welcoming family atmosphere. And the setting is unbelievable - right on the beach, weith a breathtaking view. If you are looking for an affordable accomodation in Jambiani, this is definitely the place to go.
